What is Farming for Blockheads?
This pack includes Farming for Blockheads at version 26.1.2.5, built for NeoForge on Minecraft 26.1.2. That version was already present in this pack release or an earlier one.[1]
How do you get started with Farming for Blockheads?
5 parts
Farming for Blockheads adds a set of farming tools and machines, and every item below has its own crafting recipe in this pack. Here is the order I would make things in, and why.[2]
Step one: the Market
Start with the Market. It has its own screen, and the mod's default groups for it cover seeds, saplings and fertilizers, so it is the natural first stop for stocking up. Those are the mod's defaults, not confirmed values for this pack.[3]

Step two: the Watering Can
Next, make the Watering Can. You refill it at a water source, and farmland hydrated by it has a chance of a bonus growth.[3]

Step three: fertilizers
Once you have crops going, add fertilizer. Green Fertilizer increases crop output, with a chance of a bonus crop. Red Fertilizer gives a chance of a bonus growth. Fertilized Farmland also has a chance to turn back into regular Farmland each time it provides a bonus. Yellow Fertilizer has a recipe too.[3]

Step four: animal helpers
When you move on to animals, the Chicken Nest collects eggs laid by chickens. The Feeding Trough auto-feeds nearby animals that are ready to mate.[3]

Other items to look at
The mod also adds the Scythe, Sprinkler, Shipping Bin, Fishing Barrel and Rabbit Trap. Each one has its own crafting recipe in the pack.[2]
Unverified The exact bonus chances, ranges and Market stock in this pack are not shown in the sources here, and neither are any quests for this mod, so there is no quest-book progression to follow for it.
How does Farming for Blockheads work?
5 parts
Farming for Blockheads works through single blocks you place near your crops and animals, plus a few tools. This page covers what the sources here confirm about how those pieces behave in the pack.[3]
The Market and the Merchant
The Market is the mod's shop block and has its own container screen. The Merchant is a separate entity from the same mod. What the Market offers is organised into groups. The built-in defaults are seeds, saplings and the vanilla fertilizers. The mod's config can include or disable groups, and a group in the disable list wins over the enable list. Disabling the seeds group, for example, removes every seed from the Market.[3]

The mod also has a setting for the names a merchant can have, and one that treats merchants as babies on a technical level. That second setting exists to resolve exploits based on merchant death loot.[3]
Watering and hydration
The Watering Can is refilled at a water source, and it shows a "Fully Watered" message. Farmland hydrated by a Watering Can can also get a bonus growth, with the chance set in the mod's config.[3]
The mod also has an option that stops farmland from becoming moist from nearby water. If it is on, rain and Watering Cans still hydrate farmland. The Sprinkler is part of the mod too, but the sources here do not describe how it works.[3]

Fertilizers and fertilized farmland
Green Fertilizer increases crop output, and the config sets the chance of a bonus crop. Red Fertilizer has its own config chance, for a bonus growth. Yellow Fertilizer also exists, but the sources here do not say what it does.[3]
Fertilized Farmland has a configurable chance, per bonus it provides, to turn back into regular Farmland. It comes in several variants (healthy, rich, stable, and the combinations healthy stable and rich stable), all named Fertilized Farmland. Every one of these variants drops plain dirt when broken.[3][4][5][6][7][8]

Animal helpers
The Feeding Trough auto-feeds nearby animals that are ready to mate. The config has two limits for it: the range in which it can feed animals, and a maximum number of animals per type, after which it stops feeding.[3]
The Chicken Nest collects eggs laid by chickens. The range at which it picks up laid eggs is also a config setting.[3]

Other blocks
The Shipping Bin and the Fishing Barrel each have a container screen. The mod also has Shipping Balloon and Falling Shipping Crate entities, and an advancement for shooting a Shipping Balloon out of the air. The Rabbit Trap and the Scythe (named Scythe in game) are in the mod too. The sources here do not explain how any of these work in detail.[3]
Unverified The exact numbers behind these systems (ranges, bonus chances, the animal cap and the default Market prices) are set in the mod's config. There are no config files for this mod in the sources here, so this page cannot tell you whether the pack changes them.
How do you progress through Farming for Blockheads?
3 parts
The sources here don't lay out a tier ladder for Farming for Blockheads in this pack, so this section sticks to what they confirm: which items you can craft, how the fertilized farmland blocks behave when broken, and how the Shipping Bin pays out.[2][4][9]
What you can craft
Every item below has its own shaped crafting recipe, and the recipe dump lists each one as a mod recipe.[2]
- Market, Shipping Bin, Sprinkler and Watering Can[2]
- Scythe[2]

Fertilized farmland variants
The mod ships these fertilized farmland blocks: healthy, healthy stable, rich, rich stable and stable. Breaking any of them drops plain dirt.[4][5][6][7][8]
Shipping Bin payout
The Shipping Bin pays out in emeralds. The emerald count depends on the value of what you shipped, using a linear formula with a base of 0.0078125 and the same amount added per level above the first.[9]
Unverified Several KubeJS scripts and data files in this pack are not shown in the sources here, for example kubejs/server_scripts/unification/crops.js and data/farmingforblockheads/tags/block/fertilized_farmland.json. Any pack-specific changes to Farming for Blockheads recipes or behaviour that live there are unconfirmed.
