What is Simple Conveyor Belts?
2 parts
Simple Conveyor Belts is a basic conveyor belt mod. It adds spline-based item belts that carry items from point A to point B, so you can build item logistics in whatever shape you like. This pack includes version 0.2.2, the NeoForge build for Minecraft 1.21.1.[1][2]
It's designed to work with any item storage mod, so you can link one inventory to another with a belt that curves however you need, for example starting from a chest. The mod is still in beta, so issues may turn up.[1]
What you get
- A Conveyor Belt item, plus optional Support and Chute blocks.[1]
- Fully dynamic belts: only the start and end need to sit on blocks, and everything in between can curve, bend and twist freely.[1]
- Transfer speed of about 1 stack per second.[1]
- Smart overflow handling: if the destination is full, items visibly pile up on the belt.[1]
- Easy filtering: click a conveyor chute with an item to set it as the filter. Smart Filters from the FTB Filters mod work too.[1]
- Shader compatibility with Iris and Oculus.[1]
Quick start
- Optionally place Chute blocks where the belt will start and end. They can also be placed automatically when you use the belt item.[1]
- Optionally place Support blocks along the path to shape the curve.[1]
- Right-click the belt item on a starting inventory, such as a chest.[1]
- Walk to the destination inventory and right-click it to finish. The path connects the two points automatically.[1]
How do you get started with Simple Conveyor Belts?
4 parts
Simple Conveyor Belts moves items from point A to point B along a belt that can curve, bend and twist however you like. You only need a few items to get going, and the order below is the one that makes the most sense when you're starting out.[1]
Craft the Conveyor Belt first
The Conveyor Belt is the one item you really need. It's what you use to build a belt of any shape and size. You can craft it with either of the recipes below, so use whichever is easier to get.[3][4]

Then craft Conveyor Item Chutes
A Conveyor Item Chute attaches to an inventory block, and the belt attaches to the chute. The belt can place chutes for you at the start and end, so crafting them yourself is optional. They're still worth having for placing exactly where you want them. The pack changed this recipe, so it can differ from what you've seen in the mod elsewhere.[1][3][4]

Finally, craft Conveyor Supports
A Conveyor Support guides the path of your belt. Place a few along the way when you want to shape the curve or add midpoints. These are optional too, and the pack changed this recipe as well.[1][3][4]

Build your first belt
- Optionally, place chutes where the belt will start and end, and supports along the route to shape it.[1]
- Right-click the belt item on your starting inventory, for example a chest.[1]
- Walk to the destination inventory and right-click it to finish. The path auto-connects between the two points.[1]
- If you want to use chutes or supports you already placed, click the existing chutes to mark them as start and end, and click supports to add optional midpoints.[4]
- If you make a mistake, Shift + Right-Click without targeting a block to reset.[4]
Only the start and end of a belt need to sit on blocks. Everything in between can curve freely. Transfer speed is about 1 stack per second, and if the destination is full, items visibly pile up on the belt.[1]
How does Simple Conveyor Belts work?
5 parts
Simple Conveyor Belts is all about moving items from point A to point B. The belts are spline-based, so they can curve, bend and twist in whatever shape you need. Only the start and the end have to sit on blocks, and everything in between is free-form.[1]
The three parts
- Conveyor Belt: the tool you use to create belts of any shape and size. It automatically places Item Chutes at the start and end, and you don't need to carry chutes for that.[3][4]
- Conveyor Item Chute: attach it to any inventory block, and belts attach to the chute. That is how a belt connects to a chest or any other storage.[1][3][4]
- Conveyor Support: used to guide the belt's path. You click supports with the belt item to add optional midpoints.[3][4]
Building a belt
- Optionally place chutes where the belt will start and end. If you skip this, the belt item places them for you.[1][4]
- Optionally place supports along the route to shape the curve.[1]
- Right-click the belt item on your starting inventory, for example a chest.[1]
- Walk to the destination inventory and right-click it to finish the belt. The path connects between the two points automatically.[1]
If you already have chutes placed, click them with the belt item to mark them as the start or end. Click supports to add midpoints. Made a mistake? Shift + Right-Click without targeting a block to reset.[4]
Speed and overflow
The mod lists an item transfer speed of about 1 stack per second. If the destination is full, items visibly pile up on the belt instead of disappearing.[1]
Unverified The pack ships no config files for this mod, so the transfer speed above comes from the mod's own description. Whether the pack changes it has not been confirmed.
Filtering
To filter what a belt carries, right-click a chute with an item to set that item as the filter. You can also click an existing connected chute with an item to enable filtering. Chutes support the smart filters from the FTB Filters mod as well.[1][4]
Crafting
The belt item can be crafted with either of these recipes, and both come from the mod itself.[3]

The pack changes the chute and support recipes, so don't rely on what you remember from the mod's defaults.[3]

How do you progress through Simple Conveyor Belts?
3 parts
The sources for this pack show no tier ladder for Simple Conveyor Belts. What they show is a set of craftable pieces: the Conveyor Belt, the Conveyor Item Chute and the Conveyor Support. You can craft each of them straight away, with no chain of upgrades to unlock first.[3]
The conveyor belt
The Conveyor Belt is the base of any setup. It has a pair of recipes, and both are the mod's own recipes, unchanged by the pack. You can craft it with either.[3]

The chute and supports
The pack changed the recipes for the Conveyor Item Chute and the Conveyor Support. If you have seen the mod's defaults elsewhere, don't trust them here. Use the recipes below.[3]

Quests
Unverified The sources here do not show any quest involving this mod, so the pack's quest book gives no guided path for it. They also do not show any higher tiers or upgrades for these items.
What changed in Simple Conveyor Belts between versions?
3 parts
FTB Skies 2 1.22.0 ships Simple Conveyor Belts 0.2.2. The mod has been in the pack since FTB Skies 2 1.6.0 or earlier. Here are the changes the mod's own changelogs list for 0.2.0, 0.2.1 and 0.2.2.[2]
0.2.0
- Extracting conveyor belt chutes can now filter items. Click an item to set the filter. It also works with smart filters from FTB Filters if that mod is installed.[5]
- Items now rotate better when they move along corners.[5]
0.2.1
- Fixed the belt item (and its contents) not always being dropped.[6]
- Fixed belts not disconnecting properly when broken.[6]
- Placing a chute now consumes the chute item.[6]
0.2.2
- Fixed a crash when placing a conveyor chute block on floors.[7]
- Fixed a potential crash when invalid conveyors are destroyed.[7]
Since FTB Skies 2 1.22.0 includes 0.2.2, the newest of these releases, you get the chute filtering and both crash fixes in this pack version.[2][5][7]
