What is PotionsMaster?
Same as in the All the Mods 10 6.0 guide
PotionsMaster is part of this pack, which ships version 0.7.1-packdev of the mod. It has been in the pack since at least version 2.25, so it's been part of the modlist for a while.[1]
Unverified No sources were available to confirm what the mod adds, how its mechanics work, who it's aimed at, or where it fits in the pack's progression. Check the items in JEI/EMI and the mod's own documentation until this section can be expanded. This site does hold All the Mods - Gravitas's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
How do you get started with PotionsMaster?
4 parts
PotionsMaster in this pack starts with grinding. Every grinding recipe for the mod's powders uses the Pestle and the Mortar, so you make those tools before anything else. After that you work up from basic powders to the smelted calcinated versions.[2]
Your first items, in order
- Craft the Pestle. Every powder grinding recipe needs it, and the recipe below is the exact one from the pack.[2]
- Craft the Mortar. The pack changed this recipe, so don't rely on the mod's default. Use the recipe shown below.[2]
- Make Ender Powder. It's a crafting recipe with the Pestle and Mortar, and many of the other powders need it as an input, so make a good stock early.[2]
- Grind your first real powders. Metals, gems and other materials each have their own powder recipe, such as Iron Powder and Redstone Powder.[2]
- Smelt powders to get the calcinated versions, for example Calcinated Iron Powder. Smelting Charcoal Powder gives you Activated Charcoal.[2]

Changed by the pack, so it can differ from the mod's default.
Ender Powder: the key ingredient
Most metal and gem powders in this pack need Ender Powder as an input. That includes Copper Powder, Gold Powder, Diamond Powder and Netherite Powder. Make a stock of it as soon as you have the tools.[2]
Bismuth Powder and Charcoal Powder skip it. They only need their base material plus the Pestle and Mortar, so they make easy early grinds.[2]
Calcinating powders
Each calcinated powder is a plain smelting recipe that takes the matching powder. Your furnace turns Coal Powder into Calcinated Coal Powder, and Gold Powder into Calcinated Gold Powder.[2]
How does PotionsMaster work?
3 parts
PotionsMaster in this pack is a hand-crafting mod as far as the recipes show. Powders come from the crafting grid, and the calcinated versions come from smelting. I can't show any power, fluid, multiblock or automation handling for it, so I'm leaving those out.[2]
The Mortar and Pestle
Everything starts with the Pestle and the Mortar. Both appear as ingredients in the powder recipes, so you grind powders in a normal crafting grid rather than in a machine.[2]

The Mortar recipe has been changed by the pack, so don't rely on what you remember from the mod's defaults. The recipe below is the one that applies here.[2]

Grinding powders
Every powder is a shapeless crafting recipe: you put a single raw material in the grid together with the Pestle and the Mortar. Most recipes also need Ender Powder as an extra ingredient. The exceptions are Ender Powder itself, Bismuth Powder and Charcoal Powder, which don't ask for it.[2]
Make this one early, because most of the other powder recipes need it.
The metal powders accept any matching ingot from the shared ingot tags, and the gem powders accept any matching gem. That covers iron, gold, copper, tin, zinc, nickel, silver and bismuth for the metals, and diamond, emerald and lapis for the gems. Coal Powder, Redstone Powder, Quartz Powder and Netherite Powder take specific vanilla materials instead: coal, redstone, quartz and netherite scrap.[2]

Calcinating powders
Some powders can be smelted into calcinated versions. Each of these is a plain smelting recipe with a single powder as the input. The ones I can confirm are:[2]
- Bismuth Powder becomes Calcinated Bismuth Powder.[2]
- Coal Powder becomes Calcinated Coal Powder.[2]
- Copper Powder becomes Calcinated Copper Powder.[2]
- Diamond Powder becomes Calcinated Diamond Powder.[2]
- Emerald Powder becomes Calcinated Emerald Powder.[2]
- Gold Powder becomes Calcinated Gold Powder.[2]
- Charcoal Powder becomes Activated Charcoal.[2]
How do you progress through PotionsMaster?
4 parts
Unverified The sources here show no quests involving this mod, so there is no quest-guided path to describe. The tiers below follow the in-pack recipes only.
Progression with this mod is a short crafting chain: make your tools, grind raw materials into powders, then smelt those powders into refined versions. Here's how it stacks up.[2]
First: the Pestle and Mortar
Every powder recipe in this pack uses both the Pestle and the Mortar, so make these first. The Mortar recipe is changed by the pack, so don't rely on the mod's default version of it.[2]

Next: Ender Powder and the powders that skip it
Ender Powder is the key ingredient for most of the other powders, so craft it early. It is ground from an ender pearl.[2]
Bismuth Powder and Charcoal Powder don't need Ender Powder, so you can make them right after your tools.[2]
Then: the Ender-powered powders
With Ender Powder in hand, you can grind a wide range of materials. All of these recipes use it:[2]
- Metals: Copper Powder, Gold Powder, Iron Powder, Nickel Powder, Silver Powder, Tin Powder and Zinc Powder.[2]
- Gems and minerals: Diamond Powder, Emerald Powder, Lapis Lazuli Powder, Quartz Powder, Redstone Powder and Coal Powder.[2]
- Netherite Powder, which is ground from netherite scrap.[2]

Finally: smelting into refined powders
The last step is smelting. Each metal, gem and mineral powder above, including bismuth and netherite, smelts into a Calcinated version, for example Calcinated Iron Powder or Calcinated Netherite Powder. Charcoal Powder is the exception: it smelts into Activated Charcoal instead.[2]
One example of the smelting step.
Charcoal Powder smelts into Activated Charcoal.
