Ars Énergistique is a mod in All the Mons 1.3.0, where it is version 2.1.1-beta. Bringing magic to the digital age. (Ars Nouveau x Applied Energistics 2) (Summary from the mod's Modrinth page.)

What is Ars Énergistique?

3 parts

Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide

Ars Énergistique is an add-on that links Applied Energistics 2 with Ars Nouveau. If you run ME networks and Ars magic setups side by side, this mod lets the two work together instead of living in separate corners of your base.[1]

The pack includes version 2.1.1-beta of the mod.[2]

What it adds

  • Dedicated ME Source storage, including cells, so your network can hold Source directly.[1]
  • Full compatibility between ME network devices and Source-based machines.[1]
  • The ME Source Acceptor, which converts Source into AE energy so you can power a network with it.[1]
  • Support for budding Certus Quartz blocks and clusters for the Amethyst Golem.[1]

Who it is for

This mod is for you if you already enjoy both AE2 storage and Ars Nouveau magic and want them to feed each other. The project page says more features are still to come.[1]

Where it fits in progression

Unverified The sources I was given do not place this mod anywhere in the pack's progression. They show no quests involving it and no spot on the ATM Star path, and there is no in-jar guidebook to check. Treat it as an optional integration rather than a required step.

How do you get started with Ars Énergistique?

4 parts

Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide

Ars Énergistique connects Applied Energistics 2 and Ars Nouveau, so your ME network and your Source magic can work together. In this pack the first things to build are the housing, the converter, the jar and then your first Source cells. Here they are in order.[1]

First: ME Source Cell Housing

Start with ME Source Cell Housing. Every Source storage cell and portable Source cell in the pack is crafted with one, so you need it before anything else. It is made at an enchanting apparatus, and the pack changed this recipe, so don't trust what you remember from the mod's defaults.[3]

Second: ME Source Converter

Next is ME Source Converter. It converts Source into AE energy, which lets your Source setup power an ME network. The mod's project page calls it the ME Source Acceptor, but in the pack it is named ME Source Converter. The pack also changed this enchanting apparatus recipe.[1][3]

There is also a cable version, ME Source Converter, which has the same name. You can swap between the two forms with a simple shapeless craft in either direction.[3]

Third: ME Source Jar

ME Source Jar is also made at an enchanting apparatus. Unlike the housing and the converter, the pack does not mark this recipe as changed.[3]

Fourth: Source storage cells

The mod adds dedicated ME Source storage, with cells in 1k, 4k, 16k, 64k and 256k tiers. Start with 1k ME Source Storage Cell. It is a shapeless craft from a housing plus the matching ME storage component.[1][3]

Crafting Shapeless

Recipe id: arseng:source_storage_cell_1k

The larger tiers follow the same pattern with the matching larger component. They are 4k ME Source Storage Cell, 16k ME Source Storage Cell, 64k ME Source Storage Cell and 256k ME Source Storage Cell.[3]

If you want to carry Source around, there are portable versions in the same tiers, starting with 1k Portable Source Cell. Their recipe adds an ME chest and an energy cell to the housing and component.[3]

Recipe id: arseng:portable_source_cell_1k

Tip: Make a few housings in one go. Every cell tier, portable or not, needs a fresh one, so you will keep coming back to that first recipe.[3]

How does Ars Énergistique work?

5 parts

Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide

Ars Énergistique is an add-on that links Applied Energistics 2 and Ars Nouveau, so your ME networks and your Source setups can work with each other. The mod's project page lists its main features as dedicated ME Source storage with its own cells, compatibility between ME network devices and Source-based machines, and a way to turn Source into AE energy.[1]

Powering a network with Source

The block that does the converting is the ME Source Converter. The project page calls this feature the ME Source Acceptor, and it describes it as converting Source into AE energy to power networks. In this pack the item shows up as ME Source Converter.[1][3]

The pack changed the recipe, so don't rely on what you remember from the mod's defaults. It's made at an Ars Nouveau enchanting apparatus.[3]

This is the pack-changed recipe for the block version, made at the enchanting apparatus.

There is also a second item, the ME Source Converter, which is also named ME Source Converter. You don't need a separate crafting chain for it. A shapeless recipe converts the block into the cable item, and another converts it back.[3]

Storing Source in your ME network

The mod adds its own Source storage to ME networks, along with cells for it. The cells are built around the ME Source Cell Housing, which the pack also changed. It's crafted at the enchanting apparatus, not in a normal crafting grid.[1][3]

The ME Source Storage Cells come in tiers of 1k, 4k, 16k, 64k and 256k. Each one is a shapeless crafting recipe that combines the housing with the matching AE2 ME Storage Component.[3]

The other tiers follow the same pattern with a larger storage component.

Portable Source Cells

The mod also has Portable Source Cells in the same tiers, from the 1k Portable Source Cell up to the 256k Portable Source Cell. These are shapeless recipes too, and they use the same housing plus a few extra AE2 parts compared with the plain storage cells.[3]

The 4k, 16k, 64k and 256k versions follow the same pattern.

The ME Source Jar

The ME Source Jar is crafted at the enchanting apparatus, built from an Ars Nouveau Source Jar and an AE2 interface.[3]

Other features

The project page also mentions support for budding Certus Quartz blocks and clusters for the Amethyst Golem.[1]

How do you progress through Ars Énergistique?

4 parts

Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide

Unverified No quests in this pack involve Ars Énergistique, and the mod is not on the ATM Star quest path, so the quest book will not guide you here. The order below follows the in-pack recipes instead.

Without quests, progression is a crafting chain. You start with the cell housing, then set up the Source infrastructure, then work up through the storage cell tiers.[3]

Stage 1: The cell housing

Everything storage-related starts with the ME Source Cell Housing. It is made at an Ars Nouveau enchanting apparatus, and the pack has changed this recipe from the mod's default, so use the recipe below and don't trust older guides.[3]

Stage 2: Getting Source into your network

The ME Source Converter is the ME Source Converter. It is also crafted at an enchanting apparatus, and the pack has changed this recipe too.[3]

The converter also exists as a cable part, ME Source Converter. You can switch between the block and the part with a simple shapeless craft in either direction, so you don't need to commit to one form.[3]

Stage 3: Cell tiers

Source storage cells come in tiers from 1k up to 256k, and each tier uses the matching size of AE2 storage component. Every tier is a shapeless craft that also needs the housing, so you can upgrade as your AE2 progression allows.[3]

The 4k, 16k and 64k cells follow the same pattern with the matching component size.

Recipe id: arseng:source_storage_cell_256k

The top tier uses the 256k storage component with the housing.

Portable cells

The portable versions use the same tiers, from 1k to 256k. They are also shapeless crafts, built on top of the matching storage component and the housing.[3]

Tip: Only the housing and the converter are marked as changed by the pack. The cell, portable cell and jar recipes are the mod's own, so the housing and converter are the parts to plan your gold and Source materials around.[3]

How does Ars Énergistique work with other mods?

4 parts

Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide

Ars Énergistique is the bridge between Applied Energistics 2 and Ars Nouveau. Its project page describes it as an add-on for deeper interaction between ME networks and Ars magic setups. In this pack you can see that in the recipes: nearly everything it adds is built from AE2 parts and crafted with Ars Nouveau's tools.[1][3]

Ars Nouveau crafting, AE2 parts

The mod's key blocks and housings are made in Ars Nouveau's enchanting apparatus, not in a normal crafting grid. The ME Source Jar combines Ars Nouveau's Source Jar and Manipulation Essence with an AE2 interface.[3]

The ME Source Converter is called the ME Source Converter in this pack. The project page describes it as the block that turns Source into AE energy to power your network. It is built from AE2's Energy Acceptor and an Ars Nouveau Source Gem Block. The pack changed this recipe, so don't rely on what you remember from the mod's defaults.[1][3]

Source cells

Everything starts with the ME Source Cell Housing. It is another enchanting apparatus recipe that the pack changed, and it takes AE2's ME Item Cell Housing plus Ars Nouveau's Source Gem and Manipulation Essence.[3]

Once you have a housing, a Source storage cell is a simple shapeless craft with an AE2 storage component of the matching size. The sizes are 1k, 4k, 16k, 64k and 256k. For example, the 1k ME Source Storage Cell uses the 1k ME Storage Component. Each cell also has a matching disassembly recipe of AE2's storage cell disassembly type.[3]

Crafting Shapeless

Recipe id: arseng:source_storage_cell_1k

Portable Source Cells follow the same size tiers, such as the 1k Portable Source Cell. Their recipes add AE2's ME Chest and Energy Cell to the storage component and the Source cell housing.[3]

Recipe id: arseng:portable_source_cell_1k

MEGA Cells

If you use MEGA Cells, the pack connects it to this mod as well. The MEGA Source Cell Housing is crafted in the enchanting apparatus from an ME Source Cell Housing, a Sky Steel Ingot, a Source Gem Block and Manipulation Essence. The pack changed this recipe too.[3]

Other features

The project page also lists support for budding Certus Quartz blocks and clusters for the Amethyst Golem. That comes from the mod's description. This guide has no in-pack recipe confirming it.[1]
