What is Schematic Energistics?
3 parts
Schematic Energistics links two mods you probably already love: Create's Schematicannon and the AE2 network. Instead of keeping chests full of building materials next to your cannon, you let your AE2 storage supply it.[1]
The pack includes version 1.3.2 of the mod, and it has been in the pack since 1.0.0 or earlier.[2]
What it does
The star of the mod is the Cannon Interface. Place it next to a Schematicannon and connect it to your AE2 network. The cannon can then pull the items it needs out of AE2 storage, and it can autocraft schematic items when they are missing.[1][3]
It also handles gunpowder. The interface exports gunpowder from the network to the cannon, so you don't have to keep refilling it by hand. Right click the interface to open its GUI, where you can control the crafting and export of items and gunpowder and check the status of the connected cannon.[1][3]
If you run several cannons, the Cannon Interface Terminal lets you manage them from one place. Connect it to your AE2 network and right click it to see every connected Cannon Interface and its status. Click one to open its GUI.[4]
Who it is for
This is for players who already have an AE2 network running and want to build big Create schematics without hauling materials around. If you only use the Schematicannon with a few chests, you won't need it.[1][3]
Things to know
- A Schematicannon only detects one Cannon Interface at a time, so don't plan on attaching several to the same cannon.[1][3]
- The cannon always uses other inventories, such as chests and barrels, before it asks the AE2 network for items. Empty those containers if you want the network to supply everything.[1][3]
Unverified The sources I have don't show where this mod fits in the pack's progression, and they don't confirm any quests that involve it. Check in-game before you plan around either.
How do you get started with Schematic Energistics?
5 parts
This mod does one job: it lets Create's Schematic Cannon pull what it needs from your AE2 network. The mod adds a single block for that, the Cannon Interface, plus a terminal to manage it. So the order is simple: set up a Schematic Cannon and an AE2 network, then add the interface.[1][3]
Step 1: Craft the Cannon Interface
This is the item the whole mod is built around. It lets the cannon take items from AE2 storage and ask the network to autocraft what's missing. Here is the recipe as it appears in this pack:[3][5]
Crafting Shaped

Step 2: Place it and connect it
- Place the Cannon Interface next to your Schematic Cannon.[3]
- Connect the interface to your AE2 network.[3]
- Right click the interface to open its GUI. From there you can control the crafting and export of items and gunpowder, and see the status of the connected cannon.[3]
Only one Cannon Interface can be connected to a Schematic Cannon at a time, so don't put a second one beside the same cannon.[1][3]
What the interface does for you
- It exports gunpowder from the AE2 network to the cannon, as long as the interface is connected to the network.[3]
- You can toggle autocrafting for individual items. With it off, the cannon still requests the item but won't try to craft it when it's missing.[5]
- Gunpowder has its own switches. You can stop the cannon from requesting it, or let it request gunpowder while blocking its crafting. Stopping the requests also stops the gunpowder crafting.[5]
- The GUI also has controls to start or resume, pause and stop the Schematic Cannon.[5]
Step 3: Add the Cannon Interface Terminal (optional)
Once you have more than one cannon, the Cannon Interface Terminal saves you a lot of walking. Connect it to your AE2 network and right click it to see every connected Cannon Interface and its status. Click one to open its GUI.[4]

How does Schematic Energistics work?
5 parts
This mod is small and focused. It does one job: it links Create's Schematic Cannon to your AE2 network so the cannon can pull building materials from your storage and ask for autocrafting. Everything below is how that link works, as far as the sources explain it.[1][3]
Connecting a cannon to your network
Place the Cannon Interface next to a Schematic Cannon and connect it to an AE2 network. Once it's linked, the cannon can access items from the network.[1][3][5]
Only one Cannon Interface can be connected to a given Schematic Cannon at a time, so you don't need a second one on the same cannon.[1][3]
Where the cannon gets its items
The cannon always checks other inventories first. Chests, barrels and similar containers are used before it touches the AE2 network. If you want the cannon to draw from AE2, make sure those nearby containers don't hold the items you need.[1][3]
The interface can also export gunpowder from the AE2 network into the cannon, as long as it's connected to the network. That keeps the cannon fueled without you refilling it by hand.[1][3]
Controlling it from the GUI
Right click the Cannon Interface to open its GUI. From there you control the crafting and export of items and gunpowder, and you can see the status of the connected cannon.[3]
- Per-item autocrafting: you can enable or disable auto crafting for an item. When it's on, the cannon tries to craft items that aren't available in the system.[5]
- Disabling autocraft for an item does not stop the cannon from requesting it. It only stops the system from trying to craft it when it's missing.[5]
- Gunpowder requests: you can turn the cannon's gunpowder requests on or off. Turning them off also stops the cannon from crafting gunpowder.[5]
- Gunpowder crafting: this is toggled separately. When it's on, the cannon can automatically craft gunpowder if it isn't available in the system.[5]
- Run controls: there are buttons to start or resume, pause, and stop the Schematic Cannon.[5]
Managing several cannons
The Cannon Interface Terminal lets you control your Cannon Interfaces over the network. Connect it to your AE2 network and right click it to see all connected Cannon Interfaces and their status. Click one to open its GUI.[4]

Unverified The sources don't say whether the Cannon Interface uses AE2 channels or power, where the part form can be placed, or whether this pack changes any of the mod's behavior. No config files for this mod are available either, so check in-game before you build around any of that.
How do you progress through Schematic Energistics?
4 parts
Schematic Energistics doesn't have a long tier ladder. In this pack it centres on two items that build on each other: the Cannon Interface and the Cannon Interface Terminal. You craft the interface first, then the terminal, which needs the interface as an ingredient.[3][4][6]
Step 1: Cannon Interface
The Cannon Interface links Create's Schematic Cannon to your AE2 storage so the cannon can pull items from your network and autocraft. Place it next to a Schematic Cannon and connect it to your AE2 network. Only one Cannon Interface can be connected to a given Schematic Cannon at a time.[3]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: schematicenergistics:cannon_interface
This is the pack's recipe for the base interface.
Right-click the interface to open its GUI. There you can control the craft and export of items and gunpowder, and see the status of the connected cannon. If the interface is on the network, it also exports gunpowder from AE2 to the cannon.[3]
Block and part forms
The interface has two item forms: Cannon Interface and Cannon Interface Panel. You can switch between them with a single-item shapeless craft in each direction.[3][6]

This craft turns the interface into its part form.

Step 2: Cannon Interface Terminal
The Cannon Interface Terminal lets you control your Cannon Interfaces over the network from one place. Connect it to your AE2 network and right-click it to see every connected Cannon Interface and its status. Click an interface in the list to open that interface's GUI.[4]

Quests
Unverified The sources here show no quest involving this mod, so the pack's quest book gives no guided path for it that we can confirm. The crafting order above comes from the in-pack recipes alone.
How does Schematic Energistics work with other mods?
3 parts
Same as in the FTB StoneBlock 4 1.21.0 guide
Schematic Energistics is a bridge mod. It links Create's Schematic Cannon to your AE2 network, so the cannon can pull building materials from your ME storage and ask your autocrafting to make what's missing.[1][7]
Create and AE2 through the Cannon Interface
The Cannon Interface is the block that does the connecting. Place it next to a Schematic Cannon and connect it to an AE2 network, and the cannon can access items from that network.[1][7]
The recipe uses parts from both sides: the AE2 ME Interface and several Create items. That makes it a good early checkpoint, because you need both Create and AE2 progress to build one.[8]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: schematicenergistics:cannon_interface
How the cannon uses your network
- The cannon always prioritizes items from other inventories, such as chests and barrels, before it asks the AE2 network. Those containers get emptied first.[1][7]
- Only one Cannon Interface can be connected to a Schematic Cannon at a time.[1][7]
- If the interface is connected to the network, it also exports gunpowder from AE2 to the cannon.[7]
- Right-click the interface to open its GUI. There you can control the crafting and export of items and gunpowder, and see the status of the connected cannon.[7]
Managing several cannons from one place
If you run more than one cannon, the Cannon Interface Terminal saves you walking around. Connect it to your AE2 network and right-click it to see all connected Cannon Interfaces and their status. Click one to open its GUI.[4]
Crafting it also needs an AE2 part, the Engineering Processor. It also needs a Cannon Interface and any illuminated panel.[8]

What changed in Schematic Energistics between versions?
1 part
FTB StoneBlock 4 1.8.1 ships Schematic Energistics 1.3.2. The mod has been in the pack since 1.0.0 or earlier, so you've had it for the whole run of the pack.[2]
Mod releases
Here are the notable changes from the mod's own changelogs, newest first.[9][10][11]
- 1.3.2 (the version in this pack): internal code changes to avoid conflicts between mods.[2][9]
- 1.3.1: the mod's packages location was changed to prevent crashes with other mods. It also fixed autocrafting tooltips showing the gunpowder message in the Cannon Interface menu.[10]
- 1.3.0: added a GUI to the Cannon Interface block and part. In it you can enable and disable item crafting, as well as the export and craft of gunpowder, and you can play, pause and stop your cannon straight from the GUI.[11]
- 1.3.0: added the Cannon Interface Terminal, which lets you access your Cannon Interfaces remotely.[11]
Unverified No pack changelog entries for this mod were available, so any changes StoneBlock 4 itself made to Schematic Energistics across pack releases are unverified.
