FTB Pack Companion in FTB StoneBlock 4

Same as in the FTB Skies 2 1.23.0 guide

This pack ships with FTB Pack Companion version 21.1.22, using the file ftb-pack-companion-21.1.22.jar. It has been part of the pack since version 1.0.1 or earlier, so it isn't a recent addition.^[1]

Unverified What FTB Pack Companion actually does in this pack could not be confirmed. No description or in-jar guidebook was available for this mod, so this page doesn't guess at its features.

Same as in the FTB StoneBlock 4 1.21.0 guide

FTB Pack Companion doesn't give you a crafting chain to follow in this pack. What the sources do show is a shaders notice, so that's the first thing to know about.^[2]

The shaders prompt

This pack includes shaders, but they are disabled by default. The notice asks whether you'd like to enable them, and it warns that shaders can be performance-intensive, can cause issues with certain mods, and may not be compatible with your hardware.^[2]

If you want the vibrant look, you can enable shaders from that notice. If you run into any issues, you can always disable them again later in the video settings.^[2]

Items from this mod

The mod's language file names the Action Pad and the Structure Placer, plus a block called Player Trigger.^[2]

The sources for FTB Pack Companion don't show any machines, multiblocks, power, fluid or item automation for it, so this section is short and covers only what the mod's own files confirm.^[2][3]

What the mod adds

• A block called Player Trigger.^[2]
• An item called Action Pad.^[2]
• An item called Structure Placer.^[2]

Shaders notice

The mod provides a notice about shaders. It says shaders are included in the pack but disabled by default, and asks whether you want to enable them. It also warns that shaders can be performance-intensive, can cause issues with certain mods, and may not be compatible with your hardware.^[2]

If you do turn them on and hit problems, the mod's text says you can disable them again later in the video settings.^[2]

Menu conditions

The mod also adds FancyMenu conditions based on your local time. One checks whether your current hour is greater than a value you set, and another checks whether it is less than that value. The value must be a number between 0 and 23, in 24-hour format.^[2]

Random loot function

The mod's jar includes an example chest loot table that uses a custom loot function, ftbpc:random_loot_item_function, with a name set key of "example". The example has a pool with 10 rolls and 4 bonus rolls, and its only entry is stone. It is labelled as an example, and the sources don't show whether this pack uses it.^[3]

There is no tier ladder to climb with this mod, so this section is short. The only material available is a data file shipped inside the mod's own jar: an example chest loot table named example_random_source_loot_table.^[3]

That table is a standard chest loot table with a single pool of 10 rolls and 4 bonus rolls. Its only entry is stone, and it runs the mod's random loot item function with the name set key "example". Going by its name and contents, it is a sample for pack makers rather than a progression step. What the function does beyond that name is not described in the file.^[3]

Unverified No quests or recipes involving this mod were found in the sources for this pack, so no progression path or tier breakdown can be described here.
