What is Simple Teleporters?
2 parts
Same as in the FTB Skies 2 1.22.0 guide
Simple Teleporters adds easy-to-use teleportation to the pack. This pack ships version 2.2.0 of the mod, and it gives you two ways to get around: a linked network of Teleporter blocks, and a personal home teleport.[1][2]
Teleporter network
The Teleporter is a block for instant travel between linked locations. You bind an Ender Shard to a spot by sneaking and right-clicking a block, then insert the shard into a Teleporter. Stand on the active pad and sneak to travel. You can dye Teleporters in any of the 16 vanilla colors to keep your network organized, and a redstone pulse sends every entity on the pad to the destination, which is handy for automation.[3][4]
A basic Ender Shard only works within one dimension. To go across dimensions, upgrade it to an Enhanced Ender Shard at a Smithing Table using an Echo Shard, and the linked position is kept. Echo Shards are found in Ancient Cities in the Deep Dark.[3][5]
Personal teleport
The Hearth Crystal saves a home location to you, not to the item. Sneak and right-click a block with it in your main hand to set the spot. After that, any Hearth Crystal can take you home after a 3-second countdown, even from the Nether or End.[6]
A crystal has 20 charges and each teleport uses one. You restore all 20 by crafting the depleted crystal with an Ender Pearl.[6]
Unverified Where this mod fits in the pack's progression is unverified. The provided information shows no quests involving it and no place for it on the ATM Star path.
How do you get started with Simple Teleporters?
5 parts
Simple Teleporters gives you a network of Teleporter blocks linked by shards, and a personal home teleport with the Hearth Crystal. Everything starts with one item, the Ender Shard, so that's where we begin.[7][8][9][10]
Step 1: Make an Ender Shard
The Ender Shard is the key component for linking Teleporters together. In this pack it's made by smelting, and the recipe is right here.[7][11]
A smelting recipe, not a crafting grid.
To link a shard, hold it, then sneak and right-click a block. It remembers the exact coordinates and dimension. Unlinked shards stack up to 16, so keep a few spares for new destinations. To change where a shard points, just sneak and right-click a new spot.[7]
Step 2: Craft a Teleporter
The Teleporter block is the pad you actually stand on. The pack changed this recipe from the mod's own, so follow the block below.[10][11]

Step 3: Set up your first link
- Place a Teleporter at your destination.[10]
- Hold a shard, sneak and right-click that Teleporter. Clicking a Teleporter binds the shard to the block above it, so you land on top.[7][10]
- Place another Teleporter at your starting spot.[10]
- Right-click the starting Teleporter with the linked shard to insert it.[10]
- Stand on the active Teleporter (it shows portal particles) and sneak to teleport.[10]
Step 4: Get a Hearth Crystal
The Hearth Crystal saves a home location to you, not to the item. Its recipe is another smelting recipe.[8][11]
Hold it in your main hand, then sneak and right-click a block to set your hearth. After that, right-click to start a 3-second countdown and keep holding the crystal until it finishes. Switching items or dropping the crystal cancels the teleport. It works across dimensions.[8]
A crystal has 20 charges and each teleport uses one. When it runs dry, recharge it with this recipe, which restores all 20.[8][11]
Later: go cross-dimensional
A normal shard only teleports within the same dimension. The Enhanced Ender Shard works between dimensions, and the link is kept when you upgrade a shard, whether it was linked or not. Echo Shards come from Ancient Cities in the Deep Dark.[7][12]
The pack changed this smithing recipe, and it also uses an item from Irregular Implements. Go by the recipe below rather than the in-game guide text.[11][12]

How does Simple Teleporters work?
6 parts
Simple Teleporters has two separate systems. The first is a network of Teleporter blocks linked by Ender Shard items. The second is a personal home teleport built on the Hearth Crystal. Here is how each one works in this pack.[7][8][9]
Linking with Ender Shards
The Ender Shard is the key part of the teleporter network. It remembers a location, and the Teleporter reads that location when you insert the shard.[7][10]
- Hold the Ender Shard in your hand.[7]
- Sneak and right-click a block to bind the shard to that location.[7]
- The shard stores the exact coordinates and the dimension. To change its destination, sneak and right-click somewhere new.[7]
Where the shard ends up depends on what you click. Clicking a non-solid block binds that exact position. Clicking a Teleporter binds one block above it, so you land on top of the pad. Clicking any other block binds the face you clicked.[7]
An unlinked shard shows "Unlinked" in red in its tooltip. A linked shard shows its X, Y, Z coordinates and dimension. Unlinked shards stack up to 16, but linked shards with different coordinates will not stack.[7]
The in-pack recipe for the Ender Shard.
Setting up a Teleporter pair
- Place a Teleporter at your destination.[10]
- Bind an Ender Shard to the spot above that destination Teleporter by sneaking and right-clicking it.[7][10]
- Place another Teleporter at your starting location.[10]
- Right-click the starting Teleporter with the linked shard to insert it.[10]
To travel, stand on an active Teleporter (one showing portal particles) and sneak. Particles only show while a linked shard is inside. Right-clicking a Teleporter ejects the shard, so you can reconfigure your network whenever you like.[10]
For two-way travel, set up two Teleporters with shards pointing at each other. If the destination is blocked, you get an error message. A brief cooldown stops you from instantly teleporting again.[10]

The pack changed this recipe from the mod's own version, so follow this one.
Redstone and automation
A Teleporter can also be triggered by redstone. When it receives a pulse, it sends every entity standing on it to the linked destination, including players, mobs, animals and items.[10]
It only fires on the rising edge of a signal, when it goes from unpowered to powered. A sustained signal will not cause continuous teleporting.[10]
The in-game guide suggests a few uses for this:[10]
- Mob farms that move mobs to a collection area.[10]
- Timed player transport using redstone clocks.[10]
- Pressure plate triggers for hands-free teleporting.[10]
- Button-activated teleport stations.[10]
Dyeing and placement
Right-click a Teleporter with any dye to recolor its quartz base and platform. All 16 vanilla colors work, and the default is white. It is cosmetic only, but handy for color-coding a network. Teleporters can also be waterlogged, so you can place them underwater.[10]
Enhanced Ender Shards and other dimensions
A normal Ender Shard only teleports within one dimension. The Enhanced Ender Shard can teleport between dimensions, for example linking to a spot in the Nether and teleporting there from the Overworld. It still works for same-dimension trips, and it works with sneaking, redstone and entity teleportation like a regular shard.[7][10][12]
You upgrade a shard at a Smithing Table, and the link and custom name are kept. That means you can link first and upgrade later, or upgrade first and link the Enhanced version afterwards.[12]

The Hearth Crystal
The Hearth Crystal is a personal teleport. Unlike an Ender Shard, the destination is saved to you, not to the item. That means any Hearth Crystal takes you to your own hearth, and each player has their own location.[8]
- Hold a Hearth Crystal in your main hand, then sneak and right-click a block to set your hearth location.[8]
- To go home, hold any Hearth Crystal in your main hand and right-click. This starts a 3-second countdown.[8]
- Keep holding the crystal until the teleport completes.[8]
Switching items or dropping the crystal during the countdown cancels the teleport, and you cannot start a second teleport while one is pending. It works across dimensions, so you can go home from the Nether or the End.[8]
The crystal has 20 charges, and each teleport uses 1. The durability bar shows what is left: green when full, yellow when low and red when nearly empty. Once it is empty, it cannot teleport until you recharge it by crafting it with an Ender Pearl, which restores all 20 charges.[8]

How do you progress through Simple Teleporters?
4 parts
Simple Teleporters has a short, clean progression, and it all hangs off one item: the Ender Shard. Everything else is built from it or upgraded from it. The pack's recipes for the mod are shown below in the order you'll want to make things.[9][11]
Tier 1: Ender Shard
You start by smelting an ender pearl into an Ender Shard. This is the mod's link item: hold it, sneak and right-click a block, and it remembers the exact coordinates and dimension.[7][11]
A furnace recipe, so no crafting grid needed.
Unlinked shards stack up to 16, and linked shards with different coordinates won't stack. A regular shard only teleports within the same dimension.[7]
Tier 2: The Teleporter block
The Teleporter is the pad you stand on. The pack changed this recipe from the mod's default, so use the one below rather than anything you remember from other packs. It needs an Ender Shard, which is why this comes second.[11]
Crafting Shaped

To set up a pair, place a Teleporter at your destination and bind a shard to the spot above it. Then place a second Teleporter where you start and right-click it with the linked shard to insert it. Once it shows portal particles, stand on it and sneak to go.[10]
- For travel both ways, set up two Teleporters with shards pointing at each other.[10]
- Right-clicking a Teleporter ejects its shard, so you can rewire your network later.[10]
- A redstone pulse teleports every entity on the pad, which opens up automation.[10]
- Dye your Teleporters with any of the 16 vanilla colors to color-code destinations.[10]
Side branch: Hearth Crystal
If you only want a way home, the Hearth Crystal skips the pad entirely. You smelt it from an Ender Shard.[8][11]
Sneak and right-click a block with it in your main hand to save your personal home. The location is saved to you, not the item. Then right-click to start a 3-second countdown, and keep holding the crystal until it finishes. It works across dimensions.[8]
A crystal has 20 charges, and each teleport uses 1. When it runs dry, recharge it with the recipe below.[8]
Restores all 20 charges.
Tier 3: Enhanced Ender Shard
The Enhanced Ender Shard is the endgame upgrade. It lets a shard teleport between dimensions, so you can link a spot in the Nether and travel there from the Overworld. It also still works for same-dimension trips.[12]
The in-game guide describes this as a smithing upgrade using an Echo Shard, but the pack changed the recipe. Check the one below, which also pulls in an item from Irregular Implements.[11][12]

How does Simple Teleporters work with other mods?
1 part
Simple Teleporters has one confirmed link to another mod in this pack, and it sits in the upgrade from the Ender Shard to the Enhanced Ender Shard. That upgrade is what unlocks cross-dimensional teleporting.[11][12]
A changed upgrade recipe
The mod's own in-game guide says you upgrade an Ender Shard at a Smithing Table with an Echo Shard. This pack changed that smithing recipe, so don't rely on the guide text alone. The pack's version also needs the Stable Ender Pearl, an item from Irregular Implements. That makes the Enhanced Ender Shard the point where the two mods meet.[11][12]
Smithing Transform
Recipe id: simpleteleporters:enhanced_ender_shard_smithing
This is the exact in-pack recipe. It differs from the Echo Shard upgrade the mod's in-game guide describes.
The rest of the upgrade works as the mod describes. You can link the shard before or after upgrading, because the linked position and custom name are kept through the smithing step.[12]
