What is AllTheOres?
AllTheOres is part of this pack, and the version you get here is 4.0.4 (alltheores-4.0.4.jar). It has been in the pack since at least the very first releases, so it's a long-standing part of the mod lineup.[1]
Unverified The sources I have don't describe what AllTheOres adds, who it is aimed at, or where it fits in this pack's progression. They also don't confirm any quests or an ATM Star path involving it. I'd rather leave those details out than guess, so check them in-game before relying on them.
How do you get started with AllTheOres?
5 parts
Welcome to AllTheOres! The recipe list for this pack shows a clear starting path: craft a hammer, turn ores into dust, blend alloy dusts, then make plates, rods and gears. Here it is in order.[2]
Craft an ore hammer
Start with the Copper Ore Hammer. It is a shaped crafting recipe, and the dust and gem recipes in the next step sit in a hammer group in the pack's recipe list, so this is the tool the rest of the mod is built around.[2]

Hammer your metals into dust
The pack has hammer recipes that give Copper Dust from ore, from raw copper and from an ingot. Aluminum follows the same pattern and gives Aluminum Dust from ore, from Raw Aluminum and from an ingot.[2]
Crafting Shapeless
- any ore hammer
- any copper raw material
Recipe id: alltheores:crafting/hammer/copper/dust_from_raw
Copper has matching hammer recipes for ore and for ingots too.
Gem-type materials get hammer recipes as well. You can turn Cinnabar into Cinnabar Dust, and there is also a hammer recipe that gives cinnabar from its ore.[2]
Crafting Shapeless

- any cinnabar gem

Blend alloy dusts
Dust is also where alloys begin. The pack has shapeless alloy blending recipes for Bronze Dust, Brass Dust, Constantan Dust, Electrum Dust, Invar Dust, Steel Dust, Lumium Dust, Signalum Dust and Enderium Dust. Bronze is a nice one to try first.[2]

Some alloys can also be hammered from an ingot into dust, for example bronze, brass and constantan.[2]
Craft plates, rods and gears
Next come the basic building parts. Copper, gold, diamond, aluminum, bronze, brass, constantan, electrum and enderium each have crafting recipes for a plate, a rod and a gear. Copper is the easy place to start: Copper Plate, Copper Rod and Copper Gear.[2]

Compress and split your metals
To save inventory space, aluminum, bronze, brass, constantan, electrum and enderium each have recipes to craft ingots into blocks and back, and to split ingots into nuggets and rebuild them. Aluminum also compresses Raw Aluminum into Raw Aluminum Block, and cinnabar and fluorite have gem and block recipes too.[2]

How does AllTheOres work?
3 parts
Here's the honest picture for this section: the sources I have for AllTheOres only cover recipes. They don't describe any machines, multiblocks, power use or fluid handling, so there's no machine system for me to walk you through here.[2]
What the recipes show
The recipes I can see for this mod are all made in the regular crafting grid, either shaped or shapeless. Aluminum, brass and bronze each have crafting recipes for ingot to block, block to ingot, ingot to nugget and nugget to ingot. Constantan has the block, ingot and nugget conversions in the visible list too. Aluminum, brass and bronze also have plate and rod recipes, and aluminum, brass, bronze and constantan have gear recipes.[2]
Aluminum also has recipes that turn Raw Aluminum into a Raw Aluminum Block and back again. Cinnabar works the same way: gems compress into a Cinnabar Block, and the block breaks back down into Cinnabar.[2]

Alloy blending by hand
Alloy dusts are made through shapeless crafting recipes, not a machine. The recipe list includes blending recipes for Brass Dust, Bronze Dust, Constantan Dust, Electrum Dust, Enderium Dust, Invar Dust, Lumium Dust, Signalum Dust and Steel Dust.[2]

Ore hammers
The recipe list also includes shaped crafting recipes for the Copper Ore Hammer and the Bronze Ore Hammer. The sources don't say what these hammers do in this pack, so check in game before building a plan around them.[2]

Unverified No in-jar guidebook, mod description text or config files for AllTheOres are available as sources here, so any machine, power or automation behaviour tied to this mod is not shown by the sources. Check the mod in game for those details.
How do you progress through AllTheOres?
4 parts
AllTheOres adds a big spread of metals, alloys and gems. The recipe data for this pack gives us a clear picture of what you can craft, so this section walks through the stages those recipes suggest, in the order you're likely to reach them.[2]
Unverified The sources here do not show any quest chapter or guidebook entry covering this mod, so the stage order below is a reading of the in-pack recipes, not an official progression.
Ore hammers
Start with the hammers. The pack has crafting recipes for the Copper Ore Hammer and the Bronze Ore Hammer. Check the recipe blocks below for the exact in-pack ingredients.[2]

The hammer recipe group is where you turn ores, raw materials and ingots into dusts. Copper, iron, gold, lead, nickel, iridium and aluminum each have hammer recipes for dust from ore, from raw and from ingot, and osmium has them for ore and ingot. For example, Copper Dust and Iron Dust can both be made this way.[2]
Crafting Shapeless
- any ore hammer
- any copper raw material

Hammers also work on gems. Cinnabar and fluorite have hammer recipes that give you the gem from ore and the dust from the gem, and diamond has hammer recipes for dust from both gem and ore.[2]
Alloy dusts
Once you have base dusts, the pack has alloy blending recipes for Bronze Dust, Brass Dust, Constantan Dust, Electrum Dust, Invar Dust, Steel Dust, Signalum Dust, Lumium Dust and Enderium Dust. The recipe blocks below show the exact in-pack versions.[2]

Alloy ingots are covered too. Bronze, brass, constantan, electrum and enderium each have recipes that turn nuggets into ingots, ingots into nuggets, and ingots into blocks and back again.[2]
Plates, gears and rods
The mod also adds plates, gears and rods for copper, gold, aluminum, bronze, brass, constantan, electrum, enderium and diamond. Examples include Copper Plate, Bronze Gear and Electrum Rod. The recipe blocks below show the exact in-pack versions of some of them.[2]

Storage and compression
For storage, the alloys and aluminum have block, ingot and nugget conversion recipes. Aluminum also has raw recipes, so you can compact Raw Aluminum into a Raw Aluminum Block and back. The gems Cinnabar and Fluorite can be compressed into blocks and unpacked again.[2]
