What is All The Arcanist Gear?
1 part
All The Arcanist Gear adds Arcanist armor in Allthemodium, Vibranium and Unobtainium. This pack ships version 1.21.1-21.3.0 of the mod.[1][2]
Each metal comes as a full set of hat, robes, leggings and boots. For Allthemodium that means Allthemodium Arcanist Hat, Allthemodium Arcanist Robes, Allthemodium Arcanist Leggings and Allthemodium Arcanist Boots. The Vibranium and Unobtainium sets follow the same naming pattern.[2]
Where it sits in the quest book
The pack's quest book puts this armor in the "basic_armor" chapter. Each metal has its own quest there, and each quest has you hold the hat, robes, leggings and boots of that set.[2]
- Allthemodium set: a quest in "?"[2]
- Unobtainium set: a quest in "?"[2]
- Vibranium set: a quest in "?"[2]
Unverified Whether the ATM Star path uses this mod is not shown by the sources here. That path is laid out in the pack's quest book, and the basic_armor chapter listing does not say anything about it.
How do you get started with All The Arcanist Gear?
3 parts
Getting into this mod is a straight upgrade ladder, and the order is Allthemodium, then Vibranium, then Unobtainium. In this pack the armor and spell book tiers are all smithing recipes, and the pack has changed them from the mod's defaults, so trust the recipe blocks below over what you remember.[3]
Step by step
- Start with the Allthemodium armor. Each piece is a smithing upgrade of an elemental Arcanist armor piece (hat, chest, legs or boots). That gets you Allthemodium Arcanist Hat, Allthemodium Arcanist Robes, Allthemodium Arcanist Leggings and Allthemodium Arcanist Boots.[3]
- Upgrade the Allthemodium pieces to Vibranium. Each Allthemodium piece is the base item for its Vibranium version, so you keep what you already made and upgrade it.[3]
- Finish with Unobtainium. Each Vibranium piece is the base item for its Unobtainium version.[3]
Here are the four first-tier recipes. The recipe blocks show the exact in-pack ingredients.[2][3]

Spell books
The spell books climb the same ladder. The Allthemodium Spell Book is a smithing upgrade of the Archmage Spell Book. After that, the Vibranium Spell Book upgrades the Allthemodium one, and the Unobtainium Spell Book upgrades the Vibranium one.[3]

Threads
Once your armor is going, look at the threads. Each one is made at the Enchanting Apparatus from a Blank Thread plus a few extra items, and each gives a perk.[3][4]
- Vitality grants an extra heart for each level.[3][4]
- Flight grants creative flight, but it must be equipped in a slot of at least level 4.[3][4]
- True Sight gives Nightvision at Tier 1, Blindness immunity at Tier 2, Darkness immunity at Tier 3 and lava vision at Tier 4.[4]
- Spectral Sight lets you see creatures through walls, with a radius of 8 blocks per level.[3][4]

How does All The Arcanist Gear work?
4 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10: To the Sky 2.0.4 guide
The sources show All The Arcanist Gear as a set of armor, spell books and perk threads. They describe no machines, multiblocks or power systems, so the mechanics here come down to upgrade chains and what each thread does.[4][5]
The smithing upgrade chain
The armor is made by upgrading in a smithing table, not by crafting from scratch. The pack changed all of the smithing recipes listed here. The Allthemodium pieces start from the matching elemental armor piece plus an Allthemodium ingot. The Unobtainium pieces start from the Vibranium version of the same piece plus an Unobtainium ingot. Each step also needs an item from that tier's smithing tag.[5]
Here is the boots line as an example. The sources show the Vibranium step for the boots only, going from Allthemodium boots to Vibranium boots.[5]

Smithing Transform
Vibranium Arcanist Boots
- any unobtainium smithing
- any unobtainium ingot
Recipe id: allthearcanistgear:unobtainium_boots_smithing
Step three: Vibranium boots to Unobtainium Arcanist Boots. This recipe is changed by the pack.
The Unobtainium hat, robes and leggings each take the Vibranium version of that piece. The Allthemodium Arcanist Hat, Allthemodium Arcanist Robes and Allthemodium Arcanist Leggings recipes start from the elemental hat, chest and legs.[5]
Spell book upgrades
Spell books follow the same idea. The Allthemodium Spell Book is smithed from Ars Nouveau's Archmage Spell Book, and the Unobtainium Spell Book is smithed from the Vibranium Spell Book. Both recipes are changed by the pack.[5]

The mod also has chat messages for blocks that need more power to break: one says you need a more powerful spell book, the other says you need more amplification. The sources don't explain which blocks this applies to.[4]
Threads and their perks
Threads are the perk items of this mod. Each one is made at Ars Nouveau's Enchanting Apparatus from a Blank Thread plus extra ingredients, and each gives a different effect.[4][5]
- Flight: grants creative flight. It must be equipped in a slot of at least level 4.[4]
- Spectral Sight: lets you see creatures through walls, in a radius of 8 blocks per level.[4]
- True Sight: tier 1 grants Nightvision, tier 2 grants immunity to Blindness, tier 3 grants immunity to Darkness and tier 4 grants lava vision.[4]
- Vitality: grants an extra heart for each level.[4]

Creative Spell Book
The pack adds its own way to craft the Creative Spell Book, and it builds on the Unobtainium Spell Book.[5]
The mod's own recipe is a shapeless one that turns Ars Nouveau's Creative Spell Book into this mod's version.[5]

How do you progress through All The Arcanist Gear?
4 parts
Arcanist gear in this pack climbs a ladder: Allthemodium, then Vibranium, then Unobtainium. Armor and spell books both follow it. Every step is a smithing upgrade, so you build on the previous tier's piece instead of starting from scratch.[3]
The pack changes these smithing recipes from the mod's own. Use the recipe blocks below as the truth for this pack.[3]
Allthemodium tier
The entry point is the Allthemodium armor set: Allthemodium Arcanist Hat, Allthemodium Arcanist Robes, Allthemodium Arcanist Leggings and Allthemodium Arcanist Boots. Each piece is a smithing upgrade of the matching elemental armor piece (hat, chest, legs or boots).[3]

Vibranium tier
Next up is Vibranium. Vibranium Arcanist Hat, Vibranium Arcanist Robes, Vibranium Arcanist Leggings and Vibranium Arcanist Boots are each a smithing upgrade of the matching Allthemodium piece. The Vibranium Spell Book upgrades the Allthemodium Spell Book.[3]

Unobtainium tier
The top tier is Unobtainium. Unobtainium Arcanist Hat, Unobtainium Arcanist Robes, Unobtainium Arcanist Leggings and Unobtainium Arcanist Boots each upgrade the matching Vibranium piece. The Unobtainium Spell Book upgrades the Vibranium Spell Book in the same way.[3]

Quests
The pack's basic_armor quest chapter has a quest for each armor tier, and each one asks for the hat, robes, leggings and boots of that tier. These quests are untitled in the pack files.[2]
- a quest in "?" asks for the Allthemodium hat, robes, leggings and boots.[2]
- a quest in "?" asks for the Vibranium hat, robes, leggings and boots.[2]
- a quest in "?" asks for the Unobtainium hat, robes, leggings and boots.[2]
How does All The Arcanist Gear work with other mods?
3 parts
All The Arcanist Gear is mostly a bridge to Ars Nouveau. Every cross-mod recipe in the pack that involves it either starts from an Ars Nouveau item or is made on an Ars Nouveau crafting station.[3]
Ars Nouveau threads
The threads, Flight, Spectral Sight, True Sight and Vitality, are all made in Ars Nouveau's Enchanting Apparatus. Each one starts from Blank Thread and adds vanilla items. Flight also needs Air Essence. These are the mod's own recipes, and the pack doesn't change them.[3]

Spell books
The Allthemodium Spell Book is a smithing upgrade of Ars Nouveau's Archmage Spell Book. The pack has changed this recipe from the mod's version, so follow the recipe below rather than anything you remember from outside the pack.[3]

There is also a straight swap: a shapeless crafting recipe turns Ars Nouveau's Creative Spell Book into this mod's Creative Spell Book.[3]
Quests
The "basic_armor" quest chapter asks you for full sets of Arcanist armor: hat, robes, leggings and boots. There is a quest for the allthemodium set (a quest in "?"), one for the unobtainium set (a quest in "?") and one for the vibranium set (a quest in "?"). Their tasks only list this mod's armor pieces, so they don't directly require items from other mods.[2]
Which All the Mods 10: To the Sky quests use All The Arcanist Gear?
2 parts
All the Arcanist Gear appears in a single quest chapter in the pack: "basic_armor". Its quests are split by metal, and each quest has item tasks for that metal's hat, robes, leggings and boots.[2]
What the chapter asks for
- Quest a quest in "?" is the Allthemodium set. Its tasks are Allthemodium Arcanist Hat, Allthemodium Arcanist Robes, Allthemodium Arcanist Leggings and Allthemodium Arcanist Boots.[2]
- Quest a quest in "?" is the Unobtainium set. Its tasks are Unobtainium Arcanist Hat, Unobtainium Arcanist Robes, Unobtainium Arcanist Leggings and Unobtainium Arcanist Boots.[2]
- Quest a quest in "?" is the Vibranium set. Its tasks are Vibranium Arcanist Hat, Vibranium Arcanist Robes, Vibranium Arcanist Leggings and Vibranium Arcanist Boots.[2]
Order
The chapter lists the quests in this order: Allthemodium, then Unobtainium, then Vibranium. These quests are untitled in the pack files, so the quest IDs are the only labels you get.[2]
