What is PotionsMaster?
PotionsMaster is included in this pack, in version 0.7.1-packdev.[1]
Unverified The available sources don't describe what PotionsMaster adds, who it's aimed at, or how it fits into the pack's progression, so those details aren't covered here yet.
How do you get started with PotionsMaster?
4 parts
PotionsMaster in this pack starts with a small toolkit. Before you can grind anything, you need a Pestle and a Mortar. These two show up again and again in the mod's recipes, so craft them first.[2]
Step 1: Pestle and Mortar
Both tools are normal crafting-table recipes. The Pestle is the pricier of the two, so check what you have on hand before you head out mining.[2]

Unverified The sources don't say whether the Pestle and Mortar are used up when you craft with them or come back to you. Test this with a single craft before you rely on one set.
Step 2: Ender Powder
Next, make Ender Powder. It's a shapeless recipe that uses your Pestle and Mortar. Ender Powder goes into every single oresight powder recipe in the pack, so it's worth making a few once you have ender pearls to spare.[2]
Step 3: Your first oresight powder
This is where the pack puts its own stamp on the mod. The oresight powder recipes were added by the pack, and they cover vanilla resources like coal, iron, gold, diamond and netherite scrap, plus modded metals such as tin, osmium, uranium, allthemodium, vibranium and unobtainium. Each one needs your Ender Powder, Pestle and Mortar together with the matching resource, so pick an ore you want to track down and start there.[2]
Iron is an easy one to begin with. For example, the pack's recipe for Iron Oresight Powder looks like this:[2]
Shaped (kubejs)

Recipe id: kubejs:kjs/potionsmaster_iron_oresight_powder
Step 4: Calcinate it in a blast furnace
Each oresight powder has a calcinated version, and the pack makes it with blasting. That means you'll want a blast furnace. Drop in your Iron Oresight Powder and you'll get Calcinated Iron Oresight Powder. The same works for every other oresight powder on the list.[2]

Unverified The sources don't explain what calcinated oresight powders are used for next, such as which potion they go into or what that potion does. Check the recipe viewer in-game to see where they lead. This site does hold All the Mods 10's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
How does PotionsMaster work?
3 parts
PotionsMaster isn't a machine mod. The sources for this pack show no machines, multiblocks, power, fluids or pipes. Everything they cover comes down to a small hand-crafting chain built around the Pestle and Mortar, plus a set of per-ore config files that tell the mod which ores it knows about. Here's how both pieces fit together.[2][3][4]
The crafting chain: Pestle, Mortar and Ender Powder
Your first step is the tool pair. The Pestle and the Mortar are both ordinary shaped crafting recipes that come with the mod itself, so you make them in a normal crafting grid.[2]

Once you have both tools, you can make Ender Powder. It's a shapeless crafting recipe from the mod, and the Pestle and Mortar are part of it.[2]
Unverified The recipe data doesn't say whether the Pestle and Mortar are used up or returned when you craft with them. Check in-game before you count on reusing them.
Oresight powders are pack recipes
The oresight powders are where this pack steps in. Every oresight powder recipe shown in the pack's recipe dump comes from the pack's own scripts, not from the mod. They are shaped crafting recipes, and the Pestle, Mortar and Ender Powder appear in each of the ones listed. That makes the tools and Ender Powder your entry ticket to the whole powder line.[2]
- Vanilla-style resources: Coal Oresight Powder, Iron Oresight Powder, Copper Oresight Powder, Gold Oresight Powder, Redstone Oresight Powder, Lapis Oresight Powder, Diamond Oresight Powder, Emerald Oresight Powder, Quartz Oresight Powder and Netherite Scrap Oresight Powder.[2]
- Modded metals: Aluminum Oresight Powder, Lead Oresight Powder, Nickel Oresight Powder, Osmium Oresight Powder, Platinum Oresight Powder, Silver Oresight Powder and Allthemodium Oresight Powder.[2]
Each powder has its own recipe, and the site shows the exact in-pack version. A metal example and a gem example are below. The rest follow the same naming pattern, so you can look up whichever one you need.[2]

How ores are defined: the per-ore config files
Under the hood, the mod reads one JSON file per ore from the config/potionsmaster folder. Each file has the same settings: color, drawing, entryname, order and oretag. For example, the iron file sets entryname to iron and oretag to c:ores/iron.[4]
The oretag setting points each entry at a common ore tag rather than at one specific block. For example, oretag is c:ores/allthemodium and oretag is c:ores/osmium.[3][5]
The pack ships a config file for every ore below. Drawing is set to false and order is set to 0 in each of them, while the color value is different for every ore.[3][7]
- Allthemodium, aluminum, coal, copper, diamond, emerald, gold, iron, lapis, lead and netherite scrap: each file sets drawing to false and order to 0.[3][4][6][8][9][10][11][12][13][14][15]
- Nickel, osmium, platinum, quartz, redstone, silver, tin, unobtainium, uranium, vibranium and zinc: each file sets drawing to false and order to 0.[5][7][16][17][18][19][20][21][22][23][24]
- Color examples: color is -65536 and color is -16776961.[7][14]
Unverified The sources don't explain what the color, drawing and order settings do in-game, or exactly how the oretag is used. The likely guess is that the color is the highlight shade and the tag decides which blocks count as that ore, but that isn't confirmed here.
Unverified Tin, unobtainium, uranium, vibranium and zinc have config files, but no oresight powder items or recipes for them appear in the recipe list shown here. The dump is cut short, so whether those powders exist in this pack is unconfirmed.
Unverified The sources don't describe how oresight powders are turned into potions, what those potions do or how long they last. They also don't cover any way to automate the process. Test it in-game or check JEI for the brewing steps. This site does hold All the Mods 10's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
How do you progress through PotionsMaster?
4 parts
PotionsMaster doesn't show up in this pack's quests, so you won't get a guided path here. The recipes still give a clear order to work through: make your grinding tools, turn Ender Pearls into Ender Powder, grind that into an Oresight Powder for the ore you want, then optionally blast it into a Calcinated version.[2]
Step 1: Mortar and Pestle
Everything in this mod runs through two tools: the Mortar and the Pestle. Both are regular crafting-table recipes. The Pestle calls for a diamond, so you'll need at least one before you can start.[2]
Crafting Shaped

Step 2: Ender Powder
Next, grind an Ender Pearl with your Mortar and Pestle to get Ender Powder. It's a shapeless recipe, and every Oresight Powder recipe in the pack needs Ender Powder, so stock up on pearls.[2]
Step 3: Oresight Powders
This is where the pack takes over. Every Oresight Powder recipe here is added by the pack as a shaped crafting recipe. They all share the same base: Glowstone Dust, Redstone, Ender Powder, and your Mortar and Pestle. What changes from one powder to the next is the material you add.[2]
- Redstone: Redstone Oresight Powder needs only the shared base ingredients, so it's the simplest one to make.[2]
- Coal and Netherite Scrap: Coal Oresight Powder adds a piece of Coal, and Netherite Scrap Oresight Powder adds a Netherite Scrap.[2]
- Gems: Diamond Oresight Powder, Emerald Oresight Powder, Lapis Oresight Powder and Quartz Oresight Powder each take the matching gem, and any item in that gem's tag works.[2]
- Common raw metals: Iron Oresight Powder, Copper Oresight Powder and Gold Oresight Powder take the matching raw material.[2]
- Modded raw metals: Aluminum Oresight Powder, Lead Oresight Powder, Nickel Oresight Powder, Osmium Oresight Powder, Platinum Oresight Powder, Silver Oresight Powder, Tin Oresight Powder, Uranium Oresight Powder and Zinc Oresight Powder each take the matching raw material.[2]
- Allthemodium metals: Allthemodium Oresight Powder, Vibranium Oresight Powder and Unobtainium Oresight Powder take raw Allthemodium, Vibranium and Unobtainium.[2]

Step 4: Calcinated Powders
The last step is calcination. The pack adds a blasting recipe for every Oresight Powder, so you just put the powder in a Blast Furnace to get its Calcinated version, like Calcinated Iron Oresight Powder from Iron Oresight Powder. There's a Calcinated version for every Oresight Powder listed above, from coal and redstone all the way to Calcinated Unobtainium Oresight Powder.[2]

Every Calcinated powder follows this same blasting pattern
Unverified The recipe data doesn't say what the Oresight or Calcinated Powders do once you have them, whether the Mortar and Pestle get used up when crafting, or how the pack's recipes compare to the mod's defaults. Check these in-game, for example with JEI, before you rely on them. This site does hold All the Mods 10's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
Which PotionsMaster config options matter?
2 parts
PotionsMaster's settings in this pack aren't one big config file. Instead, the config/potionsmaster folder holds a small JSON file for each ore, like iron.json or copper.json, and each file uses the same five keys: color, drawing, entryname, order and oretag. If you want to see or tweak how a particular ore is handled, open that ore's file.[4][10]
The keys in each ore file
- oretag points the entry at a common ore tag. For iron that's c:ores/iron, and the others follow the same pattern, such as c:ores/diamond or c:ores/allthemodium.[3][4][11]
- entryname is the entry's internal name. It normally matches the ore, so the iron file uses iron and the copper file uses copper.[4][10]
- color is stored as a single signed number rather than a hex code. Most ores use a large negative number, while the quartz file simply uses -1.[4][18]
- drawing is a true/false setting, and order is a number. The next part shows how the pack sets them.[4]
How this pack sets them
The pack ships files for the vanilla ores: coal, copper, diamond, emerald, gold, iron, lapis, netherite, quartz and redstone. In all of these, drawing is false and order is 0, so the only real differences between them are their tag, name and color.[4][6][7][9][10][11][12][13][14][18]
You'll also find files for a wide range of modded metals: aluminum, lead, nickel, osmium, platinum, silver, tin, uranium and zinc. These follow the exact same setup, with drawing set to false and order set to 0.[5][8][15][16][17][19][20][22][24]
The endgame ores are covered too: allthemodium, vibranium and unobtainium each have their own file, again with drawing set to false and order set to 0.[3][21][23]
Unverified The sources only show the values this pack uses, not the mod's defaults, so it can't be confirmed whether the pack changed any of these settings. What drawing and order do in-game, and exactly how the color number is turned into an on-screen color, are also not confirmed by the sources.
What changed in PotionsMaster between versions?
1 part
PotionsMaster has been in All the Mods 10 since version 2.2 or earlier. All the Mods 10 5.5 ships version 0.7.1-packdev, in the file potionsmaster-21.1.113-0.7.1-packdev.jar.[1]
Updates across pack releases
These are the version bumps recorded in the pack changelogs, oldest first.[25][26][27][28]
- All the Mods 10 2.31: updated from 0.6.6-packdev to 0.6.7-packdev.[25]
- All the Mods 10 2.34: updated from 0.6.7-packdev to 0.6.8-packdev.[26]
- All the Mods 10 2.42: updated from 0.6.8-packdev to 0.6.9.1-packdev.[27]
- All the Mods 10 4.5: updated from 0.6.9.1-packdev to 0.7.1-packdev. This is the version still in 5.5.[1][28]
Unverified The pack changelogs only list version numbers and don't say what changed in each update. There are no stored changelogs for the shipped jars either, so I can't confirm any gameplay, recipe or balance changes between these versions.
