What is Storage Delight?

2 parts

Storage Delight is a furniture add-on for Farmer's Delight. It gives you extra storage-style furniture to make your kitchen, or any other room, look better and feel more organized.[1]

The mod is mostly about building and decorating. If you like kitting out your base with good-looking furniture that also looks the part for keeping things tidy, this one's for you.[1]

What you get

  • Drawers, including Drawers with Doors, Drawers with Books and Small Drawers[1]
  • Bookshelves with Doors[1]
  • Glass Cabinets and Cabinets with Glass Doors[1]
  • Single Door Cabinets[1]

In All the Mods 10

All the Mods 10 5.4 ships Storage Delight version 25.06.24-1.21-neoforge. It's been in the pack since version 2.25 or earlier, so it's a long-standing part of the modlist.[2]

Unverified How much each piece of furniture holds, how the pieces are crafted in this pack, and whether they link up with other storage mods could not be confirmed from the available sources.

How do you get started with Storage Delight?

4 parts

Storage Delight is all about furniture: extra pieces made for Farmer's Delight that make your kitchen, or any other space, look better while keeping your essentials tidy. It's a great first mod to play with because you can start building with it as soon as you have some wood.[1]

In All the Mods 10 5.4, every Storage Delight recipe listed here is a regular shaped crafting recipe, and each one is marked as the mod's own recipe. The recipe cards below show exactly what goes where in this pack.[3]

Step 1: Pick your wood

Each furniture piece comes in several wood styles, and every style has its own recipe. You'll find acacia, bamboo, birch, cherry, crimson, dark oak and jungle versions across the drawer, cabinet and bookshelf families. Some pieces also come in mangrove, oak, spruce and warped. Choose the wood that matches your build, then look up that version's recipe. The examples below use birch.[3]

Step 2: Your first drawer

Start with a plain drawer like the Birch Drawer. Drawers are the first feature the mod lists, so they make a good introduction to the set.[1][3]

Step 3: Add doors

Next, try the pieces with doors. The Birch Drawer with Door and the Birch Single Door Cabinet give your kitchen counters a cleaner, closed-off look.[1][3]

Step 4: Decorative upgrades

Once the basics are down, move on to the fancier pieces. The Birch Drawer with Books and Birch Bookshelf with Door suit libraries and studies. The Glass Birch Cabinet and Birch Cabinet with Glass Doors give you see-through cabinets for displays.[1][3]

Tip: Glass Cabinets and Cabinets with Glass Doors are two separate items with separate recipes, so check which one you're crafting before you commit.[1][3]

Unverified The mod's feature list also mentions Small Drawers, but their recipes aren't among the ones checked for this pack. How much each piece can hold, and whether it works like a chest, couldn't be confirmed either.

How does Storage Delight work?

2 parts

Storage Delight is a furniture mod, not a tech mod. It adds extra furniture built around Farmer's Delight, designed to make your kitchen or any other space look better while keeping your stuff tidy and organized.[1]

If you're hoping for machines, multiblocks, power, fluid handling or automation, this mod doesn't cover that. Its feature list is made up entirely of furniture pieces and says nothing about any of those systems.[1]

The furniture families

The mod's feature list splits the furniture into these types:[1]

Wood variants and crafting

Every furniture type comes in a separate version for each wood, and each version has its own recipe. In All the Mods 10 5.4 you'll find acacia, bamboo, birch, cherry and crimson versions, for example Acacia Drawer, Bamboo Drawer, Birch Drawer, Cherry Drawer and Crimson Drawer.[3]

The recipes shown in the pack's recipe dump are all standard shaped crafting recipes from the mod itself, so you make these in a regular crafting table. The ingredients change depending on the piece and the wood, so check the recipe for the exact variant you want. Here are a few examples in acacia:[3]

Tip: Swapping woods usually just means using the matching recipe for that wood. The cherry version of the bookshelf, for example, has its own recipe: Cherry Bookshelf with Door.[3]

Unverified The sources don't confirm how many item slots each piece has, whether the furniture works with hoppers or pipes, or which other wood types exist beyond the ones listed here (the pack's recipe dump has more recipes that weren't shown).

How do you progress through Storage Delight?

4 parts

Storage Delight doesn't have a tech ladder or tiers in the usual sense. Every piece in this pack's recipe dump is a regular shaped crafting table recipe using vanilla wood materials, so you can build any of it as soon as you have a crafting table and some wood.[3]

The way to think about this mod is as a set of furniture styles, each made in several wood types. The simplest pieces use nothing but wood, and the fancier ones add one extra component on top.[3]

Wood-only pieces

Pieces like the Oak Drawer, Oak Drawer with Door, Oak Single Door Cabinet and Small Oak Drawers are crafted purely from matching wood pieces. These are your go-to early storage furniture.[3]

Book-themed pieces

The Oak Bookshelf with Door and Oak Drawer with Books add a book component on top of the wood, so they cost a little more than the plain drawers.[3]

Glass pieces

The Oak Cabinet with Glass Doors and Glass Oak Cabinet bring glass into the mix. Their recipes accept any glass pane in the common glass panes tag, so stained or modded panes that use the tag should work too.[3]

Wood types

The recipes in this pack cover oak, birch, jungle, acacia, dark oak, mangrove, cherry, bamboo and crimson for the full furniture range. Spruce and warped show up with the glass cabinet, as the Glass Spruce Cabinet and Glass Warped Cabinet.[3]

Watch out: Watch out with the Small Jungle Drawers: in this pack its recipe uses dark oak wood, not jungle wood. Check the recipe below before you chop a jungle.[3]

Unverified The recipe dump was cut off, so it isn't confirmed which other spruce and warped furniture pieces exist in this pack or how they are crafted.

Unverified No quest line for this mod could be found in this pack, so there's no guided progression to follow. Just craft what fits your build.

Which All the Mods 10 quests use Storage Delight?

2 parts

Storage Delight has a single quest in the pack, "Storage Delight" quest. It sits in the Building Tips chapter, which the quest book describes as tips for building, with 91 quests in total.[4]

Where it sits in the chapter

The path to it runs through the decoration branch. "Building Tips!" quest is the chapter's opening quest, and "Decoration!" quest comes after it. Next is "Decor Mods!" quest, which the book describes as mods perfect for decorating your house or base. "Storage Delight" quest comes after that one.[4]

It isn't alone there. "Macaw's Holidays" quest, "Sushi Go Crafting" quest, "Cooking for Blockheads" quest, "Handcrafted" quest, "Macaw's Mods" quest, "Macaw's Furniture" quest, "Farmer's Delight" quest and "Mr Crayfish's Mods" quest also come after Decor Mods!, so you can tackle them in any order.[4]

What the quest tells you

The quest text says Storage Delight is all about item storage, but making it look pretty. It mentions dozens of drawers with different designs and colors, and says they have the same use and space as a barrel.[4]

The quest has one item task. The quest data I have doesn't say which item it asks for, so check the quest in your book.[4]

What changed in Storage Delight between versions?

1 part

Storage Delight has been part of All the Mods 10 for a long time. It was first included in All the Mods 10 2.2 or earlier, and All the Mods 10 5.4 ships version 25.06.24-1.21-neoforge.[2]

Updates in the pack

  • All the Mods 10 2.40 updated Storage Delight from 24.12.15-1.21-neoforge to 25.03.09-1.21-neoforge.[5]
  • All the Mods 10 4.2 updated Storage Delight from 25.03.09-1.21-neoforge to 25.06.24-1.21-neoforge.[6]
  • All the Mods 10 5.4 still includes 25.06.24-1.21-neoforge, so this is the version you're playing with.[2]

Unverified The pack changelogs only list version numbers, and no mod changelogs were available for these files. So what each update added, fixed or changed in Storage Delight is unverified here.
