What is Gravitational Modulating Additional Unit?
2 parts
The Module Gravitational Modulating Additional Unit is a module unit that upgrades the Gravitational Modulating Unit. It is an add-on to that unit, so you need to install both to use it. This pack ships version 6.4 of the mod, built for 1.21.1.[1][2]
What it changes
The quest text lists three upgrades while you are flying. You stop instantly when you let go of your movement keys. You can ascend faster. And you can fly always.[2]
Where it sits in the quest book
The quest "Gravitational Modulating Additional Unit" quest is in the chapter "Mekanism: Reactors" quest, which is in the "Tech" group (chapter 51 of 70 in the book). The chapter has 92 quests. The quest is tagged "Bodyarmor" and asks you to obtain the module itself.[2]
It comes after "Modification Station" quest. That quest covers the machine you use to put module units into tools and armor. The same quest also unlocks "Shearing Unit" quest (tagged Meka-Tool) and "Electrolytic Breathing Unit" quest (tagged Helmet). So the module sits alongside other Mekanism module units rather than at the end of a chain.[2]
The sources I have don't show any quest that follows it, because most of the chapter's quest text didn't fit here. The rest is told in the quest book itself.[2]
How do you get started with Gravitational Modulating Additional Unit?
2 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 4.2 guide
This mod is a small add-on built around one item: the Module Gravitational Modulating Additional Unit. Its description says it requires the 'Gravitational Modulating Unit' and provides additional features, so it is an upgrade to that unit, not a standalone piece of gear.[3]
Step 1: Get the Gravitational Modulating Unit first
Since the additional unit needs the 'Gravitational Modulating Unit' to work, make sure you have that unit before you craft this one. Otherwise the additional unit has nothing to add to.[3]
Step 2: Craft the additional unit
The additional unit is made with a shaped crafting recipe, and this pack uses the mod's own recipe instead of a custom one. It calls for a Module Base from Module Gravitational Modulating Additional Unit's parent tech tree along with ultimate-tier, polonium and reinforced-alloy materials, so expect to be well into your Mekanism progression before you can make it.[4]
Crafting Shaped
| any reinforced alloy | any ultimate circuit | any reinforced alloy |

| any polonium pellet | any polonium pellet | any polonium pellet |

The exact in-pack recipe for the additional unit.
Unverified The sources don't say which additional features the unit unlocks, which armor piece it goes into, or how many can be installed. Test it in-game or check the mod's own tooltips once you have it.
How does Gravitational Modulating Additional Unit work?
3 parts
This mod is small, and the sources only explain a little of how it works. Here is what can be confirmed.[5]
What the unit does
The mod's own description for the unit says it requires the 'Gravitational Modulating Unit' and provides additional features. So Module Gravitational Modulating Additional Unit is an add-on that depends on that base unit, not something that works on its own.[5]
Crafting it
In this pack the unit is a shaped crafting recipe that comes from the mod itself. The pack has not replaced it with its own version. Here is the exact recipe:[6]
Crafting Shaped
| any reinforced alloy | any ultimate circuit | any reinforced alloy |
| any reinforced alloy | any reinforced alloy | |
| any polonium pellet | any polonium pellet | any polonium pellet |
Recipe id: gmut:module_gravitational_modulating_additional_unit
Controls
The mod adds a keybind called "Vertical Speed Modifier Switch". You can find it in your controls menu.[5]
Unverified The sources don't say what the Vertical Speed Modifier Switch changes in practice, what the base Gravitational Modulating Unit does, or whether the mod has any power, fluid or item handling. There are no config files for this mod in the pack.
How do you progress through Gravitational Modulating Additional Unit?
4 parts
In the pack's quest book, Module Gravitational Modulating Additional Unit is the last link in a short module chain: the Modification Station quest comes first, then the base flight module, then this upgrade.[2]
Where it sits in the quest book
The quest "Gravitational Modulating Additional Unit" quest is in the "Mekanism: Reactors" chapter, in the Tech group (chapter 51 of 70 in the book). It is labelled as a Bodyarmor unit, and the book lists "Modification Station" quest as the quest that comes before it. That quest describes the Modification Station as how you put Module Units into your tools and armor.[2]
In the same chapter, the quest book also lists "Gravitational Modulating Unit" quest, "Charge Distribution Units" quest and "Elytra Unit" quest as Bodyarmor units. Each of them is likewise listed as coming after the Modification Station quest.[2]
The upgrade path
- Start with the Modification Station quest, which the quest book gives as the step before this unit.[2]
- Get Module Gravitational Modulating Unit. Its quest describes it as Creative Flight that uses Energy, and says you can increase your flight speed in its configs.[2]
- Then get Module Gravitational Modulating Additional Unit. Its quest calls it an upgrade to the Gravitational Modulating Unit and says both need to be installed to use them.[2]

What the upgrade does
The quest text says the upgrade makes you stop instantly when you let go of your movement keys in flight. It also says you can ascend faster and fly always.[2]
How does Gravitational Modulating Additional Unit work with other mods?
Same as in the All the Mods 10 4.2 guide
The main integration for this mod in the pack is with Mekanism. The Module Gravitational Modulating Additional Unit is crafted on top of Mekanism's Module Base, so you'll need some Mekanism progress before you can make one.[4]
The recipe is a standard shaped crafting table recipe. Besides the Module Base, it takes ingredients by tag, so any item in the right tag works. That includes the reinforced alloy tag from Mekanism. Check the recipe below for the exact layout used in this pack.[4]

Unverified What the module does once installed, for example whether it goes into Mekanism's MekaSuit and grants flight, isn't confirmed by the pack data used here. Test it in-game before you plan around it.
Which All the Mons quests use Gravitational Modulating Additional Unit?
2 parts
This mod shows up in one place in the quest book: the chapter "Mekanism: Reactors" quest (group "Tech", chapter 51 of 70). The chapter covers reactors, QIO storage and the MekaSuit, and the mod's module is a MekaSuit Bodyarmor upgrade, so it sits in the armor part.[2]
The quest for this mod
"Gravitational Modulating Additional Unit" quest is tagged Bodyarmor and asks for Module Gravitational Modulating Additional Unit. It comes right after "Modification Station" quest, the quest that explains how Module Units get installed into armor and tools.[2]
The quest describes the unit as an upgrade to the Gravitational Modulating Unit, and says both must be installed to use them. The upgrades it lists are: you stop instantly when you release your movement keys in flight, you can ascend faster, and you can fly always.[2]
Quests to read alongside it
- "Gravitational Modulating Unit" quest is the unit this one upgrades. It also follows the Modification Station quest. The quest calls it literally just Creative Flight, says it uses Energy to fly, and says you can raise your flight speed in its configs.[2]
- "Jetpack Unit" quest is a Bodyarmor module that conflicts with flight. The Jetpack Unit quest says you can't use it while the Gravitational Modulating Unit is on, and the Gravitational Modulating Unit quest says the same the other way round.[2]
- "MekaSuit Bodyarmor" quest is the armor these modules go into. It comes after a quest in "Mekanism: Reactors", and the quest says the MekaSuit Bodyarmor has the most Module Units of all the armor.[2]
