What is Simple Conveyor Belts?
2 parts
Same as in the FTB Skies 2 1.22.0 guide
Simple Conveyor Belts is a basic conveyor belt mod. It adds spline-based item belts that carry items from point A to point B, so you can build item logistics in whatever shape you like. This pack includes version 0.2.2, the NeoForge build for Minecraft 1.21.1.[1][2]
It's designed to work with any item storage mod, so you can link one inventory to another with a belt that curves however you need, for example starting from a chest. The mod is still in beta, so issues may turn up.[1]
What you get
- A Conveyor Belt item, plus optional Support and Chute blocks.[1]
- Fully dynamic belts: only the start and end need to sit on blocks, and everything in between can curve, bend and twist freely.[1]
- Transfer speed of about 1 stack per second.[1]
- Smart overflow handling: if the destination is full, items visibly pile up on the belt.[1]
- Easy filtering: click a conveyor chute with an item to set it as the filter. Smart Filters from the FTB Filters mod work too.[1]
- Shader compatibility with Iris and Oculus.[1]
Quick start
- Optionally place Chute blocks where the belt will start and end. They can also be placed automatically when you use the belt item.[1]
- Optionally place Support blocks along the path to shape the curve.[1]
- Right-click the belt item on a starting inventory, such as a chest.[1]
- Walk to the destination inventory and right-click it to finish. The path connects the two points automatically.[1]
How do you get started with Simple Conveyor Belts?
5 parts
Simple Conveyor Belts moves items from one inventory to another along a belt that can curve, bend and twist however you like. Only the start and the end need to sit on blocks. Here is what to craft first, in order.[1]
First: the Conveyor Belt
Start with the Conveyor Belt. It is the item that builds the whole line, and its tooltip says it makes belts of any shape and size and automatically places Item Chutes at the start and end. The pack has two crafting recipes for it, and each one makes 8 belts.[3][4]
Crafting Shaped

Recipe id: belts:belt_item_alt
The second recipe for the belt item, it also makes 8.
Second: Conveyor Item Chutes
Next, make some Conveyor Item Chute. You attach a chute to any inventory block, and belts attach to the chute. The belt item can place chutes for you, but you can also place them yourself before you build the belt. One craft gives you 16.[1][3][4]
Crafting Shaped

Recipe id: belts:chute_item
One craft makes 16 chutes.
Chutes also do filtering. Right-click a chute with an item to set that item as the filter. It also supports smart filters from the FTB Filters mod.[1][4]
Third: Conveyor Supports
Conveyor Support is optional, but it is how you guide the path. Place supports along the route to shape the curve of the belt. One craft makes 4.[1][3][4]

One craft makes 4 supports.
Building your first belt
- Optionally place chutes where the belt will start and end. If you skip this, the belt item places them for you.[1][4]
- Optionally place conveyor supports along the route to shape the curve.[1]
- Right-click the belt item on your starting inventory, for example a chest. You will see the message "Stored Start!".[1][4]
- Walk to the destination inventory and right-click it to finish the belt. The path connects between the two points automatically.[1]
- To add a midpoint, click a conveyor support while setting up the belt. To start over, hold Shift and right-click without targeting a block.[4]
Upgrading to the Improved Conveyor Belt
Once the basic setup works, the Improved Conveyor Belt is the upgrade. It is a Mark 2 belt with twice the movement speed and transport capacity, and it connects to the same Item Chutes and Conveyor Supports as a standard belt. One craft makes 8.[3][4]

The mod's project page describes it as still in beta, so report any issues you find.[1]
How does Simple Conveyor Belts work?
5 parts
Simple Conveyor Belts moves items from point A to point B along a belt you shape yourself. The belts are spline-based, so only the start and end have to sit on blocks. Everything in between can curve, bend and twist freely.[1]
Chutes and inventories
The Conveyor Item Chute attaches to any inventory block, and belts attach to the chute. That makes the chute the connection point between a belt and a chest or other storage. The mod's project page says it is designed to work with any item storage mod.[1][4]
Chutes are also where filtering happens. Right-click a chute with an item to set that item as its filter. Chutes also support smart filters from the FTB Filters mod. You can click an existing connected chute with an item to turn filtering on after the belt is built.[1][4]
Building a belt
The Conveyor Belt is used to create belts of any shape and size. Placing chutes and supports by hand is optional, because the belt item automatically places chutes at the start and end.[1][4]
- Optionally place Conveyor Item Chute blocks where the belt will start and end.[1][4]
- Optionally place Conveyor Support blocks along the path. They guide the belt's route and shape its curve.[1][4]
- Right-click the belt item on the starting inventory, for example a chest. The game confirms with "Stored Start!".[1][4]
- Walk to the destination inventory and right-click it to finish the belt. The path connects automatically between the two points and you get "Created Belt!".[1][4]
You can also click existing chutes to mark them as the start or end. Clicking a conveyor support adds an optional midpoint. If you click a midpoint you already stored, the game says it is already stored. If you click a chute that is already in use, it tells you so.[4]
Speed and overflow
The mod's project page gives the standard belt's item transfer speed as roughly 1 stack per second. If the destination is full, items visibly pile up on the belt instead of disappearing.[1]
The Improved Conveyor Belt is a Mark 2 belt with twice the movement speed and transport capacity of the standard one. It connects to the same chutes and supports, and it is built and reset the same way.[4]
Crafting
The pack has a main crafting recipe for the standard belt and an alternative one. Each makes 8 belts.[3]

How do you progress through Simple Conveyor Belts?
2 parts
Simple Conveyor Belts is a small mod in this pack, so this section is short. The sources here cover the crafting recipes for its items, and the exact in-pack recipes are shown below.[3]
Belt items
The mod gives you the Conveyor Belt and the Improved Conveyor Belt. Each craft makes 8 belts, so a single craft covers a good stretch of line.[3]

Supporting pieces
The Conveyor Support and the Conveyor Item Chute help you build out your lines. A craft gives you 4 supports or 16 chutes.[3]

Makes 16 Conveyor Item Chutes.
When you break a support or a chute, the block drops itself, so you can pick up and move your setup without losing the pieces. The exception is an explosion, which can destroy them.[5][6]
What changed in Simple Conveyor Belts between versions?
1 part
FTB Evolution 2 1.1.0 ships Simple Conveyor Belts version 2.0.0-exp1. The mod was already in the pack by 1.0.2 or earlier, so that version is the one you are running now.[7]
2.0.0-exp1
This is the mod's own changelog for the version in the pack. It is an experimental build, and it changes quite a bit:[7][8]
- The mod was updated and migrated to 26.1.2.[8]
- A new mk2 belt was added, and it is twice as fast as the original belt.[8]
- Belts now have entity and player collisions.[8]
- Belts now move entities that are on them.[8]
Unverified The pack changelogs available here have no entries for Simple Conveyor Belts, so the sources do not show which pack release first updated the mod to 2.0.0-exp1 or what version it replaced.
