What is AE2 Import Export Card?

3 parts

Same as in the All the Mods 10 2.6 guide

This mod adds three cards for Applied Energistics 2: an Import card, an Export card and a Block Picker card. They work through your wireless terminal, so you can move items between your inventory and your ME system without walking back to a terminal block.[1]

The pack ships version 1.21-1.4.0 of the mod, and it has been in the pack since version 0.32 or earlier.[2]

What each card does

  • Import card: takes items from specific slots of your inventory and dumps them into your ME system. You set a filter, and a fuzzy card is supported. Switching the filter to a blacklist needs an inverter card.[1]
  • Export card: works the same way, but pulls items from your ME system into your inventory. You drag an item into a slot at the top and set the amount you want. An acceleration card raises the transfer speed from 1 item to an entire stack, and a crafting card automatically requests and crafts items that aren't currently available.[1]
  • Block Picker card: aim at a block and press the Pick Block keybind. If the matching block is in your network, it gets extracted into your inventory.[1]

Who it's for

It's for you if you already run an ME network and want to restock or clear your inventory on the go, or grab building blocks straight from storage while you build.[1]

Setting it up

Open your wireless terminal and put the Import or Export card in the slot on the right. To configure it, click one of the buttons on the left side. Clicking slots toggles a checkmark, and right clicking a slot clears it back to X.[1]

Unverified The sources I have don't show where this mod fits in the pack's progression, and they don't show any quests or an ATM Star path involving it. The pack's exact card recipes and any pack-specific changes to them are also unconfirmed here.

How do you get started with AE2 Import Export Card?

4 parts

This mod adds an Import Card and an Export Card for Applied Energistics 2. They move items between your own inventory and your ME system, and you use them from a wireless terminal. It also has a Block Picker card, which can extract the block you are currently looking at from your network. Start with the Import Card, then make the Export Card.[1]

Make the Import Card

The Import Card can take items from specific slots of your inventory and dump them into your ME system.[1][3]

In this pack the Import Card is a shaped crafting recipe that comes from the mod itself.

Make the Export Card

The Export Card works the same way in reverse: it can pull items from your ME system into your inventory.[1]

In this pack the Export Card is also a shaped crafting recipe that comes from the mod itself.

Put a card in your wireless terminal

  1. Open your wireless terminal and add the Import or Export Card in the slot on the right.[1]
  2. Click one of the buttons on the left side to configure the card.[1]
  3. Click slots in your inventory to put a checkmark on them. For the Import Card, those are the slots it takes items from. You can also drag items to the top to change the filter.[1]

For the Export Card, drag the item you want from your inventory into one of the slots at the top. Then click a slot in your inventory to set the amount you want. Right clicking clears it back to X.[1]

Optional upgrades

  • Fuzzy card: supported by both the Import Card and the Export Card.[1]
  • Inverter card: needed to change the filter to a blacklist instead of a whitelist.[1][3]
  • Acceleration card (Export Card): can improve the transfer speed from 1 to an entire stack of items.[1]
  • Crafting card (Export Card): used to automatically request and craft items that are currently not available.[1]

How does AE2 Import Export Card work?

6 parts

According to the mod's project page, these cards add item moving to your Applied Energistics 2 wireless terminal. Instead of walking to a terminal, you slot a card into the wireless terminal and move items between your inventory and your ME system.[1]

Import Card

The project page describes the Import Card as taking items in specific slots of your inventory and dumping them into your ME system.[1][3]

Export Card

The project page says the Export Card works exactly the same way in reverse: it pulls items from your ME system into your inventory.[1][3]

To say what it should pull, drag an item from your inventory into one of the slots at the top. Then click a slot in your inventory to set the amount you want there. Right clicking clears the slot back to X.[1]

Setting a card up

This is the setup flow as the project page describes it:[1]

  1. Per the project page, open your wireless terminal and put the Import or Export card in the slot on the right.[1]
  2. The project page says to click one of the buttons on the left side to configure the card.[1]
  3. As described on the project page, clicking slots makes a checkmark.[1]
  4. The project page says to drag items from your inventory to the top to change the filter.[1]

Filters and upgrade cards

The filter screen has a whitelist and a blacklist mode. The project page states that changing the filter to blacklist requires an inverter card.[1][3]

  • Fuzzy card: the project page says it is supported on both the Import Card and the Export Card.[1]
  • Acceleration card (Export Card): the project page says it improves the transfer speed from 1 to an entire stack of items.[1]
  • Crafting card (Export Card): used to automatically request and craft items that are currently not available.[1]

Block Picker Card

The mod also adds a Block Picker card. Per the project page, you aim at the block you are currently looking at and press the "Pick Block" keybind. If the matching block is available in your network, it is extracted into your inventory.[1]

In this pack

Both the Import Card and the Export Card are shaped crafting recipes that come from the mod itself, as listed in the pack's recipe dump. The pack has no config files for this mod, so everything above is how the mod's project page describes it.[4]

How do you progress through AE2 Import Export Card?

2 parts

This mod has no tier ladder in the pack. The recipe sources show just two items from AE2 Import Export Card: the Import Card and the Export Card. Each one has its own shaped crafting recipe, and neither is an upgrade of the other.[4]

Both cards are crafted directly from their own recipes, so you can make either one as soon as you can gather what the recipe blocks above show.[4]

Unverified The sources here do not show any quest in the pack that involves this mod, so there is no quest chapter or quest order to follow for it.

What changed in AE2 Import Export Card between versions?

1 part

All the Mods 11 0.8.0-beta ships AE2 Import Export Card 26.1.2-2.1.0, so everything below is already in your pack. The mod has been in the pack since All the Mods 11 0.0.15 or earlier. These notes come from the mod's own changelogs.[5]

Mod releases, newest first

  • 2.1.0: Capacity Cards now add additional filter slots to Import/Export Cards. This release also added ru_ru and fr_fr translations.[6]
  • 2.0.2: AE2 Wireless Terminals compatibility was re-added.[7]
  • 2.0.1: Applied Flux compatibility was re-added, and a ru_ru translation was added.[8]
  • 2.0.0: The port to 26.1.2. Applied Flux, Applied Mekanism and AE2WTLIB support was dropped for the moment, to be re-added once those mods were ported.[9]

The Capacity Card change in 2.1.0 is the one you will notice in play, since it gives your cards more filter slots. The changelogs I have do not mention Applied Mekanism support coming back after 2.0.0, so I can't say whether it has returned.[6][9]
