What is Storage Delight?

3 parts

Storage Delight is a furniture add-on for Farmer's Delight. It gives you tidy storage-style pieces that make your kitchen, or any other room, look better while keeping your essentials organized.[1]

What you get

The mod is all about building and decoration. These are the furniture types it lists:[1]

  • Drawers[1]
  • Drawers with Doors[1]
  • Drawers with Books[1]
  • Small Drawers[1]
  • Bookshelves with Doors[1]
  • Glass Cabinets[1]
  • Cabinets with Glass Doors[1]
  • Single Door Cabinets[1]

Who it's for

If you like detailed builds, especially kitchens and farmhouse-style interiors, this mod is for you. It doesn't add big technology or progression gates. It simply gives you more furniture to work with.[1]

In this pack

The pack ships Storage Delight version 26.07.01a-1.21-neoforge. It was first included in version 2.25 or earlier of the pack, so it has been around for a long time.[2]

Unverified The sources I have don't show where Storage Delight fits into the pack's progression, and they don't show any crafting recipes, config options or quests for it. Check the recipes in-game before you plan a build around specific pieces. This site does hold All the Mods 10's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.

How do you get started with Storage Delight?

4 parts

Storage Delight is an extra furniture mod for Farmer's Delight. It exists to make your kitchen, or any other space, look better while you keep your essentials organized. Everything in it is a craftable furniture block, so getting started means picking a wood type and working up from the simplest piece.[1]

First, make a basic drawer

Start with a plain drawer, since it is the simplest piece in the set. The recipe dump shows the same drawer recipe for acacia, bamboo, birch and cherry, so pick the wood that fits your build. Here is the acacia one as an example: Acacia Drawer.[3]

The other woods in the recipe dump follow the same pattern with their own wood type.

Next, try the door variants

Next up are the doored pieces. The mod's feature list has drawers with doors and single door cabinets, and both have their own recipes in the pack.[1][3]

Then, books and glass

For a library feel, make Acacia Drawer with Books or Acacia Bookshelf with Door. If you would rather show your things off, Acacia Cabinet with Glass Doors is the glass-front option.[1][3]

Finally, countertop cabinets

The countertop cabinets come in polished andesite, polished blackstone, polished deepslate, polished diorite, polished tuff and stone bricks versions. In this pack, the blackstone, diorite and stone bricks recipes are added by the pack. The andesite, deepslate and tuff recipes are the mod's own.[3]

How does Storage Delight work?

4 parts

Quick heads-up before we dive in: Storage Delight is a furniture add-on for Farmer's Delight, made to make your kitchen or any other space look better while helping you organize your essentials. The sources for this pack don't describe any machines, multiblocks, power or fluid handling for it, so this section is short.[1]

What the mod adds

The project page lists these furniture types as its features:[1]

The recipe dump shows these pieces in acacia and bamboo variants. Part of the recipe list is cut off in the dump, so other wood types are not confirmed here.[3]

Crafting the furniture

Every recipe shown in the dump is a normal shaped crafting recipe, so there is no machine step. Here is the basic drawer as an example.[3]

The cabinet with glass doors takes a glass pane from the shared glass pane tag, so any pane in that tag works in the recipe.[3]

Countertop cabinets and the pack's changes

Cabinets also come with different stone countertops. In the recipes shown, the polished andesite, polished deepslate and polished tuff versions are the mod's own recipes. The polished blackstone, polished diorite and stone bricks countertop versions are added by the pack, for both acacia and bamboo.[3]

Tip: Check the recipe viewer for other wood types. Only the acacia and bamboo recipes appear in the dump used for this guide.[3]

What the sources don't show

Unverified The sources here do not show how much each piece stores or how it behaves with hoppers or pipes. The mod has no in-jar guidebook, no lang descriptions and no config files in this pack, so check these details in-game before you build automation around the furniture.

How do you progress through Storage Delight?

4 parts

In the recipes this pack shows for Storage Delight, there is no upgrade chain to climb. You get furniture-style storage blocks, and your choices are which wood you build with and which style you want. Every recipe shown is a shaped crafting table recipe.[3]

Unverified The sources here show no quests for this mod, so any quest order for it is unverified. Check the pack's quest book if you want to know whether it places the mod anywhere.

Starting with the basic pieces

The simplest pieces are the drawers and single door cabinets. Each wood has its own set, for example Acacia Drawer, Acacia Drawer with Door and Acacia Single Door Cabinet. These are the mod's own recipes in this pack, so you can make them as soon as you have the wood.[3]

The basic drawer is a mod recipe in this pack, and the other woods follow the same pattern.

Bookshelf styles

The book-themed variants, such as Acacia Drawer with Books and Acacia Bookshelf with Door, build on the basic pieces. Their recipes include a vanilla bookshelf, so check the recipe below.[3]

Cabinets with glass doors and countertops

The cabinets are the most decorated pieces. You can make a glass-door version, like Birch Cabinet with Glass Doors. You can also make versions with a countertop of polished andesite, polished blackstone, polished deepslate, polished diorite, polished tuff or stone bricks.[3]

What the pack changed

Some countertop recipes are not the mod's own. For acacia, bamboo, birch, cherry and crimson, the polished blackstone, polished diorite and stone bricks countertop cabinets are marked as added by the pack. The polished andesite, polished deepslate and polished tuff versions are the mod's own recipes. For example, Crimson Cabinet with Polished Blackstone Countertop is a pack recipe.[3]

Tip: In the recipes shown here, acacia, bamboo, birch, cherry and crimson all get the same set of variants. Pick the wood that matches your build.[3]

Which All the Mods 10 quests use Storage Delight?

3 parts

Storage Delight appears in one quest chapter, "Building Tips", which has 91 quests. The quest is "Storage Delight" quest, and it is an item task.[4]

Where it sits in the chapter

The chapter opens with "Building Tips!" quest. From there you move to "Decoration!" quest, which points out that modded Minecraft has dozens of mods for decoration. Next comes "Decor Mods!" quest, a group of quests about mods the author found perfect for decorating your house or base.[4]

Storage Delight is one of the quests that unlock after Decor Mods!. So the order is Building Tips!, then Decoration!, then Decor Mods!, then Storage Delight.[4]

What the quest tells you

The quest describes the mod as all about item storage, but made to look pretty. It says there are dozens of drawers with different designs and colors, and that they have the same use and space as a barrel.[4]

Its neighbours in the Decor Mods group

Storage Delight shares its parent quest with several other decoration mods. These are "Macaw's Furniture" quest, "Handcrafted" quest, "Farmer's Delight" quest, "Cooking for Blockheads" quest, "Sushi Go Crafting" quest, "Macaw's Holidays" quest, "Macaw's Mods" quest and "Mr Crayfish's Mods" quest. Nothing else is listed as coming after the Storage Delight quest.[4]
