I'm Fast in All the Mods 10

I'm Fast removes Minecraft's "moved too quickly" and "moved wrongly" checks. If you've ever been rubber-banded back while moving fast in a modded world, this is the mod that deals with that. It lets you move faster than vanilla's limits allow.^[1]

It does this with a mixin, so there are no new items, blocks or recipes for you to craft. You won't see it in your inventory. It works in the background.^[1]

Who it's for

It's mainly for server owners and anyone hosting a world. The mod is server side and isn't required on the client. To install it, you drop it into the server's mods folder.^[1]

In this pack

The pack ships I'm Fast 1.0.3 as the NeoForge build for Minecraft 1.21.1. It has been in the pack since version 2.25 or earlier, so it isn't a recent addition.^[2]

The mod is MIT licensed.^[1]

Unverified The sources I had don't show I'm Fast on the ATM Star path, in any quest, or in a progression stage. They also include no in-jar guidebook, no pack-specific config values and no recipes for it, so I can't say where it fits in progression.

Good news: there's nothing to craft to get going with I'm Fast. The mod doesn't ask you to build a first item or follow a first quest. It works quietly in the background.^[1]

What it does is remove Minecraft's "moved too quickly" and "moved wrongly" checks, using a mixin. That lets you move faster than vanilla's speed limits allow, so fast movement won't get you rubber-banded or flagged.^[1]

What you need to do

1. If you're running a server, copy the mod into the server's mods folder. That's the whole installation.^[1]
2. Don't worry about the client. The mod is server side, so players don't need to install it.^[1]
3. Start moving fast with whatever speed-boosting tools the other mods in the pack give you. The mod removes the vanilla movement checks that would otherwise get in your way.^[1]

Unverified The sources don't confirm any items, recipes, quests or config options for this mod in the pack, so there are no in-pack crafting steps or settings to point you to here.

I'm Fast isn't a content mod with machines, multiblocks or power systems. It's a small utility that changes how the server checks player movement, so there's nothing to build, wire up or automate with it.^[1]

What the mod does

It removes vanilla's "moved too quickly" and "moved wrongly" checks. It does this with a mixin, which lets you move faster than vanilla normally allows. The project page describes this as the mod's way of getting past vanilla's speed limits.^[1]

Where it runs

The mod is server side, so players don't need it on their client. To install it on a server, copy it into the server's mods folder.^[1]

Unverified The sources don't confirm any items, recipes, configuration options, machines, fluid or item handling, or automation features for this mod in the pack, so none are described here. The exact speed thresholds the mod applies are also unverified.

The quests available for this section come from the Twilight Forest chapter and the Mekanism: Reactors chapter. None of the quests shown in either chapter asks you for an item from this mod, so there is no quest-by-quest tier path to walk you through here.^[3][4]

Unverified The sources here do not show any tiers or a progression order for this mod. No in-pack recipes produce its items, and the mod is not on the ATM Star quest path, so there is no recipe chain to follow. If the mod has tiers, they would be set by the mod itself or told in the pack's quest book, and the sources here do not show either one.

I couldn't find a single quest in the sources I checked that asks you for an item from this mod (the imfast namespace). The Twilight Forest chapter has 56 quests and the Mekanism: Reactors chapter has 94. Every task visible in them asks for items from other mods, a checkmark or an advancement.^[3][4]

22 of the 94 quests in Mekanism: Reactors weren't shown to me, so I can't say whether any of them touch this mod. Their full text is in the quest book, so check there. The chapter opens with "Mekanism: Reactors" quest.^[4]

Unverified The text of the PneumaticCraft chapter wasn't available for this guide. What those quests ask for in relation to this mod is unverified, so look in that chapter of the quest book.

The sources for this mod are short, so this history is too. In All the Mods 10 8.1, I'm Fast was updated from version 1.0.2 to 1.0.3.^[5]

The 8.1 pack ships the NeoForge 1.21.1 build of the mod, in the file imfast-NEOFORGE-1.21.1-1.0.3.jar. I'm Fast has been in the pack since All the Mods 10 2.25 or earlier.^[2]

Unverified What changed inside I'm Fast between 1.0.2 and 1.0.3 is unverified. The sources here include no changelogs for the shipped jars, so there are no confirmed details on fixes or features.
