Gravitational Modulating Additional Unit in All the Mods 10

Gravitational Modulating Additional Unit is an add-on for the Gravitational Modulating Unit, which is a flight module. The pack ships version 6.4 of it, and it has been in the pack since version 2.25 or earlier.^[1][2]

The module is Module Gravitational Modulating Additional Unit. It's an upgrade, so it doesn't replace the base unit. You need to install both to use them.^[2]

What the upgrade gives you

• You stop instantly when you let go of your movement keys while flying, so there's no more drifting.^[2]
• You ascend faster.^[2]
• You can fly all the time.^[2]

Where it fits in the pack

This is for you if you're building up your armor and want tighter flight control. The pack's questbook covers it in the quest "Gravitational Modulating Additional Unit" quest, which sits in the Mekanism: Reactors chapter under the Bodyarmor tag. It unlocks after the Modification Station quest, so you'll work through that one first.^[2]

Unverified The sources I have don't show this mod on the ATM Star path, so I can't say whether it is part of that route.

This mod adds one item, the Module Gravitational Modulating Additional Unit, so getting started is a short path. It is an upgrade to the Gravitational Modulating Unit, and it requires that unit to work.^[2][3]

Find it in the quest book

The quest "Gravitational Modulating Additional Unit" quest is in the Mekanism: Reactors chapter and comes after the Modification Station quest. Work through that one first, then come here.^[2]

Craft the additional unit

The pack has its own shaped crafting recipe for the module. This is the exact in-pack recipe:^[4]

Install both modules

Both the Gravitational Modulating Unit and the additional unit need to be installed to use them. Once they are, the quest lists these upgrades for flight:^[2]

• You stop instantly when you release your movement keys in flight.^[2]
• You can ascend faster.^[2]
• You can fly always.^[2]

The sources for this mod are very thin, so this section is short. The one thing they confirm is that Module Gravitational Modulating Additional Unit is an add-on piece. Its description says it requires the 'Gravitational Modulating Unit' and provides additional features. In practice, you need the base Gravitational Modulating Unit before this item does anything.^[3][4]

Crafting it

The pack lists this item as a shaped crafting recipe, so you make it on a crafting grid with the ingredients in a fixed layout. The recipe below is the exact in-pack version.^[4]

What isn't confirmed

Unverified The sources don't say what the additional features are, how the item is installed or activated, or whether it uses power, fluids or items. They also don't cover multiblocks, automation, or any config options. The pack has no config files for this mod, so I can't confirm any values. Check the item in-game before relying on any specific behavior.

Good news: progression for this mod is short and sweet. In this pack there is just one item to chase, Module Gravitational Modulating Additional Unit, so there are no separate tiers to climb. It is tracked by a single quest.^[2][4]

The quest

The quest "Gravitational Modulating Additional Unit" quest sits in the Mekanism: Reactors chapter, on the Bodyarmor line. It comes after the Modification Station quest, so unlock that one first. The task is simply to obtain the module.^[2]

What it does

The quest describes this module as an upgrade to the Gravitational Modulating Unit, and says you need both installed for them to work. With the upgrade you stop instantly when you let go of your movement keys in flight, you can ascend faster, and you can fly always.^[2]

How to craft it

The module uses a shaped crafting recipe, listed as the mod's own recipe. The block below shows the exact in-pack version.^[4]

Unverified The sources don't cover how to obtain the base Gravitational Modulating Unit that this upgrade requires, so check its recipe in-game before you plan your build order. This site does hold All the Mods 10's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.

The main link for this mod in the pack is Mekanism. The Module Gravitational Modulating Additional Unit is crafted around Mekanism's Module Base, and the rest of the recipe is made of tag-based inputs, so any item in those tags works.^[4]

Where it shows up in the quests

The pack's quest book puts this item in the "Mekanism: Reactors" chapter, as the quest "Gravitational Modulating Additional Unit" quest, labelled Bodyarmor. It comes after the Modification Station quest, and its task is the item itself.^[2]

The quest text calls it an upgrade to the Gravitational Modulating Unit and says both need to be installed to use them. The upgrades it lists are:^[2]

• You stop instantly when you let go of your movement keys while flying.^[2]
• You can ascend faster.^[2]
• You can fly always.^[2]

This mod shows up in a single quest in the pack, and you'll find it in the Mekanism: Reactors chapter. The quest is "Gravitational Modulating Additional Unit" quest, and it's filed under the Bodyarmor label.^[2]

What the quest asks for

The quest has one task: you need to obtain Module Gravitational Modulating Additional Unit. There is nothing else listed for it.^[2]

Where it fits in the order

The quest comes after the Modification Station quest, so you'll want to finish that one first. The sources don't show anything that comes after this quest.^[2]

What the quest tells you

The quest text describes the module as an upgrade to the Gravitational Modulating Unit. It says both need to be installed to use them. The listed benefits are that you stop instantly when you release your movement keys in flight, that you can ascend faster, and that you can fly always.^[2]

Unverified The sources don't say what the quest rewards, so that is unconfirmed. They also don't say how the module is crafted in this pack, so check in-game before planning around it.

Here's how Gravitational Modulating Additional Unit has moved through the pack's releases. All the Mods 10 8.1 ships version 6.4, and the mod has been in the pack since All the Mods 10 2.25 or earlier.^[1]

• All the Mods 10 2.40: updated from 6.0 to 6.1.^[5]
• All the Mods 10 2.43: updated from 6.1 to 6.3.^[6]
• All the Mods 10 4.6: updated from 6.3 to 6.4, the version still in 8.1.^[1][7]

The jar in 8.1 is GravitationalModulatingAdditionalUnit-1.21.1-6.4.jar, so you're on the 1.21.1 build.^[1]

Unverified The pack changelogs only record the version bumps. What actually changed inside the mod in 6.1, 6.3 and 6.4 (new features, fixes or balance changes) can't be confirmed, because no mod changelogs are stored for the shipped jars.
