What is Rechiseled: Create?

3 parts

Rechiseled: Create connects Create with Rechiseled. It adds chiseling recipes for the decorative blocks that already exist in Create, and it adds 100+ new decorative block variants on top of those.[1]

Chiseling

With the chisel, you can swap between all of Create's decorative blocks and the new ones this mod adds. Blocks in the same chiseling recipe are interchangeable, so you can pick the look you want without crafting each variant separately.[1]

Mechanical Chisel

The mechanical chisel is a kinetic block, similar to Create's mechanical saw. If a block is part of a chiseling recipe, the mechanical chisel converts it into another block from the same recipe. It also has a filter, so you can choose exactly which block in the recipe comes out. That makes it handy when you need a lot of one decorative variant.[1]

In this pack

The pack ships Rechiseled: Create 1.1.1 for NeoForge on Minecraft 1.21. It was already included in All the Mods 10 2.47 or earlier.[2]

How do you get started with Rechiseled: Create?

3 parts

Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide

Rechiseled: Create connects Create and Rechiseled. It adds chiseling recipes for Create's existing decorative blocks, plus 100+ new decorative variants of blocks in Create. The good news is that there's very little to set up.[1]

Step 1: Chisel your decorative blocks

Chiseling comes first. All of Create's decorative blocks, as well as the ones this mod adds, can be exchanged with the chisel. That's how you swap between the original blocks and the new variants without crafting each one separately.[1]

Step 2: Make the Mechanical Chisel

Once you're tired of chiseling by hand, make the Mechanical Chisel. It's the one craftable item this mod adds that appears in the pack's recipe dump, and it's a shapeless crafting recipe.[3]

Crafting Shapeless

Recipe id: rechiseledcreate:mechanical_chisel

How the Mechanical Chisel works

The Mechanical Chisel is a kinetic block, similar to Create's mechanical saw, so it needs rotational power to run. If a block is part of a chiseling recipe, the machine converts it into another block from the same recipe.[1]

It also has a filter. Set the filter to a specific block from the recipe and that block becomes the output, so you get exactly the variant you want.[1]

Tip: Use the filter whenever you want a bulk run of one specific variant. Without it, the machine just converts blocks to another block in the same recipe.[1]

Unverified This pack has no quests for this mod, and I couldn't confirm a recommended progression beyond the steps above, such as the best rotation speed for the Mechanical Chisel.

How does Rechiseled: Create work?

3 parts

Rechiseled: Create is a small mod, and its mechanics come down to one machine plus a set of chiseling recipes. It has no power, fluid or multiblock systems of its own that the sources describe, so this section stays short.[1]

Chiseling recipes

The mod adds chiseling recipes for Create's existing decorative blocks and also adds more than 100 new block variants. Every decorative block from Create, plus the ones this mod adds, can be exchanged for another in the same recipe using the chisel.[1]

The Mechanical Chisel

The Mechanical Chisel is a kinetic block, similar to Create's mechanical saw. If a block is part of a chiseling recipe, the Mechanical Chisel converts it into another block from that same recipe.[1]

It also has a filter. Set it to a specific block from the recipe and that block becomes the output, so you can choose what you get instead of leaving it open.[1]

This is a recipe from the mod itself, and the pack's recipe dump lists it as a mod recipe, so here is the exact in-pack crafting:[4]

Crafting Shapeless

Recipe id: rechiseledcreate:mechanical_chisel

Block drops

The decorative blocks drop themselves when broken. The slab variants checked here, such as the polished cut and small brick slabs, drop two items when you break a double slab.[5][6][7][8]

Tip: The sources don't cover the Mechanical Chisel's stress impact, speed requirements or how it takes in items and outputs them, so test it in a small setup before building it into an automated line.[1]

How do you progress through Rechiseled: Create?

The recipe data for this mod in the pack shows one crafting step: the Mechanical Chisel, made with a shapeless crafting recipe. That makes it the entry point for the mod's items, so craft it first.[4]

Crafting Shapeless

Recipe id: rechiseledcreate:mechanical_chisel

This is the pack's shapeless crafting recipe for the Mechanical Chisel, and it is the only recipe for this mod in the recipe data.

The mod's decorative blocks, like the acacia window variants and the polished andesite cut blocks, have loot tables that make them drop themselves when broken.[9][10]

Each of those blocks also has a separate "connecting" version with its own loot table, and that version drops itself too.[9][10][11]

How does Rechiseled: Create work with other mods?

1 part

This mod is a bridge between Create and Rechiseled. It adds chiseling recipes for Create's existing decorative blocks, so you can swap them for one another with the Chisel. It also adds its own new decorative variants of Create blocks, and those can be swapped the same way.[1]

Mechanical Chisel

The Mechanical Chisel is the main link between the two mods. It is a kinetic block, similar to Create's mechanical saw, so it runs on rotational power like the rest of your Create machines.[1]

If a block is part of a chiseling recipe, the machine converts it into another block from the same recipe. It also has a filter, so you can pick the exact block you want as the output.[1]

The in-pack crafting recipe needs an item from Create and the Rechiseled chisel, and it is shapeless, so the arrangement in the grid doesn't matter:[4]

What changed in Rechiseled: Create between versions?

3 parts

Rechiseled: Create has been in the pack since early on, and All the Mods 10 8.2 ships version 1.1.1. Here is how it got there, release by release.[2]

Pack releases

  • All the Mods 10 2.47: Rechiseled: Create 1.0.2 was added to the pack. This was the mod's initial release for 1.21.1.[12][13]
  • All the Mods 10 4.5: updated from 1.0.2 to 1.0.2+a. This update raised the minimum Create version to 6.0.[14][15]
  • All the Mods 10 5.5: updated to 1.1.0, the biggest content update so far (details below).[16][17]
  • All the Mods 10 7.1: updated to 1.1.1, which is the version in 8.2.[2][18]

What changed in 1.1.0

This is the one you will notice most. The mod added stairs and slabs for its blocks, so you can use them in builds like other building blocks.[17]

  • Added stairs and slabs for Rechiseled: Create's blocks.[17]
  • The Mechanical Chisel is now marked as a catalyst in the JEI and REI chiseling category, so recipe viewers show it as the machine for the job.[17]
  • Fixed neighboring block culling for window blocks.[17]
  • Fixed crashes with some other Create addons.[17]

What changed in 1.1.1

A small fix release: blocks that are not meant to connect were also connecting when used with Fusion 1.3.0. That is now fixed.[19]

The sources only list these changes. No config or recipe changes by the pack for this mod are mentioned in them.[12][14][16][18][19]
