What is Mystical Automation?

2 parts

Same as in the All the Mods 11 0.10.0-beta guide

Mystical Automation is an add-on for Mystical Agriculture. It gives you machines that automate the fiddly parts of that mod, so you can stop doing everything by hand.[1]

This pack includes version 2.0.7 of the mod.[2]

What it adds

  • Infuser: automatically infuses Essences using Infusion Crystals.[1]
  • Crafter: automatically crafts regular crafting recipes.[1]
  • Farmer: automatically grows and harvests crops in a single block.[1]
  • Fertilizer: automatically applies fertilizers like Fertilized Essence or Bone Meal to a field of crops.[1]
  • Infusion and Awakening Altarnators: automatically craft Infusion or Awakening Altar recipes with a single block.[1]
  • Enchanternator: automatically applies enchantments to items.[1]

Quest book placement

Unverified The sources here do not show where the pack's quest book places this mod: no chapter, group or neighbouring quests, and whether the ATM Star path uses it. Check the pack's quest book in game for that.

How do you get started with Mystical Automation?

7 parts

Same as in the FTB Skies 2: Aero 1.10.0 guide

Mystical Automation adds machines that automate different parts of Mystical Agriculture. In this pack every machine is switched on in the config, including the Machines.Farmer.enabled and Machines.Infuser.enabled options, so you can build any of them.[1][3]

Each machine runs off solid fuels, has an internal power storage buffer, and can be upgraded with Machine Upgrades.[4]

Watch out: The pack has changed the crafting recipes of the Farmer, Fertilizer, Infuser, Crafter and both Altarnators. Don't rely on what you remember from the mod's defaults. Use the recipe blocks below, which show the exact in-pack recipes.[5]

Suggested order

The sources give no fixed progression for this mod, so treat this order as a suggestion for how the machines build on each other, starting with the crops themselves.[1][4]

First: the Farmer

Start with the Farmer. It completely automates planting, growing and harvesting crops, and it does this in a single block. That takes the most repetitive job in Mystical Agriculture off your hands.[1][4]

This is the in-pack recipe, which the pack changed from the mod's default.

The pack leaves Machines.Farmer.dynamicMysticalAgricultureRecipes on, which means recipes are generated dynamically for all Mystical Agriculture crops.[3]

Next: the Fertilizer

Next, the Fertilizer fertilizes a field of plants for you. It uses fertilizers such as Bonemeal, Fertilized Essence or Mystical Fertilizer.[1][4]

Then: the Infuser

The Infuser automatically infuses Essences together with Infusion Crystals. Use the buttons below the input slots to choose which tier of Essence it outputs.[4]

After that: the Crafter

The Crafter automatically crafts a recipe from the inputs you give it. Set the recipe using the grid, then put items into the designated input slots.[4]

Finally: the Altarnators

The Infusion Altarnator automatically creates an Infusion Altar recipe, and the Awakening Altarnator does the same for an Awakening Altar recipe. Both are set up like the Crafter: pick the recipe in the grid, then fill the input slots.[4]

The Enchanternator

The Enchanternator automatically creates an Enchanter recipe. You set the recipe in the slots above, then place items in the input slots below. It is enabled in this pack's config via Machines.Enchanternator.enabled.[3][4]

Which Mystical Automation config options matter?

2 parts

Same as in the FTB Skies 2: Aero 1.10.0 guide

Good news: Mystical Automation keeps its config simple. The common config file is Machines.Infuser.enabled and its siblings, one on/off switch per machine, plus one recipe option for the Farmer. Here is how this pack sets them.[3]

Machine toggles

This pack sets the enabled option to true for the Infuser, Crafter, Farmer, Fertilizer, both Altarnators and the Enchanternator.[3]

Farmer recipes

The one option that goes beyond an on/off switch is Machines.Farmer.dynamicMysticalAgricultureRecipes. It is set to true in this pack, which means recipes are generated dynamically for all Mystical Agriculture crops. If you add or see a crop from Mystical Agriculture, the Farmer should be able to handle it without you doing anything extra.[3]

Tip: If a machine seems to be missing, check the matching enabled option in this file first. In this pack these toggles are set to true, so a missing machine is not caused by them.[3]
