What is Weather Gate?
Same as in the FTB Skies 2 1.23.0 guide
Weather Gate is part of this pack in version 2.0.0, shipped as the file weathergate-neo-2.0.0+mc1.21.1.jar. It has been in the pack since version 1.0.1 or earlier, so it is a long-standing part of the mod list rather than a recent addition.[1]
Unverified What Weather Gate does in this pack, including its items, recipes and settings, could not be confirmed from the sources available for this guide, so this overview does not describe its mechanics.
How do you get started with Weather Gate?
3 parts
Same as in the FTB Skies 2 1.22.0 guide
Weather Gate is a small mod in this pack. Its items are made with ordinary shaped crafting recipes, and the recipe blocks below show the exact in-pack versions. Here is the order I'd make them in.[2]
Start with Sun In A Box
Begin with Sun In A Box. It is the one item here whose effect the sources confirm: its tooltip says it makes the Sun Light value always noon, and it is marked Client Only.[3]

Next, the Snow Catcher
After that, craft the Snow Catcher. It also has a shaped crafting recipe in this pack.[2]

Finally, the Teriann Controller
Last is the Teriann Controller, which the pack's recipe list calls the Teriann Controller. Its recipe is shaped crafting too.[2]

How does Weather Gate work?
2 parts
Same as in the FTB Skies 2 1.22.0 guide
Weather Gate is a small mod in this pack, and the sources I have only explain a little of how it works. I can't confirm any machines, multiblocks, power use, fluid handling or automation for it, so I'm leaving those out rather than guessing.[2][3]
Sun In A Box
The Sun In A Box is the one item whose behavior is documented. Its tooltip says it makes the Sun Light value always noon, and that this is client only. In practice that means it changes what you see on your own client, not the world itself.[3]

Snow Catcher and Teriann Controller
The pack also has recipes for the Snow Catcher and the Teriann Controller. Both are ordinary shaped crafting recipes, shown below.[2]

Unverified The sources don't say what the Snow Catcher or the Teriann Controller actually do once crafted, how you use them, or whether they need power, fluids or any setup. The pack has no config files for this mod, so there are no pack-specific settings to point you to.
How do you progress through Weather Gate?
2 parts
Same as in the FTB Skies 2 1.22.0 guide
Weather Gate doesn't have a tier ladder in this pack. The recipe data shows only separate items: Snow Catcher, Sun In A Box and Teriann Controller. Each one is a shaped crafting recipe, and none of them uses another Weather Gate item as an ingredient. So you can make any of them in whatever order you like.[2]
The crafts
Here are the exact in-pack recipes. The Snow Catcher comes first.[2]

Last is the Teriann Controller. Its recipe id is spelled "teriann_controller", but the item id is spelled "terrain_controller". Keep that in mind if you search for it.[2]

What this means for your run
All of these recipes are listed as mod recipes, and their ingredients are plain Minecraft items and tags, so you can start on any of them as soon as you have the materials.[2]
Unverified The sources here show no quests involving Weather Gate, so the pack's quest book gives no guided progression for it.
