What is Farming for Blockheads?
1 part
Same as in the FTB Skies 2: Aero 1.10.0 guide
Farming for Blockheads adds the Market, and in this pack it is a handy shortcut for getting farm supplies. Once you place it, it calls a local Farmer who sells most of the seeds and items you need for a good farm. The pack's quest book points out that this is especially useful in skyblocks, where you can't just wander off and find seeds.[1]
This pack ships Farming for Blockheads 21.1.13, and it has been in the pack since 1.0.3 or earlier.[2]
Where it sits in the quest book
The mod's quest is "The Market" quest. It lives in the "Cooking and Brewing" chapter, which is chapter 12 of 31 in the book and sits in the "Exploration & Combat" group. The chapter has 45 quests.[1]
The quest asks you to get a Market, and no prerequisite is listed for it, so nothing has to come before it. No other quest in the chapter lists it as a prerequisite either, so nothing is shown as coming directly after it. The rest of the chapter covers crop quests such as "Carrot Farm" quest and "Potato Farm" quest, plus kitchen building and potion brewing.[1]
Nothing in the quest data ties this mod to the ATM Star path.[1]
How do you get started with Farming for Blockheads?
3 parts
Same as in the FTB Skies 2: Aero 1.10.0 guide
Step 1: The Market
Start with the Market. In this pack's quest book it is the quest "The Market" quest, in the Cooking and Brewing chapter (chapter 12 of 31, in the Exploration & Combat group), and no earlier quest is listed before it. Once you place it, a local farmer shows up who sells most of the seeds and items a good farm needs. The quest points out that this is especially handy in skyblocks, where you can't just go and find seeds.[1]

Step 2: Fertilizers
Next, look at the fertilizers. Green Fertilizer increases crop output. The mod's config text says Red Fertilizer gives a chance of a bonus growth. The Market also has trade entries for each of them, including Yellow Fertilizer, so you can buy them instead of crafting them.[3][4]

Fertilized farmland can turn back into regular farmland. The mod has a regression chance for this, applied per bonus provided, so don't expect one application to last forever.[4]
Unverified The actual chances for bonus crops, bonus growth and farmland regression are set in the mod's config, and the sources here do not show the pack's values.
Step 3: Animal helpers
Once your crops are going, add the animal blocks. The Chicken Nest collects eggs laid by chickens. The Feeding Trough auto-feeds nearby animals that are ready to mate, which saves you feeding them by hand.[4]

Which FTB Skies 2: Aero quests use Farming for Blockheads?
2 parts
Same as in the FTB Skies 2: Aero 1.10.0 guide
Farming for Blockheads shows up in one quest in this pack: "The Market" quest. It sits in the "Cooking and Brewing" chapter, which is chapter 12 of 31 in the quest book, in the "Exploration & Combat" group. The chapter has 45 quests in total.[1]
The Market quest
The quest asks you to get a Market. The quest text says that once you place it, it calls a local Farmer who sells most of the seeds and items you need for a good farm. It also says the Market is especially useful in skyblocks, which is exactly where you start in this pack.[1]
The chapter doesn't list any quest that has to be finished before this one, so you can pick it up whenever you reach the chapter.[1]
Nearby farming quests
The same chapter has a handful of crop quests that each ask you to hand in a single item: "Sweet Berry Farm" quest, "Carrot Farm" quest, "Potato Farm" quest, "Cabbage Farm" quest, "Onion Farm" quest and "Tomato Farm" quest. None of them are tied to the Market in the quest book, and none of them have a quest listed before them.[1]
