What is Rechiseled: Create?

2 parts

Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide

Rechiseled: Create is a decoration mod that connects Create with Rechiseled. It adds chiseling recipes for the decorative blocks Create already has, and it adds 100+ new block variants to Create. If you like building with Create's blocks and want more styles to choose from, this mod is for you.[1]

What it does

  • Chisel swapping: all of Create's decorative blocks, plus the ones this mod adds, can be exchanged with the chisel.[1]
  • Mechanical chisel: a kinetic block similar to Create's mechanical saw. If a block is part of a chiseling recipe, it converts that block into another block from the same recipe.[1]
  • Output filter: the mechanical chisel has a filter, so you can pick which block from the recipe it produces.[1]

In this pack

The pack includes Rechiseled: Create 1.1.1, which was first added in version 2.47 or earlier. It is a building and decoration extra, so you can pick it up whenever you start putting Create's blocks into your builds.[2]

Tip: Because the mechanical chisel is a kinetic block like the mechanical saw, you can automate block conversion in a Create setup. Use its filter to choose the exact variant you want.[1]

Unverified The sources I was given show no quests that involve this mod, and it is not on the ATM Star path. I couldn't confirm any other place where it fits into the pack's progression, so treat it as optional decoration.

How do you get started with Rechiseled: Create?

3 parts

Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide

Rechiseled: Create connects Create and Rechiseled. It adds chiseling recipes for Create's existing decorative blocks, plus 100+ new decorative variants of blocks in Create. The good news is that there's very little to set up.[1]

Step 1: Chisel your decorative blocks

Chiseling comes first. All of Create's decorative blocks, as well as the ones this mod adds, can be exchanged with the chisel. That's how you swap between the original blocks and the new variants without crafting each one separately.[1]

Step 2: Make the Mechanical Chisel

Once you're tired of chiseling by hand, make the Mechanical Chisel. It's the one craftable item this mod adds that appears in the pack's recipe dump, and it's a shapeless crafting recipe.[3]

Crafting Shapeless

Recipe id: rechiseledcreate:mechanical_chisel

How the Mechanical Chisel works

The Mechanical Chisel is a kinetic block, similar to Create's mechanical saw, so it needs rotational power to run. If a block is part of a chiseling recipe, the machine converts it into another block from the same recipe.[1]

It also has a filter. Set the filter to a specific block from the recipe and that block becomes the output, so you get exactly the variant you want.[1]

Tip: Use the filter whenever you want a bulk run of one specific variant. Without it, the machine just converts blocks to another block in the same recipe.[1]

Unverified This pack has no quests for this mod, and I couldn't confirm a recommended progression beyond the steps above, such as the best rotation speed for the Mechanical Chisel.

How does Rechiseled: Create work?

2 parts

Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide

Rechiseled: Create is a small integration between Create and Rechiseled, so there is not a big machine network to learn. It adds chiseling recipes for Create's decorative blocks and 100+ new block variants. It also adds one machine, the Mechanical Chisel, which automates the chiseling.[1]

Chiseling recipes

All of Create's decorative blocks, plus the ones this mod adds, can be exchanged using the chisel.[1]

The Mechanical Chisel

The Mechanical Chisel is a kinetic block, similar to Create's mechanical saw. If a block is part of a chiseling recipe, the machine converts it into another block from that same recipe.[1]

It also has a filter, which lets you pick one specific block from the recipe as the output.[1]

Crafting Shapeless

Recipe id: rechiseledcreate:mechanical_chisel

In this pack the Mechanical Chisel is a shapeless crafting recipe, so the ingredients can go anywhere in the grid.

How do you progress through Rechiseled: Create?

2 parts

Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide

Rechiseled: Create doesn't have a long tier ladder in this pack. The only recipe in the pack's recipe dump that makes an item from this mod is the Mechanical Chisel, so that's the one progression step you need to know about.[3]

Mechanical Chisel

The Mechanical Chisel is a shapeless crafting recipe. It's a Create-flavoured upgrade built from a Create casing and the base chisel from Rechiseled, so you'll need to have both the Create and Rechiseled sides of your progression going first. Here's the exact in-pack recipe:[3]

Crafting Shapeless

Recipe id: rechiseledcreate:mechanical_chisel

Because it's shapeless, the ingredients can go anywhere in the crafting grid. The recipe is listed as a mod recipe, with no sign in the dump that the pack changed it.[3]

Quests and pacing

Unverified No quests in this pack appear to involve this mod, and it isn't on the main quest path. The sources I was given don't describe any other tiers, unlocks or progression gates for it, so treat the Mechanical Chisel as an optional extra you pick up whenever it suits your build.

How does Rechiseled: Create work with other mods?

2 parts

Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide

Rechiseled: Create is all about connecting two mods: Create and Rechiseled. It adds chiseling recipes for Create's existing decorative blocks, plus 100+ new block variants, so you can swap between them with the chisel.[1]

Mechanical Chisel

The one in-pack recipe that links the mod to other mods is the Mechanical Chisel. It combines Create's Andesite Casing with the Rechiseled Chisel, so you need both mods' items to make it.[3]

Crafting Shapeless

Recipe id: rechiseledcreate:mechanical_chisel

The Mechanical Chisel is a kinetic block similar to Create's mechanical saw. If a block is part of a chiseling recipe, it converts that block into another block from the same recipe. It also has a filter, so you can pick which block in the recipe comes out.[1]

Chiseling Create's decorative blocks

All of Create's decorative blocks, along with the ones this mod adds, can be exchanged using the chisel.[1]

Unverified No quests in this pack involve the mod, and no other recipes connecting it to additional mods were found in the provided sources.

What changed in Rechiseled: Create between versions?

1 part

All the Mons 1.3.0 ships Rechiseled: Create 1.1.1. The mod has been in the pack since All the Mons 0.3.0-beta or earlier, so everything below is already part of what you're playing.[4]

Mod releases, newest first

  • 1.1.1: Fixed non-connecting blocks also connecting with Fusion 1.3.0. This is the version in the pack.[4][5]
  • 1.1.0: Added stairs and slabs for the mod's blocks. The Mechanical Chisel is now marked as a catalyst for the JEI and REI chiseling category. Neighboring block culling for window blocks was fixed, and so were crashes with some other Create addons.[5][6]
  • 1.0.2a: Raised the minimum Create version to 6.0.[5][6][7]
  • 1.0.2: Initial release of Rechiseled: Create for 1.21.1.[5][6][7]

If you were wondering where the stairs and slabs for the Create-style chiseled blocks came from, that was 1.1.0.[5]
