What is Farming for Blockheads?
Same as in the All the Mods 11 0.10.0-beta guide
This pack includes Farming for Blockheads at version 26.1.2.5, built for NeoForge on Minecraft 26.1.2. That version was already present in this pack release or an earlier one.[1]
How do you get started with Farming for Blockheads?
5 parts
Farming for Blockheads is a small set of farming helpers, and every item in it has a crafting table recipe in the pack. The sources here show no quests, no config files and no in-jar guidebook for it. Nothing forces an order on you, so this is the order I'd start in, based on what each item says it does.[2][3]
Start with the Watering Can
Make the Watering Can first. Its tooltip says you refill it at a water source, and the mod has a "Fully Watered" message for it. The mod's text also describes a chance of bonus growth on farmland hydrated by a Watering Can.[3]

Then fertilizers
Next, make fertilizer. Each craft gives you 4. Green Fertilizer increases crop output, and Red Fertilizer gives a chance of bonus growth. The mod also has Fertilized Farmland, which can turn back into regular farmland each time it provides a bonus.[2][3]

Yellow Fertilizer is also made 4 at a time, but the sources here don't describe what it does.[2]

Animal helpers
Once crops are going, the Chicken Nest collects eggs laid by chickens, and the Feeding Trough auto-feeds nearby animals that are ready to mate.[3]

Unverified What the Market actually sells and at what prices is controlled by the mod's config, and the sources here include no config file for it. The pack's quest book has no quests for this mod either, so check the Market screen in game.
Other craftables
The pack also has recipes for the Sprinkler, Scythe, Shipping Bin, Rabbit Trap and Fishing Barrel. The sources here don't describe what they do, so I'm not ranking them. You can look each one up on its own page.[2][3]
How does Farming for Blockheads work?
6 parts
Farming for Blockheads is mostly a set of standalone blocks and tools. The sources I have don't show any power, fluid or multiblock systems for it, so this section covers what they do confirm: animal helpers, farmland care, the Market and the Shipping Bin.[3]
Animal helpers
The Chicken Nest collects eggs laid by chickens. The mod has a range setting for how far away the nest picks up laid eggs.[3]

| any plank | Hay Block | any plank |

The Feeding Trough automatically feeds nearby animals that are ready to mate. It has a range, and a cap on the number of animals per type. Once that cap is reached, the trough stops feeding.[3]

| any plank | Golden Carrot | any plank |
| any plank | Hay Block | any plank |

The Rabbit Trap can capture armadillos, cats, chickens, frogs and rabbits. The same animals are the ones it can spawn. When you pick the trap back up, it keeps its damage and max damage values. Its loot table also gives a very small chance of a renamed piece of paper called Mysterious Note, signed by the Fox.[3][4][5][6][7]

Watering and fertilizing farmland
The Watering Can is refilled at a water source. Farmland hydrated by a Watering Can has a configurable chance of a bonus growth.[3]

| Empty slot | Iron Ingot | Empty slot |
| Iron Ingot | Empty slot | Iron Ingot |
| Empty slot | Water Bucket | Empty slot |
Recipe id: farmingforblockheads:watering_can
The mod also has an option to disable vanilla watering. If it is on, farmland will not become moist from nearby water, but rain and Watering Cans still hydrate it.[3]
Fertilizers turn farmland into Fertilized Farmland. Green Fertilizer increases crop output through a chance of a bonus crop. Red Fertilizer gives a chance of a bonus growth. Each bonus provided carries a chance that the Fertilized Farmland turns back into regular Farmland. Yellow Fertilizer also exists, but the sources here don't say what it does.[3]
Fertilized Farmland comes in several block variants, grouped by tags into healthy, rich and stable. Healthy and rich each have a stable version, and there is also a plain stable one. Whatever the variant, breaking it drops regular dirt.[8][9][10][11][12][13][14][15][16]

Sprinkler
The Sprinkler has tags for the blocks used as its base: honey block, magma block, slime block, and snow block or powder snow. Another tag lists the items that can go on top: carved pumpkin, jack o'lantern, and the player, creeper, dragon, piglin and zombie heads. Snow, snow block and powder snow melt into air, while ice and frosted ice melt into water. The sources don't spell out what each base does in play.[17][18][19][20][21][22][23]

Market and Merchant
The Market has its own screen, and the mod also adds a Merchant entity with a configurable list of possible names. The Market's stock is organised into groups. By default the enabled groups are selling.seeds, selling.saplings and selling.fertilizers.minecraft. You can enable more groups or disable others, and a disabled group wins over an enabled one. For example, disabling selling.seeds removes all seeds from the Market. The Market has a lower half, and only that lower half drops the item when broken.[3][24]

Shipping Bin
The Shipping Bin has its own container screen. Its payout comes from a loot table that gives emeralds, with the amount based on the value of the shipment. The mod also adds Shipping Balloon and Falling Shipping Crate entities, and one advancement asks you to shoot a Shipping Balloon out of the air. If Pantry for Blockheads is loaded, a Falling Shipping Crate drops a small amount of mashed produce.[3][25][26]

Other tools
The Fishing Barrel has its own container screen. The mod's fishing rod tag holds the vanilla fishing rod and, if present, the common fishing rod tag. The Scythe shows up in the sources only as the item called Scythe and its crafting recipe.[2][3][27]

Unverified The mod has settings for ranges, bonus chances, the animal cap and Market groups, but the sources here don't include the config files or the pack's values for them. Check the config in the pack itself before relying on any specific number.
How do you progress through Farming for Blockheads?
3 parts
Here's the honest picture: the sources for this section list the crafting recipes for Farming for Blockheads in this pack, but they don't lay out a tier ladder or an unlock order, so I won't invent one. What I can show you is what you can craft and what happens when you break or ship things.[2]
What you can craft
Every item below has a shaped crafting recipe that comes from the mod itself. The Market and Shipping Bin cover buying and selling. The Sprinkler, Watering Can and Scythe help with the crops. The Chicken Nest, Feeding Trough, Fishing Barrel and Rabbit Trap are for animals and fish.[2]

The mod also has fertilized farmland blocks in healthy, healthy stable, rich, rich stable and stable versions. Breaking any of them gives you plain dirt, not the farmland itself.[12][13][14][15][16]
Shipping and drops
The mod's loot table for the Shipping Bin pays out emeralds. The number of emeralds is set from the shipment value, using a linear amount with a base of 0.0078125 and the same 0.0078125 for each level above the first.[25]
The falling shipping crate only has its loot table when Pantry for Blockheads is loaded. If it is, the crate gives a random small count (a uniform roll) of Mashed Produce. See Pantry for Blockheads for that mod.[26]
- The Market only drops when you break its lower half.[24]
- The Rabbit Trap keeps its damage and max damage when you pick it up, so wear carries over to the item.[6]
- The Chicken Nest, Feeding Trough, Fishing Barrel, Shipping Bin and Sprinkler each drop themselves when broken.[28][29][30][31][32]
What changed in Farming for Blockheads between versions?
1 part
FTB Evolution 2 1.1.0 ships Farming for Blockheads version 26.1.2.5. The mod has been in the pack since FTB Evolution 2 1.0.2 or earlier, so you will not find it as a new addition in 1.1.0.[33]
Farming for Blockheads 26.1.2.5
- Fixed configured market group exclusions not applying correctly. If you or the pack exclude market groups in the config, this release is the one where those exclusions are applied as intended.[34]
The sources I have here do not include any pack changelog entries for this mod, so there is nothing further to report about how it changed between pack releases.[33]
