What is Schematic Energistics?
1 part
Schematic Energistics connects Create's Schematicannon to your AE2 network. Instead of stocking the cannon by hand, you let your AE2 storage and autocrafting feed it. This pack includes version 1.5.4 of the mod.[1][2]
It's for you if you already build with Create schematics and run an AE2 network, and you're tired of gathering every block for a big build yourself.[1][3]
What it adds
The core block is the Cannon Interface. Place it next to a Schematicannon and connect it to your AE2 network. The cannon can then pull the items it needs from network storage.[1][3]
- It automatically extracts the required items from AE2 storage.[1]
- It can autocraft schematic items when they're needed.[1]
- It exports gunpowder from the network to the cannon, so you don't have to refill it yourself.[1][3]
- Right-click the interface to open its GUI. There you can control the crafting and export of items and gunpowder, and see the status of the connected cannon.[3]
If you run several cannons, the Cannon Interface Terminal helps. Connect it to your AE2 network and it lists every connected Cannon Interface with its status. Click one to open its GUI.[4]
Unverified The sources don't say where this mod fits in the pack's progression, so there is no confirmed placement or recommended stage for it.
How do you get started with Schematic Energistics?
5 parts
This mod does one job: it links Create's Schematic Cannon to your AE2 network. The cannon can pull the items a schematic needs straight from your storage, autocraft what's missing, and get its gunpowder refilled automatically. Everything starts with one block, the Cannon Interface.[1][3]
Craft the Cannon Interface
This is the first thing to make, because it's what lets the cannon talk to AE2 at all. Here's the in-pack recipe:[3][5]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: schematicenergistics:cannon_interface
Hook it up
- Place the Cannon Interface next to your Schematic Cannon.[3]
- Connect the Cannon Interface to your AE2 network. The cannon can then access the network's items.[3]
- Right click the interface to open its GUI. From there you can control the crafting and export of items and gunpowder, and see the status of the connected cannon.[3]
Only one Cannon Interface can be connected to a given Schematic Cannon, so don't bother stacking several on the same cannon.[1][3]
Learn the GUI toggles
The GUI has buttons to start or resume, pause and stop the cannon. It also has separate toggles for auto-crafting items, for letting the cannon request gunpowder, and for auto-crafting gunpowder. Allowing gunpowder requests does not turn on gunpowder crafting. You have to enable that one separately.[6]
There is also a bulk crafting option. It crafts items in advance, uses more CPU and may produce excess items. With it off, items are crafted only as needed.[6]
Optional: the Cannon Interface Terminal
Once you have several cannons, the Cannon Interface Terminal saves you walking around. Connect it to your AE2 network and right click it to see every connected Cannon Interface and its status. Click one to open its GUI.[4]

How does Schematic Energistics work?
6 parts
Schematic Energistics is a small mod with one job: it links Create's Schematic Cannon to your AE2 network. The Cannon Interface is the block that does it. It lets the cannon pull the items a schematic needs from your ME storage, and it can autocraft missing items too.[1][3]
Setting up a Cannon Interface
- Place the Cannon Interface next to your Schematic Cannon.[1][3]
- Connect the Cannon Interface to your AE2 network.[1][3]
- Right click the interface to open its GUI. From there you can control crafting and export of items and gunpowder, and see the status of the connected cannon.[3]

Where the cannon gets its items
The cannon always prioritizes other inventories first, such as chests and barrels, and only then requests items from the AE2 network.[1][3]
Gunpowder is handled separately. If the interface is connected to the network, it exports gunpowder from AE2 to the cannon.[3]
Controlling the cannon from the GUI
The interface GUI has buttons to start or resume the cannon, pause it, and stop it. Beyond that, a set of toggles decides how much the interface is allowed to craft for you.[6]
- Per-item auto-crafting: when enabled, the cannon tries to auto-craft an item if the system doesn't have enough. When disabled, the cannon still requests the item but won't try to craft it if your inventory falls short.[6]
- Gunpowder requests: you can allow or prohibit the cannon from requesting gunpowder. Prohibiting it also stops auto-crafting of gunpowder.[6]
- Gunpowder auto-crafting: this is a separate toggle. Allowing gunpowder requests doesn't turn it on, so enable it yourself if you want the cannon to craft gunpowder when the system runs short.[6]
- Bulk crafting: when enabled, items are crafted in advance. When disabled, items are crafted only as needed.[6]
About bulk crafting
With bulk crafting on, the interface tries to craft the needed items before the cannon begins building. That uses more CPU and may produce excess items.[3][6]
Managing several cannons with the terminal
If you run more than one cannon, the Cannon Interface Terminal saves you from walking to each one. Connect it to your AE2 network and right click it to see every connected Cannon Interface and its status. Click an entry to open that interface's GUI.[4]

How do you progress through Schematic Energistics?
3 parts
Unverified The sources here do not show any quest for this mod, so how the pack's quest book would place it is unverified. The order below follows the in-pack recipes and what each item does.
This addon doesn't have a long tier ladder. Progression is two steps: first you get the Cannon Interface to link a Create Schematic Cannon to your AE2 network. Then you can add the Cannon Interface Terminal to manage every interface from one place.[3][4][5]
Stage one: Cannon Interface
The Cannon Interface lets a Schematic Cannon from Create connect to AE2 storage and autocraft. Its recipe uses both AE2 and Create parts, so you need a bit of progress in both before you can make it.[3][5]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: schematicenergistics:cannon_interface
Place it next to a Schematic Cannon and connect it to your AE2 network. The cannon can then pull items from the network. Only one Cannon Interface can be connected to a given Schematic Cannon.[3]
Keep in mind that the cannon always uses items from other inventories, like chests and barrels, before it touches the AE2 network. If the interface is connected to the network, it also exports gunpowder to the cannon. Right click it to open its GUI, where you can control crafting and the export of items and gunpowder, and see the status of the connected cannon.[3]
Block and panel forms
The Cannon Interface also exists as a Cannon Interface Panel. You can switch between the two forms with these simple one-item recipes.[3][5]
Crafting Shapeless
Recipe id: schematicenergistics:cannon_interface_to_part
Block to panel: a single Cannon Interface becomes a Cannon Interface Panel.

Recipe id: schematicenergistics:part_to_cannon_interface
Panel back to block: a single Cannon Interface Panel becomes a Cannon Interface again.
Stage two: Cannon Interface Terminal
Once you have one or more interfaces running, the Cannon Interface Terminal lets you control them over the network. It builds on the Cannon Interface itself, so you need that first.[4][5]

How does Schematic Energistics work with other mods?
3 parts
Schematic Energistics is a bridge mod. It links Create's Schematic Cannon to your AE2 network, so the cannon can pull building materials from your ME storage and ask your autocrafting to make what's missing.[1][3]
Create and AE2 through the Cannon Interface
The Cannon Interface is the block that does the connecting. Place it next to a Schematic Cannon and connect it to an AE2 network, and the cannon can access items from that network.[1][3]
The recipe uses parts from both sides: the AE2 ME Interface and several Create items. That makes it a good early checkpoint, because you need both Create and AE2 progress to build one.[5]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: schematicenergistics:cannon_interface
How the cannon uses your network
- The cannon always prioritizes items from other inventories, such as chests and barrels, before it asks the AE2 network. Those containers get emptied first.[1][3]
- Only one Cannon Interface can be connected to a Schematic Cannon at a time.[1][3]
- If the interface is connected to the network, it also exports gunpowder from AE2 to the cannon.[3]
- Right-click the interface to open its GUI. There you can control the crafting and export of items and gunpowder, and see the status of the connected cannon.[3]
Managing several cannons from one place
If you run more than one cannon, the Cannon Interface Terminal saves you walking around. Connect it to your AE2 network and right-click it to see all connected Cannon Interfaces and their status. Click one to open its GUI.[4]
Crafting it also needs an AE2 part, the Engineering Processor. It also needs a Cannon Interface and any illuminated panel.[5]

What changed in Schematic Energistics between versions?
1 part
StoneBlock 4 1.21.0 ships Schematic Energistics 1.5.4 (the file is schematicenergistics-1.21.1-1.5.4a.jar). The mod was already in the pack by 1.0.0 or earlier. There are no pack changelog entries for it, so everything below comes from the mod's own changelogs.[2]
Notable changes, oldest to newest
- 1.3.0: Adds a GUI to the Cannon Interface block and part. You can enable or disable item crafting and the export and craft of gunpowder, and play, pause or stop your cannon from that screen. It also adds the Cannon Interface Terminal, which lets you reach your Cannon Interfaces remotely.[7]
- 1.3.1: Moves the mod's packages to a new location to prevent crashes with other mods, and fixes autocrafting tooltips showing the gunpowder message in the Cannon Interface menu.[8]
- 1.3.2: Internal code changes to avoid conflicts between mods.[9]
- 1.5.0: Adds a Material List screen to the Cannon Interface, so you can see available and required items without opening the Schematicannon. It also adds Schematicannon compatibility, so books and clipboards can account for items stored in your AE2 network.[10]
- 1.5.2: Fixes the scrollbar position in the materials list.[11]
- Around 1.5.2 and 1.5.3: Fixes some AE2 autocrafting jobs not being tracked by the Cannon Interface during a bulk craft. This entry comes from the file labelled 1.5.3, though its heading reads 1.5.2.[12]
- 1.5.4a: Downgrades the required NeoForge version to 21.1.235. This is the build the pack uses.[2][13]
