YUNG's Better End Island in All the Mods 10

YUNG's Better End Island overhauls the main End island, the one where the dragon fight takes place. The obsidian pillars, End gateways, spawn platform and the portal in the middle of the island have all been redesigned.^[1]

With Progressive Bosses, the reset command may not properly reset fight progress, so you should also run /progressivebosses difficulty set <player> dragon 0. Resummoning the dragon

Using it on an existing world

If your world already has an End, run the /end_island reset command while you're in the End. It tries to reset the dragon fight to its initial state and replace the old portal and pillars with the redesigned versions. Back up your world first, because it does some major things behind the scenes. Deleting your End dimension files is not enough on its own, you still need the command.^[1]

Options you can tweak

The mod has settings for whether the bell sound plays before the dragon is summoned, whether the dragon drops an egg every time it's defeated, and whether the central tower spawns initially and on resummon. Simply deleting the End dimension files is not enough, you still need to run the command.^[1]

If the portal or tower doesn't spawn properly afterwards, for example the portal appears under the island, you can try the full command /end_island reset true to place the portal on the surface again. Back up your world first for this one too.^[1]

Compatibility notes that affect the fight

• With Endergetic Expansion, the End Gateways in the Outer End come from Endergetic Expansion instead of this mod, but everything should still work.^[1]
• With Progressive Bosses, the reset command may not properly reset the fight history and progress on its side. If you use the command, also run /progressivebosses difficulty set <player> dragon 0.^[1]
• With Better End, the island is smaller than in vanilla, so obsidian spikes spawn closer to the center. If any spikes are missing, try the reset command while in the End.^[1]
• With Savage Ender Dragon, the crystals this mod adds in the center may rarely respawn if crystal respawning from Savage Ender Dragon is enabled.^[1]
