What is Crafting on a Stick?
2 parts
Crafting on a Stick lets you use crafting stations without placing them in the world. You hold a workbench on a stick in your hand and use it to open that station's screen, so you can craft anywhere without carrying a full block around.[1]
The mod adds a stick version of each of these stations:[1]
- Crafting Table[1]
- Anvil[1]
- Loom[1]
- Grindstone[1]
- Cartography Table[1]
- Stonecutter[1]
- Smithing Table[1]
Curios support
The mod is compatible with Curios. You can put your favorite workbench on a stick in the designated curios slot and press a keybind to open it. The mod's default for that keybind is V.[1]
In this pack
The pack includes Crafting on a Stick 26.1-1.1, the NeoForge build, and it has been part of the pack since version 0.0.1 or earlier.[2]
How do you get started with Crafting on a Stick?
3 parts
Crafting on a Stick lets you craft items without placing a crafting table on the ground. You use the stick versions of the workbenches in hand to open them.[1]
Start with the crafting table
Make Crafting Table first. The pack has changed this recipe compared with the mod's default, so use the exact in-pack recipe below.[3]
Crafting Shaped
| Empty slot | any crafting table player workstations |
| Stick | Empty slot |
Recipe id: crafting_on_a_stick:crafting_table
The pack changes this recipe, so it is not the mod's default.
Then add the other stations
The mod adds more workbenches on a stick besides the crafting table. Craft whichever ones you actually use, there is no need to make them all at once.[1]
- Stonecutter is the stonecutter on a stick.[1][3]
- Smithing Table is the smithing table on a stick.[1][3]
- Grindstone is the grindstone on a stick.[1][3]
- Loom is the loom on a stick.[1][3]
- Cartography Table is the cartography table on a stick.[1][3]
- Anvil is the anvil on a stick.[1][3]

Using them
How does Crafting on a Stick work?
3 parts
Crafting on a Stick adds workbenches on a stick, so you can use a station without placing a block in the world. There is not much to it beyond that, which is the point.[1]
The stations it covers are the Crafting Table, Anvil, Loom, Grindstone, Cartography Table, Stonecutter and Smithing Table.[1][3]
Using a station
Use one of these items in your hand to open that workbench. You don't have to put it on the ground first.[1]
Curios support
The mod is compatible with Curios. Put your favorite workbench on a stick in the designated curios slot, then press the keybind to open it. The default key is V.[1]
Crafting the items
The pack changes the recipe for the Crafting Table. The recipe below is the one this pack uses, not the mod's default.[3]

| Stick | Empty slot |
Recipe id: crafting_on_a_stick:crafting_table
This recipe is changed by the pack.
The recipes for the other stations are the mod's own, unchanged by the pack. The Chipped Anvil and Damaged Anvil also have their own items and recipes.[3]

How do you progress through Crafting on a Stick?
2 parts
The sources I have don't show a formal tier ladder for Crafting on a Stick in this pack. What they do show is the list of items you can craft: Crafting Table, Stonecutter, Loom, Cartography Table, Grindstone, Smithing Table, Anvil, Chipped Anvil and Damaged Anvil.[3]
The pack's change to the crafting table
The pack changes the recipe for the Crafting Table. Don't rely on the mod's default recipe for it, because the one below is what this pack uses.[3]

The other recipes
