          How does Applied Thaumaturge work?

          3 parts

          Applied Thaumaturge connects Thaumaturge essentia to your ME network. It adds essentia storage cells, a terminal, interface, buses and a level emitter, plus arcane crafting and inscribing machines. The sources here only explain parts of how these work, so this section sticks to what they confirm.[3]

          Essentia storage

          Essentia cells come in four sizes: 1k ME Essentia Storage Cell, 4k ME Essentia Storage Cell, 16k ME Essentia Storage Cell and 64k ME Essentia Storage Cell. The storage components come in the same four sizes, and there is a separate ME Essentia Cell Housing item.[3]

          In this pack the housing and the 1k and 16k components are made at the arcane workbench. The cells themselves are plain shapeless crafting recipes.[2]

          Moving and watching essentia

          The mod has an ME Essentia Import Bus, an ME Essentia Export Bus and an ME Essentia Storage Bus. The mod's own research text says the buses move essentia in and out of your network, but they act blindly and cannot react when an aspect runs low or floods.[3]

          The storage bus is a shapeless arcane workbench recipe.

          That is the job of the ME Essentia Level Emitter. It watches the stored quantity of a single aspect and emits a redstone signal once it crosses a threshold you set. You choose whether it compares as above or below, exactly like the item level emitter.[3]

          The ME Essentia Interface is a block that drops itself when broken. In this pack it is made by infusion rather than at the arcane workbench.[2][3][4]

            Arcane crafting and inscribing

            The ME Arcane Crafting Terminal is the ME Arcane Crafting Terminal, and its screen is labelled "Arcane Crafting". The ME Arcane Inscriber has its own screen labelled "Arcane Inscribing". Both are shapeless arcane workbench recipes in this pack.[2][3]

            The Arcane Assembler and the ME Infusion Provider are blocks that drop themselves when broken. Both are made by infusion, and the assembler's screen has a progress readout shown as a percentage.[2][3][5][6]

                Vis is handled with a Vis Relay Interface. The mod shows messages for "Vis Relay linked" and "Vis Relay unlinked", and a readout of stored primal vis in the form current / maximum.[3]

                Applied Thaumaturge is the bridge between Thaumaturge and ME networks. In this pack its items are made at the arcane workbench, through infusion, and in a normal crafting grid.                 Arcane workbench basics

                The first group is everything made at the arcane workbench.                       Essentia storage comes in 1k, 4k, 16k and 64k sizes. For each size there is a storage component made at the arcane workbench with a shaped recipe. There are also an ME Essentia Storage Cell and a Portable Essentia Cell, both made with shapeless crafting recipes.[2]

                      How does Applied Thaumaturge work with other mods?

                      The only cross-mod links the pack's recipes confirm for Applied Thaumaturge go through Applied Energistics 2. They are four recipes, one for each tier of portable essentia cell: 1k, 4k, 16k and 64k.[2]

                      All four use the recipe type ae2:storage_cell_disassembly, which belongs to Applied Energistics 2, and they come from a mod recipe. Each one mixes AE2 items with Applied Thaumaturge items, namely the ME Essentia Cell Housing and the matching essentia storage component for that tier.[2]
