What is PotionsMaster?

Same as in the All the Mods 10 6.0 guide

PotionsMaster is part of this pack, which ships version 0.7.1-packdev of the mod. It has been in the pack since at least version 2.25, so it's been part of the modlist for a while.[1]

Unverified No sources were available to confirm what the mod adds, how its mechanics work, who it's aimed at, or where it fits in the pack's progression. Check the items in JEI/EMI and the mod's own documentation until this section can be expanded. This site does hold All the Mods 11's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.

How do you get started with PotionsMaster?

4 parts

PotionsMaster in this pack comes down to a handful of crafted items: the Pestle, the Mortar, Ender Powder, and a family of oresight powders. The sources here only show the recipes, so this page walks through them in a sensible order and tells you where each one comes from.[2]

Start with the Pestle and the Mortar

Both are shaped crafting recipes that come from the mod itself, not from the pack. They are the first items to make because they are the mod's own named items, and the powders below sit alongside them.[2]

Then Ender Powder

Ender Powder is a shapeless crafting recipe, and it is also a mod recipe rather than something the pack added. It is the other item in the mod that is not an oresight powder.[2]

Oresight powders

This is the part the pack adds. It registers a shapeless crafting recipe for an oresight powder for each of these materials: coal, copper, diamond, emerald, gold, iron, lapis, netherite, quartz and redstone. Iron is a handy one to look at first, giving Iron Oresight Powder.[2]

The rest follow the same pattern, for example Coal Oresight Powder, Gold Oresight Powder and Diamond Oresight Powder.[2]

Calcinated powders

The pack also adds a blasting recipe for every one of those materials, and each produces a calcinated version of the powder. For iron that is Calcinated Iron Oresight Powder, and the same goes for the rest, up to Calcinated Netherite Oresight Powder.[2]

Blasting

    Recipe id: potionsmaster:iron_blasting

Tip: The oresight crafting recipes and the calcinated blasting recipes are both marked as added by the pack, so do not expect them to match the mod's defaults or a different modpack. The Pestle, Mortar and Ender Powder recipes are the mod's own.[2]

Unverified What the oresight and calcinated powders actually do, how the Mortar and Pestle are used, and why this order is best are not shown in the sources here. No quests in this pack involve the mod, and there is no guidebook or item description text for it, so the order above simply follows which recipes exist.

    How does PotionsMaster work?

    2 parts

I'll be upfront: the information available for this mod in this pack only covers crafting recipes. Nothing here explains machines, multiblocks, power, fluids or automation, so I'm keeping this section short instead of guessing.[2]

What the pack's recipes tell us

The mod adds a Mortar and a Pestle. Both are shaped crafting recipes that come from the mod itself, not from the pack. You can see them below.[2]

Ender Powder is a shapeless crafting recipe, also from the mod itself.[2]

Oresight powders and their calcinated versions

The pack adds a shapeless crafting recipe for each oresight powder, covering coal, copper, diamond, emerald, gold, iron, lapis, netherite, quartz and redstone. Iron is shown here as the example, and the other ore types follow the same pattern.[2]

Iron Oresight PowderAdded by the pack

    Crafting Shapeless

Iron is the example. Every other ore type has its own matching crafting recipe added by the pack.

Each of those ore types also has a pack-added blasting recipe that produces a calcinated powder, such as Calcinated Iron Oresight Powder alongside Iron Oresight Powder.[2]

    Blasting

Unverified What the Mortar and Pestle do when you use them, and what the oresight powders and their calcinated versions are used for, are not shown in the sources here. The pack has no config files for this mod, and no in-jar guidebook or lang descriptions were found for it.

How do you progress through PotionsMaster?

      3 parts

PotionsMaster doesn't have a long tier ladder in this pack. What the recipe data shows is a short chain: you make the tools, craft an oresight powder for an ore type, then calcinate it to get an upgraded version.[2]

      Your tools

The mod's own recipes cover the Pestle and the Mortar. Both are mod recipes, not pack additions. The mod also has its own recipe for Ender Powder.[2]

      Oresight powders

The pack adds a shapeless crafting recipe for an oresight powder for each of these materials: coal, copper, iron, gold, lapis, redstone, quartz, emerald, diamond and netherite. Iron is shown here as an example, producing Iron Oresight Powder. The other materials follow the same recipe pattern.[2]

      Crafting Shapeless

      Recipe id: potionsmaster:iron_crafting

      Calcinated powders

Every one of those powders also has a pack-added blasting recipe that produces a calcinated version. For iron, that gives you Calcinated Iron Oresight Powder. Blasting is the furnace-style recipe type, so this step happens in a blasting machine rather than at the crafting table.[2]

      Blasting

        Recipe id: potionsmaster:iron_blasting

The calcinated versions exist for every material in the list. The top end is Calcinated Netherite Oresight Powder, with Calcinated Diamond Oresight Powder and Calcinated Emerald Oresight Powder alongside the others.[2]

Tip: Use the recipe blocks on this page to see exactly what goes into each item. The oresight powder and calcinated powder recipes are added by the pack, so don't rely on what you remember from the standalone mod.[2]

Unverified The sources here do not show any quest involving PotionsMaster, so there is no quest-driven progression to follow for this mod in the pack's quest book.
