What is Advanced TFC Tech Unofficial?
Advanced TFC Tech Unofficial is part of this pack, and the version you get is 1.7 (AdvancedTFCTechUnofficial-1.7.jar). It isn't a new addition either. It has been in the pack since version 2.8a or earlier, so it's a long-standing part of the mod list.[1]
Unverified I couldn't confirm what the mod adds, who it is aimed at, or where it fits in the progression. There is no in-jar guidebook or platform description to draw on, and nothing I found places it on the ATM Star path or ties it to a quest in this pack. Treat any claims about its machines, recipes or balance as unconfirmed until they're checked in game.
How do you get started with Advanced TFC Tech Unofficial?
3 parts
Advanced TFC Tech adds machines for large-scale production. The first thing you'll deal with is the pirn, the small spool that goes into the Power Loom. The steps below follow the order of the in-pack recipes.[2][3]
First, make a Pirn
Every winded pirn starts from a plain Pirn, so this is the first thing to craft. In this pack it is made from treated wood and treated wood rods.[2]

Next, wind it for the cloth you want
The pack has a winded pirn for each cloth the Power Loom makes: Fiber-Winded Pirn for burlap, Wool-Winded Pirn for wool and Silk-Winded Pirn for silk. You craft each one from a plain pirn.[2]

The silk-winded pirn is wound with string.
The mod also has an advancement for crafting all the winded pirns, so making one of each is a good early goal.[3]
Then, turn pirns into cloth
The Power Loom takes a winded pirn plus more of the matching material and gives you cloth. Each of these recipes also returns a plain pirn, so you keep your spool.[2]

How does Advanced TFC Tech Unofficial work?
3 parts
The sources for this mod are thin, so this section sticks to what they confirm: the multiblock machines, the pirn and Power Loom chain, and the client-side texture settings.[3]
The multiblock machines
The mod's root advancement describes it as "Machines for large-scale production". Forming each of the Grist Mill, the Power Loom and the Thresher multiblocks has its own advancement.[3]
Other advancements hint at what these machines are for: obtaining a full stack of every grain, and obtaining a full stack of every flour. The sources don't say which machine produces which, so I won't guess at the exact processing chain.[3]
Pirns and the Power Loom
The Power Loom works with pirns. There is the plain Pirn and its winded versions: Fiber-Winded Pirn, Silk-Winded Pirn and Wool-Winded Pirn. The recipes are shown below. There is also an advancement described as "Craft all Winded Pirns".[2][3]

The pack has a Power Loom recipe for each cloth type: burlap, silk and wool. Each one takes the matching winded pirn and returns the plain pirn alongside the cloth.[2]

Custom loom recipes and textures
If you add your own Power Loom recipe with a custom in-progress texture, that texture must be listed in compatibility.additionalPowerLoomClothTextures. In this pack that list is empty.[4]
A custom pirn in a Power Loom recipe needs an entry in compatibility.additionalPowerLoomPirnTextures. Each entry is the pirn's registry name plus its texture location. This list is also empty in the pack.[4]
How do you progress through Advanced TFC Tech Unofficial?
3 parts
Unverified The sources for this guide include no quests for this mod, so there is no quest-driven tier order to follow. What follows is only the order the in-pack recipes imply.
Everything the pack's recipe dump shows for this mod is one short chain: craft a Pirn, wind it with a material, then run it through the power loom to get cloth. There are no tiers beyond that in the sources, so I'm not going to invent any.[2]
The pirn
The Pirn is the base item for everything else. It is crafted by hand, so you can make it before you touch any machine.[2]

Winding the pirn
Each cloth type has its own winded pirn. Pick the one that matches the cloth you want: Fiber-Winded Pirn for burlap, Wool-Winded Pirn for wool and Silk-Winded Pirn for silk. The recipes are below.[2]

The power loom
Power loom recipes turn a winded pirn, plus more of the matching material, into cloth. You get the empty pirn back each time, so one pirn can be rewound and reused.[2]

How does Advanced TFC Tech Unofficial work with other mods?
2 parts
In this pack, the clearest link between Advanced TFC Tech and another mod is cloth making. The mod's power loom produces TFC cloth: Burlap Cloth, Silk Cloth and Wool Cloth. Each of those loom recipes also returns an empty Pirn.[2]
Winding pirns
The loom recipes start from a wound pirn. The pack has crafting recipes that turn a plain pirn into a Fiber-Winded Pirn using Jute Fiber, or into a Wool-Winded Pirn using Wool Yarn.[2]

Power loom recipes
Burlap cloth uses a Fiber-Winded Pirn together with more Jute Fiber. Wool cloth uses a Wool-Winded Pirn together with more Wool Yarn. Silk cloth uses the Silk-Winded Pirn together with String.[2]

Which Advanced TFC Tech Unofficial config options matter?
1 part
Good news: the only config file for this mod that the pack gives us is the client one, and it's tiny. There's nothing here that changes how machines behave. Both options are about custom Power Loom textures, and the pack leaves both at their defaults (empty lists).[4]
Power Loom texture options
- compatibility.additionalPowerLoomClothTextures is set to an empty list in this pack. You only need it if a Power Loom recipe uses a custom "in_progress_texture". Those textures have to be added to this list.[4]
- compatibility.additionalPowerLoomPirnTextures is also an empty list. You only need it if a Power Loom recipe uses a custom "pirn" (the second item in the recipe's input list). In that case you add the pirn's registry name and its texture location as a pair.[4]
If you're not adding custom Power Loom recipes with your own textures, you can leave both options alone. The sources don't show any value the pack changed from the mod default, and I can't confirm any other config options for this mod.[4]
