What is Productive Metalworks?
Productive Metalworks is part of this pack. The version included is 26.1.2-1.17.0, shipped as the file productivemetalworks-26.1.2-1.17.0.jar.[1]
It was first included in All the Mods 11 0.0.23 or earlier, so it's not a recent addition and has been in the pack for a long time.[1]
Unverified The sources I had don't describe what Productive Metalworks does, who it suits, or how it fits into the pack's progression. There is no guidebook text, platform description or quest data for it. I can't confirm any link to the ATM Star path or any quests that involve it, so I'm not guessing. Check the in-game item list (JEI/EMI) for items from the productivemetalworks namespace to see what it adds. This site does hold All the Mods 11's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
How do you get started with Productive Metalworks?
3 parts
Productive Metalworks adds a Foundry that is run from a controller, plus casting blocks and a tap. The quest book has no quests for this mod, so your best guide is the recipes themselves. Here are the ones to look up first.[2][3]
Fire Clay
Fire Clay has its own shaped crafting recipe in this pack, so it makes a good first thing to craft.[2]

Fire bricks and Foundry parts
Fire bricks, controllers, drains, tanks, windows and capacitors all come in dye colors, such as Black Fire Bricks and Blue Fire Bricks. The colored versions have dye-based recipes in this pack, so you can pick whichever color you like.[2]

The Foundry Controller is also where upgrades go. One upgrade disables fluid alloying in the Foundry. Another speeds up melting and alloying, and you can install multiple of those. A second speed upgrade is described as twice as good as the other one.[3]
Tap and casting blocks
The Foundry Tap, the Casting Table and the Casting Basin each have a shaped crafting recipe in this pack.[2]

How does Productive Metalworks work?
3 parts
This page covers what the pack's tooltips and recipe list confirm about Productive Metalworks: the Foundry, its controller upgrades and the casting blocks.[2][3]
The Foundry and its parts
The mod's central machine is the Foundry, which is run through a Black Foundry Controller. The controller comes in other colors too. The recipe list also includes a Black Foundry Tank, a Black Foundry Drain, a Black Foundry Window and a Black Foundry Capacitor. Fire bricks such as Black Fire Bricks belong to the same family. The tooltips confirm that the Foundry melts and alloys.[2][3]
These parts come in colors such as black, blue, brown and cyan, and the recipe ids include dye-based crafting recipes for the colored versions. The sources here don't show the multiblock's shape or size, or what each part does inside it.[2]
Controller upgrades
The Foundry Controller accepts upgrades. The stability upgrade disables fluid alloying in the Foundry, which is useful if you don't want metals mixing into alloys.[3]
The time upgrade speeds up both melting and alloying, and multiple upgrades can be installed. A second, stronger time upgrade is described as twice as good as the other one.[3]
Casting
The pack has a Casting Table and a Casting Basin, each with its own crafting recipe. The sources here don't explain how they take molten metal or what they output.[2]

How do you progress through Productive Metalworks?
2 parts
I can't give you a confirmed tier-by-tier ladder for this mod in this pack. The data I have is a list of in-pack crafting recipes, and it doesn't say which items unlock which stage. So this section covers what you can craft, and I'm not going to guess at an order.[2]
Unverified No quests in this pack are confirmed to involve this mod, and it is not confirmed to be on any main quest path. Don't count on a quest telling you what to build first.
What you can craft
- Foundry structure parts: there are recipes for fire bricks, controllers, tanks, drains, windows and capacitors, for example Black Fire Bricks, Black Foundry Controller and Black Foundry Capacitor.[2]
- Colour variants: these parts come in several colours, including blue, brown, cyan, gray, green, light blue, light gray, lime and magenta. Each of those has dye-based crafting recipes.[2]
- Black is the exception in what I can see. Its fire bricks, controller, drain, tank and window also have direct recipes alongside the dye ones.[2]
- Meat Ingot is craftable in this pack too, with separate recipes for making it from a block and from nuggets.[2]
In-pack recipes for the core pieces
These are the basic building blocks: Fire Clay, Casting Table, Casting Basin, Foundry Tap and Liquid Heating Coil. Their recipes are rendered below exactly as they work in this pack.[2]

How does Productive Metalworks work with other mods?
1 part
The one connection I can confirm between Productive Metalworks and another mod in this pack is with Productive Bees, and it happens through melting. The melting recipes for honeycomb give you Honey from Productive Bees and Molten Wax from Productive Metalworks itself.[2]
Melting honeycomb
Both recipes use the Productive Metalworks item melting recipe type and give the same outputs. They are separate recipes for honeycomb and for the honeycomb block, and each one produces both Honey and Molten Wax.[2]
