What is IntegratedCrafting?
1 part
Same as in the FTB Skies 2 1.22.0 guide
IntegratedCrafting is a crafting-related add-on in the Integrated Dynamics family. This pack ships version 1.5.0 of it, built for Minecraft 1.21.1 on NeoForge.[1]
Where it fits in the pack
You meet this mod in the pack's Integrated Dynamics quest chapter. There it shows up as two quests in a row, so the pack treats it as part of that questline and not as a separate path.[2]
- The first quest asks you to obtain Part Interface Crafting and Part Terminal Crafting Job. It unlocks after an earlier quest in the same chapter. See "Autocrafting With I.D" quest.[2]
- The follow-up quest asks you to obtain Part Crafting Writer. It unlocks once the first quest is done. See "Crafting Writer" quest.[2]
So if you're already working through Integrated Dynamics, these quests are your cue to start on IntegratedCrafting. The quests ask you to get these parts, and nothing more.[2]
Unverified The sources don't describe what the crafting interface and crafting writer parts do in practice, so I'm not guessing at it here. They also don't show any ATM Star path for this mod. Check the in-game tooltips and quest text before you build around these parts.
How do you get started with IntegratedCrafting?
5 parts
IntegratedCrafting adds autocrafting to Integrated Dynamics networks, so your first steps are really the I.D basics plus a few crafting parts. In the quest book it sits in the "Integrated Dynamics" chapter (group "Tech Mods", chapter 34 of 41).[3][4]
Start with the I.D basics
Begin at "Welcome to Integrated Dynamics!" quest. It asks you to obtain a Menril Sapling, grow it, and break it down for Logs and Berries. The next two quests, "Extracting Menril" quest and "Drying Basin" quest, ask you to get a Squeezer and a Drying Basin, which the quest text uses to turn Menril into Crystallized Menril. The quest text says that once you have a few blocks of it, you can get started on the basics of I.D.[3]
Next, "Networks" quest asks you to get Logic Cables, and its text says anything connected to a cable counts as part of a network. "Interacting With Your Network" quest and "Storage Terminal" quest ask you to get Interfaces and the Storage Terminal, and the autocrafting quest comes right after the Storage Terminal quest.[3]
Make the Crafting Interface
The Part Interface Crafting is the first thing to craft. It tells the network where and how things can be crafted: you point it at a machine such as a crafting table or furnace, and it is bound to that machine.[3][4][5]

To teach it a recipe, open your Logic Programmer and pick the "Recipe" aspect, then choose the recipe in JEI and click the "+" next to it. Put a Variable Card in the bottom slot, and you get a card holding that recipe. Insert that card into the Crafting Interface and place a crafting table in front of it. "Autocrafting With I.D" quest walks through this with an example.[3][4]
In its example, the autocrafting quest has you set up oak planks instead of any planks, and it says shift-clicking the specific item in the Logic Programmer opens the options for that.[3]
Add a Crafting Writer
Once the interface works, the Part Crafting Writer lets your system keep at least 1 of any item you have a recipe for, using the "Craft Item" aspect. See "Crafting Writer" quest for the quest book's take.[3][4]

Attuned and Enumerated interfaces
Two upgraded versions build on the basic interface. The Part Interface Crafting Attuned exposes all recipes of its machine, which can be a lot: a crafting table alone accounts for hundreds. Its GUI shows each recipe as an icon, and clicking one switches it off so the network won't use it for new jobs.[4][5]

The Part Interface Crafting Enumerated reads a list of recipes. In this pack it reads at most 4,096 recipes from a list (machine.general.maxCraftingInterfaceEnumeratedRecipes).[5][6]

Pack settings worth knowing
- The Crafting Interface uses a base energy of 5 per crafting job being processed (general.general.interfaceCraftingBaseConsumption).[6]
- The Attuned Crafting Interface uses a base energy of 10 per crafting job being processed (general.general.interfaceCraftingAttunedBaseConsumption).[6]
- The Enumerated Crafting Interface also uses a base energy of 10 per crafting job being processed (general.general.interfaceCraftingEnumeratedBaseConsumption).[6]
- The Crafting Writer has a base energy usage of 1 (general.general.craftingWriterBaseConsumption).[6]
- Recipes are validated when you insert them into a crafting interface (machine.general.validateRecipesCraftingInterface is true), and validation failures are written to the server logs (machine.general.logRecipeValidationFailures is true).[6]
- One crafting interface can hold up to 64 scheduled jobs that have not started yet (machine.general.maxPendingCraftingJobs).[6]
How does IntegratedCrafting work?
6 parts
IntegratedCrafting lets you autocraft inside Integrated Dynamics networks. The idea is simple: a Crafting Interface sits on a machine and tells the network where and how things can be crafted, and a Crafting Writer starts the jobs.[4]
The three interfaces
The Part Interface Crafting is the basic one. You point it at a machine, such as a Crafting Table or a Furnace, and it is bound to that machine. Then you open its GUI and insert Variable Cards that hold recipes, which tells the interface those recipes can be crafted with the bound machine.[4]

The Part Interface Crafting Attuned saves you the manual work. It reads and exposes all recipes available in the target machine, the same ones the Machine Reader lists. Some modded machines may not be supported, and you will see a red border when you place the interface on one.[4]

The Part Interface Crafting Enumerated takes a single variable holding a list of recipes and exposes every recipe in it. That lets you derive recipes with logic, for example by pointing the Machine Reader at a machine or by filtering a list of recipes. Infinite lists are not supported. In this pack, a list is read only up to the limit in machine.general.maxCraftingInterfaceEnumeratedRecipes, which is set to 4,096. Setting it to 0 removes the limit.[4][6]

Choosing which recipes the attuned interface uses
Because the attuned interface exposes everything, it can hand the network far more than you want. A Crafting Table alone accounts for hundreds of recipes. Its GUI shows every recipe of the bound machine as a grid of output icons, and you decide which ones the network may craft.[4]
- A green border means the recipe is exposed to the network. Click it and it gets a red border and is greyed out, so no new crafting job will use it. Click again to bring it back.[4]
- Hovering over a recipe shows its output, its recipe name and the ingredients it needs.[4]
- To change many recipes at once, hold the mouse button and drag over them. The recipe you start on decides whether the drag enables or disables.[4]
- The search field matches recipe names, mod names and recipe ids. The Enable, Disable and Invert buttons apply to whatever the search currently matches.[4]
How a crafting job runs
A job can be started with the Part Crafting Writer. The writer has aspects to craft a given item, fluid, energy amount or recipe. The pack's quick advancements also have you use it to start a job for Oak Planks.[4]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: integratedcrafting:crafting/part_crafting_writer
- One or more Crafting Interfaces that have a recipe matching the job are used.[4]
- All ingredients the recipe needs are pulled from the network and held inside the job in the interface. This stops them being used elsewhere before the job finishes.[4]
- The interface inserts the recipe inputs into the bound machine, based on the storage network contents provided by Integrated Tunnels interfaces.[4]
- The job is marked as completed only once the expected outputs are inserted into the storage network.[4]
The interface does not import results from the machine. You have to get them back into the network, either with an active Integrated Tunnels importer on the machine or by letting the machine output into the Crafting Interface. Anything inserted into the interface (items, fluids, energy) goes into the storage network for the configured channel. The Crafting Table is the exception: it only needs a Crafting Interface.[4]
Blocking mode and settings
Blocking mode is enabled by default. The machine then accepts only one recipe at a time and starts the next only when the previous one has completed. For machines that process several inputs in parallel, you can disable it in the interface's settings GUI. Then, for a multi-amount job, the machine processes as many inputs as possible.[4]
Like most Integrated Dynamics parts, the interface lets you set the channel, priority and tick rate. You can also change the target side separately for each ingredient type. That helps when a machine takes items from the sides but fluids from the top.[4]
Reading the network
The mod also adds read aspects for logic builders: a list of all available recipes, a list of all active crafting jobs as recipes, and a list of all ingredients being crafted. A craft delay aspect makes a craft happen only if the ingredient has been missing from storage for the given duration.[4]
Energy and limits in this pack
Each part has a base energy usage in the pack's config. The writer uses general.general.craftingWriterBaseConsumption (1). The interfaces use their value per crafting job being processed: 5 for general.general.interfaceCraftingBaseConsumption, 10 for general.general.interfaceCraftingAttunedBaseConsumption and 10 for general.general.interfaceCraftingEnumeratedBaseConsumption.[6]
- machine.general.maxPendingCraftingJobs is 64. This is the most jobs one interface can have scheduled without having started them.[6]
- machine.general.minCraftingInterfaceUpdateFreq is 5 ticks for regular interfaces. machine.general.minCraftingInterfaceEnumeratedUpdateFreq is 20 ticks for enumerated ones, because reading a list of recipes costs more than reading a single recipe.[6]
- machine.general.validateRecipesCraftingInterface is on, so the interface validates recipes when they are inserted. machine.general.logRecipeValidationFailures is also on, so failures are written to the server logs.[6]
- Interfaces remember crafting durations to estimate job times: up to 32 recipes (machine.general.craftingInterfaceRecipeDurationEntries), each forgotten after 144,000 ticks (machine.general.craftingInterfaceRecipeDurationMaxAge). Setting either to 0 disables recipe-specific estimates or forgetting, respectively.[6]
If a recipe slot in the GUI shows that a recipe is not acceptable by the target, the bound machine cannot take it. A list that is too long shows a message that only the first set of recipes is used.[4]
How do you progress through IntegratedCrafting?
4 parts
Same as in the FTB Skies 2 1.22.0 guide
IntegratedCrafting doesn't have a long tier ladder in this pack. What you get is a short quest chain in the Integrated Dynamics chapter, plus one upgrade recipe for the crafting interface. Here is how it fits together.[2][7]
The quest path
The IntegratedCrafting quests sit in the Integrated Dynamics chapter of the quest book. The first one comes after an earlier quest in that chapter, so you need to be on the Integrated Dynamics line before they unlock.[2]
- Quest "Autocrafting With I.D" quest asks you to get the Part Interface Crafting and the Part Terminal Crafting Job.[2]
- Quest "Crafting Writer" quest unlocks after that one and asks for the Part Crafting Writer.[2]
The crafting interface
The Part Interface Crafting is the first IntegratedCrafting part the quests ask for. It is a shaped crafting recipe, and the recipe below is the exact one used in this pack.[2][7]

The crafting writer
The Part Crafting Writer is the last IntegratedCrafting item the quest chain asks for. Here is its recipe in this pack.[2][7]

Optional upgrade: the attuned interface
The recipe dump also has an upgrade for the interface, the Part Interface Crafting Attuned. It is crafted from the regular Part Interface Crafting plus other materials, so you can't skip the base interface.[7]

How does IntegratedCrafting work with other mods?
4 parts
Same as in the FTB Skies 2 1.22.0 guide
In this pack, IntegratedCrafting's links to other mods show up mainly through Integrated Dynamics. All three of its parts in the recipe dump are crafted from Integrated Dynamics components, and the pack's quest chapter for that mod covers them too. The sources show no other mod's items in IntegratedCrafting recipes, so don't expect more than this.[2][7]
Crafting Writer
The Part Crafting Writer is crafted from an Integrated Dynamics transformer and a vanilla Crafting Table. The recipe below is the exact one used in the pack.[7]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: integratedcrafting:crafting/part_crafting_writer
Crafting Interface
The Part Interface Crafting is the most Integrated Dynamics-heavy recipe of the three. It uses both variable transformers, a crystallized block and a crafting table, plus an iron ingot from the common ingot tag, so any mod's iron ingot works.[7]

Attuned Crafting Interface
The Part Interface Crafting Attuned upgrades the plain crafting interface. It also needs an Integrated Dynamics crystallized block and a gem from the common emerald tag.[7]

Quest links
The pack's integrated_dynamics quest chapter pulls IntegratedCrafting into its progression. Quest "Autocrafting With I.D" quest asks you to hand in the Part Interface Crafting and the Part Terminal Crafting Job from Integrated Terminals.[2]
Quest "Crafting Writer" quest comes right after it and asks for the Part Crafting Writer.[2]
Which FTB Skies 2 quests use IntegratedCrafting?
Same as in the FTB Skies 2 1.22.0 guide
In this pack, IntegratedCrafting appears in the Integrated Dynamics quest chapter. The quests that ask for items from this mod run in a fixed order.[2]
- "Autocrafting With I.D" quest comes first. Its tasks are the Part Interface Crafting and the Part Terminal Crafting Job. It unlocks after an earlier quest in the same chapter.[2]
- "Crafting Writer" quest comes next and unlocks after the quest above. Its task is the Part Crafting Writer.[2]
So the order is the crafting interface (together with the crafting job terminal part) first, then the crafting writer. Both quests are untitled in the pack files, so you'll know them by their tasks.[2]
Which IntegratedCrafting config options matter?
4 parts
All of IntegratedCrafting's settings live in one file, config/integratedcrafting-common.toml. Here are the options you are most likely to care about, with the exact values this pack ships.[6]
Energy use
The crafting interfaces draw energy for every crafting job they process, so these values matter when you size your power setup. This pack sets them as follows:[6]
- general.general.interfaceCraftingBaseConsumption is 5 for the regular crafting interface, per crafting job being processed.[6]
- general.general.interfaceCraftingAttunedBaseConsumption is 10 for the attuned crafting interface, per crafting job being processed.[6]
- general.general.interfaceCraftingEnumeratedBaseConsumption is 10 for the enumerated crafting interface, per crafting job being processed.[6]
- general.general.craftingWriterBaseConsumption is 1 for the crafting writer.[6]
Crafting interface behaviour
- machine.general.maxPendingCraftingJobs is 64: the most crafting jobs one crafting interface can have scheduled without them being started.[6]
- machine.general.minCraftingInterfaceUpdateFreq is 5 ticks, the minimal update frequency for crafting interfaces.[6]
- machine.general.minCraftingInterfaceEnumeratedUpdateFreq is 20 ticks for enumerated crafting interfaces. Reading a list of recipes is more expensive than reading a single one, which is why this value is higher than the regular interface.[6]
- machine.general.maxCraftingInterfaceEnumeratedRecipes is 4,096: the most recipes read from a list inside an enumerated crafting interface. Setting it to 0 removes the limit.[6]
- machine.general.validateRecipesCraftingInterface is true, so the crafting interface validates recipes when they are inserted.[6]
- machine.general.logRecipeValidationFailures is true, so every recipe validation failure in crafting interfaces is written to the server logs. Check there if a recipe will not go in.[6]
Duration estimates
Crafting interfaces remember how long recipes took so they can estimate job durations. machine.general.craftingInterfaceRecipeDurationEntries is 32 recipes per interface, and 0 turns recipe-specific estimates off. machine.general.craftingInterfaceRecipeDurationMaxAge is 144,000 ticks, after which a measured duration is forgotten so estimates follow changes to your network. Setting it to 0 means they are never forgotten.[6]
Analytics and version checking
core.general.analytics is true, which allows an anonymous mod startup analytics request to be sent. core.general.versionChecker is false, so the version checker is off.[6]
Unverified The sources only show the values this pack ships. They do not say which of them differ from the mod's own defaults, so none of them can be called a pack change.
