What is Enderman Overhaul?
2 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
Enderman Overhaul reworks the endermen you already know. It adds over 20 new enderman variants, and each one has its own sounds, models and animations. Endermen stop being one repeated mob and start feeling tied to where you find them.[1]
It also overhauls the ender pearl with 8 new variations. Each one drops from a specific enderman variant, so hunting the right variant is how you get the right pearl.[1]
The 8 new pearls
- Soul pearl: dropped by the soulsand valley enderman. You can bind it to mobs to teleport them remotely.[1]
- Summoner pearl: dropped by the swamp and end islands endermen. It teleports all nearby mobs to one point.[1]
- Corrupted pearl: dropped by the end enderman. It randomly teleports enemies it hits.[1]
- Bubble pearl: dropped by the ocean enderman. It floats slowly through the air without being affected by gravity.[1]
- Warped pearl: dropped by the warped enderman. It gives you resistance when you land.[1]
- Crimson pearl: dropped by the crimson enderman. It gives you strength when you land.[1]
- Icy pearl: dropped by the ice spikes enderman. It freezes nearby enemies when it lands.[1]
- Ancient pearl: dropped by the end islands enderman. It summons pet endermen that fight for you, and you can recall them by right clicking.[1]
In this pack
The pack includes Enderman Overhaul 2.0.3, built for NeoForge on Minecraft 1.21.1.[2]
Unverified The sources I have don't show any quests, ATM Star path steps, or pack-specific recipe or config changes for this mod, so I can't say where it fits in the pack's progression. Treat the pearl effects above as the mod's own description, not as confirmed pack values.
How do you get started with Enderman Overhaul?
5 parts
This mod is all about biome-specific endermen. Instead of one tall black mob everywhere, you'll run into over 20 new enderman variants, and each has its own sounds, model and animations. Your first job is simple: explore different biomes and see who shows up.[1][3]
Your first goal: pearls
The mod also overhauls the ender pearl with 8 new variations. Each one drops from a specific enderman variant, so getting started really means hunting the right endermen in the right biomes. The biome names below tell you where to look.[1]
Overworld pearls
- Bubble pearl: dropped by the ocean enderman. It's an accurate ender pearl with no gravity that floats slowly through the air, which is great for precise throws.[1][3]
- Summoner pearl: dropped by the swamp enderman and the end islands enderman. It pulls nearby mobs to one point when it hits.[1][3]
- Icy pearl: dropped by the ice spikes enderman. It freezes nearby enemies when it lands.[1][3]
Nether pearls
- Soul pearl: dropped by the soulsand valley enderman. Crouch-right-click to bind it to a mob, then throw it to teleport that mob to where the pearl lands.[1][3]
- Warped pearl: dropped by the warped enderman. It gives you Resistance II when you teleport.[1][3]
- Crimson pearl: dropped by the crimson enderman. It gives you Strength II when you teleport.[1][3]
End pearls
- Corrupted pearl: dropped by the end enderman. It teleports the targets it hits to a random location.[1][3]
- Ancient pearl: dropped by the end islands enderman. It summons a friendly enderman that fights for you, and you can recall it with a right click.[1][3]
Other gear to watch for
The mod has more than pearls. The hood lets you look at endermen without angering them, which is very handy while you're hunting all these variants. The corrupted blade teleports targets randomly, and the corrupted shield teleports attackers randomly.[3]
Unverified No crafting recipes for this mod's items were found for this pack, and no quests use it, so drops look like the main way to get them. How you get the hood, corrupted blade and corrupted shield is not confirmed.
How does Enderman Overhaul work?
5 parts
This mod isn't about machines, pipes or power. Its core is the endermen themselves: it adds biome-specific endermen, over 20 new variants, each with their own sounds, models and animations. Most of the gear it adds comes from those mobs.[1][3]
Biome endermen and their pearls
The mod overhauls the ender pearl with 8 new variations, and each one drops from a specific biome enderman. So the core loop is simple: find the enderman that matches the pearl you want, then hunt it in its home biome.[1]
- Soul pearl: dropped by the soul sand valley enderman.[1]
- Summoner pearl: dropped by the swamp and end islands endermen.[1]
- Corrupted pearl: dropped by the End enderman.[1]
- Bubble pearl: dropped by the ocean enderman.[1]
- Warped pearl: dropped by the warped enderman.[1]
- Crimson pearl: dropped by the crimson enderman.[1]
- Icy pearl: dropped by the ice spikes enderman.[1]
- Ancient pearl: dropped by the end islands enderman.[1]
Movement pearls
The bubble pearl is your precision throw. It isn't affected by gravity and floats slowly through the air, so it flies straight where you aim it instead of arcing like a normal pearl.[1][3]
The warped and crimson pearls turn every teleport into a buff. The warped pearl gives you Resistance II when you teleport, and the crimson pearl gives you Strength II. Throw a crimson pearl into a fight and you land already hitting harder.[1][3]
Combat pearls
The corrupted pearl teleports whatever it hits to a random location. It's handy for getting a dangerous mob out of your face.[1][3]
The icy pearl freezes nearby enemies when it lands. The summoner pearl works the other way around: it teleports nearby mobs on hit and pulls them all to one point.[1][3]
The ancient pearl summons friendly endermen that fight for you. You can recall them with a right-click.[1][3]
The soul pearl: remote mob teleporting
The soul pearl is the closest thing this mod has to a logistics tool. Instead of moving you, it moves a mob you've bound to it.[1][3]
- Crouch and right-click an entity with the soul pearl to bind it.[3]
- Throw the pearl at the spot where you want that mob to go.[3]
- The bound entity teleports to where the pearl lands, so you can move mobs remotely.[1][3]
Enderman-themed gear
The corrupted theme carries over to other gear. The corrupted blade teleports the targets you hit to random spots, and the corrupted shield teleports attackers randomly, so blocking a hit also sends the attacker away.[3]
The hood lets you look at endermen without making them angry. That's a big deal when you're farming a biome full of them for pearls.[3]
Unverified The sources don't say how to get the hood, corrupted blade or corrupted shield in this pack. They also don't give pearl drop rates, cooldowns, effect durations, or the exact range of the icy and summoner pearls.
What changed in Enderman Overhaul between versions?
All the Mods 10 2.12 ships Enderman Overhaul 2.0.0, using the NeoForge 1.21 build of the mod. It has been in the pack since All the Mods 10 0.32 or earlier, so it is one of the long-standing mods you'll find in the pack.[4]
The mod's own 2.0.0 changelog is very brief. It only lists the Minecraft version, 1.21, and gives no details about individual features or fixes.[5]
Unverified The pack changelogs have no entries for this mod, so any changes to Enderman Overhaul between pack releases are unverified.
