How does Mystical Agriculture Tiered Crystals work?

3 parts

Same as in the Project Infinity 0.1 0.0.51.4-hotfix-2 guide

This mod adds five crafting crystals to Mystical Agriculture, and that is all the sources describe. There is no machine, multiblock, power or fluid system to learn here, so the one mechanic that matters is the crafting chain.[1]

The crystal chain

On 1.16 and newer, the five crystals are Inferium, Prudentium, Tertium, Imperium and Supremium. The recipes are nested, so you can't jump to a higher crystal without crafting the previous tier first.[1]

In this pack, the order is Inferium Infusion Crystal, then Prudentium Infusion Crystal, then Tertium Infusion Crystal, then Imperium Infusion Crystal, and finally Supremium Infusion Crystal. Each of the five recipes is a shaped crafting recipe.[1][2]

Recipes, tier by tier

Every recipe in the chain also uses a Prosperity Shard from Mystical Agriculture. Here are the exact in-pack recipes, in order.[2]

The starting point of the chain: it is the only crystal here that does not need a lower crystal.

The top tier of the chain: it consumes the Imperium crystal.

Tip: Because each tier consumes the one below it, plan your crafting from the bottom up. Making a Supremium Infusion Crystal means you will have made every lower crystal along the way.[1][2]

Durability

The mod's project page says you can set the durability of each crystal, and you can also choose whether the crystals have durability at all.[1]

Unverified This pack has no config file for this mod in the sources here, so whether the crystals have durability in this pack, and what the durability values are, is unverified.

Which Mystical Agriculture Tiered Crystals config options matter?

2 parts

Same as in the Project Infinity 0.1 0.0.51.4-hotfix-2 guide

The config side of this mod is small. In this pack the file you can actually see is the client config, config/matc-client.toml, and it only controls what crystal tooltips show.[3]

Tooltip options

  • [[config:config/matc-client.toml#Upgrade Tooltips.upgradeTooltip]] is set to true in this pack. It decides whether crystals display upgrade tooltips.[3]
  • [[config:config/matc-client.toml#Uses Left Tooltips.usesTooltip]] is set to true in this pack. It decides whether crystals display 'Uses Left' on their tooltips.[3]

Both options are switched on, so your crystals show the full tooltip information. If you find the tooltips too busy, these are the two keys to turn off.[3]

Durability settings

The mod's project page says you can set the durability of each crystal, and that you can change whether the crystals have durability at all.[1]
