What is wd's Selling Bin?
2 parts
Same as in the FTB Evolution 2 1.1.0 guide
wd's Selling Bin is a data-driven selling bin: you put items in and get currency back. This pack includes version 1.6-NEOFORGE-26.1.2 of it.[1][2]
The mod itself ships with no trades by default. The prices and currencies come from datapacks, which can be the built-in ones or your own. The mod's built-in datapacks can be picked on the world creation screen under Data Packs, or enabled in a world with the /datapack enable command.[1]
What the bin does
- Leftover from selling is stored inside the bin, so nothing is lost.[1]
- Hover an item and hold shift to see its price. You can change this behaviour in the in-game config under Mods > wd's Selling Bin > Config.[1]
- The bin has an auto-sell toggle. Hoppers and modded pipes can deposit items and pull out the selected currency, so you can automate it.[1]
- EMI and JEI are supported. Check the uses of the selling bin to see every sellable item and currency the server has registered.[1]
Prices and customization
Item prices are calculated with processors. These allow NBT-based valuing, for example when an item is damaged or enchanted. The mod's wiki lists the processors you can use directly in the datapack jsons.[1]
The mod also has a global sales multiplier in its config. It is meant for cases where a built-in datapack's prices feel too high or too low across the board.[1]
For other mods, the mod offers optional datapacks for Create: Numismatics coins, Lightman's Currency coins, Quality Food, [Let's Do] Brewery beers, [Let's Do] Vinery wines and Starcatcher fish values. Create: Numismatics bank cards can also send sales straight to your bank account.[1]
How do you get started with wd's Selling Bin?
4 parts
The wd's Selling Bin mod lets you swap your items for currency, and the first thing you need is the Selling Bin itself. Crafting it is quick, but there is one catch you should know about before you start collecting things to sell.[1][3]
First, craft the Selling Bin

Next, make sure a datapack is active
The mod does not include any trades by default. The prices and currencies come from datapacks, so without one the bin does nothing. If you open the bin and see a message that no currencies or sellable items are registered, that is what is going on.[1][4]
The mod ships a few built-in datapacks. You can pick them on the world creation screen in the Data Packs area, or turn one on inside a world with the /datapack enable command. There are also optional datapacks for Create: Numismatics coins and for Lightman's Currency coins.[1][4]
Then, see what is worth selling
- Hover over any item and hold shift to see its price. You can change this behaviour in the in-game mod config.[1]
- Check the uses of the Selling Bin in EMI or JEI. They list every sellable item and currency the server has registered.[1]
- Some prices change with the item itself. Depending on the datapack, durability, enchantments, food value, or the quality of certain foods, beers and wines can all affect what you get.[1][4]
Finally, sell
Put your items in the bin, choose a currency, then use Sell or Sell All. Anything left over after selling stays inside the bin, so nothing is lost.[1][4]
The bin also has an Auto-Sell toggle, and it works with hoppers and modded pipes, so you can feed items in and pull the chosen currency out automatically.[1][4]
How does wd's Selling Bin work?
7 parts
The Selling Bin from wd's Selling Bin lets you exchange items for currencies. It is data-driven: what you can sell, and what you get paid in, comes from datapacks rather than from the mod itself.[1]
It needs a datapack to do anything
The mod ships with no trades by default. The data files inside its jar for sellable item values and for currencies are both empty, and the bin's own screen warns that it does nothing without a datapack.[1][4][5][6]
You can turn a datapack on in a couple of ways. Pick one of the built-in datapacks on the world creation screen, in the data packs area, or run /datapack enable inside the world. The mod's wiki has premade datapacks and explains how to write your own.[1][4]

Using the bin
The screen has Sell and Sell All buttons, an Auto-Sell toggle and a Sell Sound option. You also choose which currency you are paid in. Anything left over after a sale stays stored in the bin, so nothing is lost.[1][4]
If you use Create: Numismatics, the bin has a Numismatic Bank Card slot. A bank card can automatically transfer your sales to your bank account.[1][4]
Automation
The bin supports hoppers and modded pipes. You can use them to deposit items and to take out the currency you selected. Combine that with the Auto-Sell toggle and you can build a hands-off selling line.[1]
How prices are worked out
Prices are calculated by processors, which allow value to depend on an item's NBT data, such as damage or enchantments. The bin's screen lists the processors that apply to an item:[1][4]
- Durability: the price is scaled by remaining durability.[4]
- Enchantments: the price goes up based on the enchantments.[4]
- Food: the price goes up with hunger and saturation.[4]
- Quality foods: the price goes up based on the quality.[4]
- Beer quality: the price goes up based on the beer's quality.[4]
- Wine age: the price goes up based on the wine's age.[4]
The mod has optional datapacks for Create: Numismatics coins, Lightman's Currency coins, Quality Food, [Let's Do] Brewery beers, [Let's Do] Vinery wines and Starcatcher fish values. The mod page also says you can write your own processors in a datapack.[1]
Checking prices
Hover over an item and hold shift to see its price. You can change this behaviour in the in-game config under Mods, then wd's Selling Bin, then Config. The mod also supports EMI and JEI: check the uses of the Selling Bin to see every sellable item and currency the server has registered.[1][4]
Breaking the bin
When the bin is broken, the dropped item keeps its custom name, its stored contents, its lock, its container loot and its stored value. This only applies when the broken block has its center state set to true.[7]
The mod also has a global sales multiplier in its config. It is meant for when a built-in datapack's prices feel too high or too low across the board.[1]
Unverified The sources here do not show the pack's value for the global sales multiplier. It is set in the mod's config, which is not included in the sources, so check it in-game under Mods, then wd's Selling Bin, then Config.
How do you progress through wd's Selling Bin?
3 parts
Same as in the FTB Evolution 2 1.1.0 guide
This one is short, because there is not much of a ladder to climb. The sources I have for wd's Selling Bin show a single block, the Selling Bin, and no upgraded versions of it. So there are no tiers to break down.[8]
Getting the Selling Bin
The Selling Bin has one crafting recipe in the pack, and it comes from the mod itself. Here it is as the site renders it.[8]
Crafting Shaped

| any wooden slab | Barrel | any wooden slab |
| any wooden slab | any wooden slab | any wooden slab |
Recipe id: selling_bin:selling_bin
The only recipe in the pack that makes a Selling Bin item.
What happens when you break it
When you break a Selling Bin, it drops itself and keeps its data. The dropped item carries over the custom name, the stored contents, the lock, the container loot and the stored value. You can pick a bin up without losing what is in it.[9]
No preset values in the mod's data
The mod's own data files for item currencies and item values are both empty in its jar. They set no built-in price list or currency ladder that could be split into stages.[10][11]
