What is Crafting on a Stick?
3 parts
Crafting on a Stick lets you use crafting stations without placing them in the world. Each station comes as a "on a stick" item, and you use the item in hand to open the workbench.[1]
Stations you get
The mod adds a stick version of each of these workbenches:[1]
- Crafting Table[1]
- Anvil[1]
- Loom[1]
- Grindstone[1]
- Cartography Table[1]
- Stonecutter[1]
- Smithing Table[1]
Curios support
The mod is compatible with Curios. Put your favorite workbench on a stick in the designated curios slot and press the keybind to open it. The default key is V.[1]
In this pack
This pack ships Crafting on a Stick 26.1-1.1 (the NeoForge build). It has been part of the pack since version 0.0.1 or earlier.[2]
How do you get started with Crafting on a Stick?
3 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 11 0.8.0-beta guide
Crafting on a Stick lets you craft items without placing a crafting table on the ground. You use the stick versions of the workbenches in hand to open them.[1]
Start with the crafting table
Make Crafting Table first. The pack has changed this recipe compared with the mod's default, so use the exact in-pack recipe below.[3]
Crafting Shaped
| Empty slot | any crafting table player workstations |
| Stick | Empty slot |
Recipe id: crafting_on_a_stick:crafting_table
The pack changes this recipe, so it is not the mod's default.
Then add the other stations
The mod adds more workbenches on a stick besides the crafting table. Craft whichever ones you actually use, there is no need to make them all at once.[1]
- Stonecutter is the stonecutter on a stick.[1][3]
- Smithing Table is the smithing table on a stick.[1][3]
- Grindstone is the grindstone on a stick.[1][3]
- Loom is the loom on a stick.[1][3]
- Cartography Table is the cartography table on a stick.[1][3]
- Anvil is the anvil on a stick.[1][3]

Using them
How does Crafting on a Stick work?
3 parts
Crafting on a Stick is a simple mod with no machines, multiblocks, power or fluids to manage. It turns vanilla workstations into items you carry, so you can use them without placing a block on the ground. The sources here don't show anything beyond that, so this section is short.[1]
Using a workstation on a stick
Hold one of the items and use it in hand to open that workstation's screen. The mod adds a stick version of each of these: crafting table, anvil, loom, grindstone, cartography table, stonecutter and smithing table.[1]
- Crafting Table[1][4]
- Anvil[1][4]
- Loom[1][4]
- Grindstone[1][4]
- Cartography Table[1][4]
- Stonecutter[1][4]
- Smithing Table[1][4]
The mod also has Chipped Anvil and Damaged Anvil items, each with its own crafting recipe in the pack.[4][5]
Curios slot and keybind
The mod is compatible with Curios. Put your favourite workstation on a stick in the designated curios slot and press the keybind to open it. The default key is V.[1]
The mod also has a selection wheel screen, which shows the message "You don't have any tool" when you have no tool to pick from. The sources here don't explain how the wheel is opened or used.[4]
Crafting them
Each item is made by crafting a stick together with the matching workstation. The recipes below are the exact in-pack versions.[1][5]
Crafting Shaped
| Empty slot | any crafting table player workstations |
| Stick | Empty slot |
Recipe id: crafting_on_a_stick:crafting_table
The pack changed this recipe: where it asks for a crafting table, it accepts any item in the c:player_workstations/crafting_tables tag.

How do you progress through Crafting on a Stick?
2 parts
Crafting on a Stick doesn't have tiers in this pack, at least not in anything I can show you. What it gives you is a set of portable workstation items, each with its own in-pack recipe, and you'll find those recipes below.[5]
The items are Crafting Table, Smithing Table, Stonecutter, Loom, Grindstone, Cartography Table, Anvil, Chipped Anvil and Damaged Anvil.[5]
The crafting table: the one the pack changes
Of the nine recipes, only the crafting table one is changed by the pack. The pack's script swaps the plain vanilla crafting table in that recipe for the c:player_workstations/crafting_tables tag, so any crafting table in that tag is accepted there.[5][6]

What changed in Crafting on a Stick between versions?
Crafting on a Stick has been in All the Mods 11 since 0.0.1 or earlier, and 0.10.0-beta ships version 26.1-1.1 of it.[2]
The one change recorded for that version is a bug fix: item deletion bugs were fixed in 26.1-1.1. Since 0.10.0-beta includes that version, the pack has this fix.[2][7]
