What is Botany Pots - Mystical Agriculture Compat?
2 parts
Botany Pots - Mystical Agriculture Compat lets you grow Mystical Agriculture crops inside Botany Pots. According to the mod's description, all crops and soils from Mystical Agriculture and the Mystical Aggriditions addon should be supported. This pack ships version 21.1.12.[1][2]
How tiers work
Every Mystical Agriculture seed has a tier, and a seed only grows in a soil of the same tier or higher. A tier one seed like dirt can go in any mystical farmland. A tier two seed like amethyst needs a tier two soil such as prudentium farmland, or a higher one such as imperium farmland. A grown crop can give you essence, more seeds, and sometimes fertilized essence.[1]
- Soil speed: the mod describes inferium farmland as growing crops 15% faster, with 5% more for each tier, so tier 6 insanium is 40% faster. These soils also work for non-mystical crops that grow in dirt type blocks, like wheat and carrots.[1]
- Crop time: the mod describes tier 1 crops as taking one minute under normal circumstances, with 25% more time for each tier, so a tier 6 crop takes two minutes and fifteen seconds.[1]
What you can configure
The mod creates a config file in your config folder. It lets you change the base growth time for each tier, turn off the soil tier requirement, stop pots producing fertilized essence, and stop pots producing extra seeds. Things like individual crop drops, permitted soils and growth speed are handled by datapacks, not config files.[1]
How do you get started with Botany Pots - Mystical Agriculture Compat?
4 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
This addon lets you grow Mystical Agriculture crops inside Botany Pots. The mod's project page says it supports all seeds and soils from Mystical Agriculture and from the Mystical Aggriditions addon. So your first goal is simple: get a pot, get a soil that fits your seed, and plant.[1]
Step 1: Match the soil to the seed tier
Every Mystical Agriculture seed has a tier. A seed can only be planted in a soil of the same tier or higher. A tier one seed like dirt seeds can go in any mystical farmland. A tier two seed like amethyst needs a tier two soil such as prudentium farmland, or a higher one such as imperium farmland.[1]
So start with tier one seeds and the lowest tier soil. Move up to higher tiers once that setup is running.[1]
Step 2: Know what you get back
A fully grown crop can be harvested for essence and more seeds. Sometimes it also gives fertilized essence.[1]
Step 3: Plan around growth times
The project page says tier 1 crops take one minute to grow under normal circumstances. Each tier adds 25% to the growth time, so a tier 6 crop takes two minutes and fifteen seconds.[1]
Better soil speeds things up. Inferium farmland grows crops 15% faster, and each tier adds another 5%. At tier 6, Insanium grows crops 40% faster.[1]
Things you can change
The mod has a config file that can change the base growth time per tier and disable the soil tier requirement. It can also stop pots from producing fertilized essence or extra seed items. Individual crop properties, such as permitted soils and drops, are handled by datapacks instead of config files.[1]
Unverified I could not confirm any crafting recipes, quests or tooltips for this mod in the pack, so there is no recipe to show here. The growth times and percentages above come from the mod's project page. The pack's actual config values and any changes it makes to them are unverified, so check your config folder if a number looks different in game.
How does Botany Pots - Mystical Agriculture Compat work?
4 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
This addon connects Mystical Agriculture to Botany Pots. Crops and soils from Mystical Agriculture and the Mystical Aggriditions addon should all work in a botany pot, and the core rules come down to soil tiers, growth speed, and what you get when you harvest.[1]
Soil tiers decide what you can plant
Every Mystical Agriculture seed has a tier. To plant it in a botany pot, the soil has to match or exceed that tier. A tier one crop like dirt seeds can go in any mystical farmland. A tier two seed like amethyst needs a tier two soil like prudentium farmland, or a higher one like imperium farmland.[1]
When the crop is fully grown, you can harvest essence and more seeds. Sometimes you also get fertilized essence.[1]
Growth speed and growth time
Two things set how long a harvest takes: the tier of the crop and the tier of the soil. Higher-tier crops grow more slowly, and higher-tier soils grow things faster.[1]
- Soil: inferium farmland grows crops 15% faster, and each tier adds another 5%. At tier 6, Insanium farmland is 40% faster.[1]
- Crop: a tier 1 crop takes one minute to grow under normal circumstances. Each tier adds 25% to the growth time, so a tier 6 crop takes two minutes and fifteen seconds.[1]
- Non-mystical crops: these soils are not limited to mystical crops. They can also grow other crops that grow in dirt-type blocks, like wheat and carrots, and they get the same speed bonus.[1]
What the mod lets you configure
The mod's own description lists a few options: the base growth time for all crops of a given tier (for example, changing tier two from its base of 1:15 to 2:00), disabling the soil tier requirement so mystical crops grow on dirt or any dirt-like soil, stopping pots from producing fertilized essence, and stopping pots from producing extra seed items.[1]
Properties of individual crops, such as growth speed, permitted soils, drops and render options, are handled through datapacks instead of config files.[1]
Unverified No config files for this mod were found in the pack, so whether this pack changes any of those options is unconfirmed. The numbers on this page are the mod's described behavior, not values checked against this pack's settings.
Which crops are supported
All seeds and soils from base Mystical Agriculture are supported, along with content from Mystical Aggriditions. Crops from the Mystical Customization mod are not supported by default. The addon includes a small subset of common or popular custom crops, but anyone making new crops with Mystical Customization has to add the matching botany pot files themselves.[1]
What changed in Botany Pots - Mystical Agriculture Compat between versions?
1 part
All the Mons 1.3.0 ships Botany Pots - Mystical Agriculture Compat 21.1.12. The pack's mod list says it was first included in All the Mons 0.3.0-beta or earlier.[2]
Mod releases
- 21.1.12: adds support for Mystical Agriculture Sculk Seeds. This is the version in the pack right now, so Sculk Seeds are covered.[2][3]
- 21.1.11: adds support for phantom seeds.[4]
Both of these releases extend the compat to more Mystical Agriculture seeds, and their changelogs list nothing else.[3][4]
Unverified The pack changelogs here have no entries for this mod, so the sources do not show what changed for it between individual All the Mons releases.
