What is Domum Ornamentum?
Domum Ornamentum is part of the pack's building toolkit. This pack ships version 1.0.220-snapshot of the mod, and it has been included since version 2.2 or earlier, so it's a long-standing part of the modlist.[1]
The pack's quest book puts it in the "building_tips" chapter. There, the quest a quest in "?" asks you to obtain the Architect's Cutter. It unlocks after another quest in the same chapter, so you'll reach it as you work through the building tips.[2]
If you're a builder who wants to see how the pack introduces its decorative block tools, the Architect's Cutter is the item to look for first.[2]
Unverified The sources don't describe what the Architect's Cutter does in detail, how its recipe is set up in this pack, or exactly where the mod sits in the overall progression. Check in-game or the quest book before relying on any of that.
How do you get started with Domum Ornamentum?
1 part
Start with the Architect's Cutter. The mod's own tooltip text says some of its items are "Crafted in the Architect's Cutter", so this is the station to make first.[3]
The pack changed this recipe, so don't rely on what you remember from the mod's defaults. Use the in-pack recipe below.[4]

The pack's quest book also has a quest for it, a quest in "?", in the building_tips chapter. Its task is the Architect's Cutter item, and it comes after another quest.[2]
What to craft next
Plenty of Domum Ornamentum items are made in a normal crafting grid. Barrels are a good place to begin: the Laying Barrel and the Standing Barrel each have their own recipe.[4]
The pack also adds sawmill woodcutting recipes for the Laying Barrel, covering logs and wood from many different tree types. So you can turn whatever wood you have into barrels.[4]
For building blocks, try the bricks. Beige Bricks is a shapeless recipe.[4]
The floating carpets are also crafted in the grid, with one shapeless recipe per color. White Floating Carpet is one example.[4]

How does Domum Ornamentum work?
2 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
Domum Ornamentum is a decorative building mod, and the sources for this pack only cover one system in any depth: the Architect's Cutter. The mod's origin tooltip reads "Crafted in the Architect's Cutter", so that's the workstation to look for when you want its blocks.[5]
Getting the Architect's Cutter
The pack changed the cutter's crafting recipe, so don't rely on what you remember from the mod's defaults. The recipe below is the exact one used in this pack.[6]
Crafting Shaped

Items you make at the crafting table
Not everything needs the cutter. The recipe dump lists ordinary crafting recipes for several items, such as the Standing Barrel and Laying Barrel, the coloured floating carpets like Black Floating Carpet, and the brick variants like Beige Bricks and Cream Stone Bricks. These are listed as the mod's own recipes, not pack changes.[6]
The same goes for the "extra" blocks, for example Blue Brick Extra, Green Cobblestone Extra and Green Cactus Extra, plus the plain Brick Extra, Cobblestone Extra and Cactus Extra. Here is one of them as an example of the in-pack layout.[6]

Unverified The sources here do not show how the Architect's Cutter interface works. No in-jar guidebook or config files for Domum Ornamentum were available, so any pack-specific settings for the mod are not shown either.
How do you progress through Domum Ornamentum?
3 parts
The sources don't split Domum Ornamentum into tiers in this pack. What they do show is a clear starting point: the Architect's Cutter, which the pack's quest book asks you to get.[2][4]
Step 1: The Architect's Cutter
The quest a quest in "?" sits in the building_tips chapter and has no title in the pack files. Its task is to obtain the Architect's Cutter, and it unlocks after another quest in the same chapter.[2]
The pack changed this recipe from the mod's own, so don't rely on what you remember from other packs. Here is the recipe the pack uses:[4]
Crafting Shaped
| Empty slot | any iron ingot | Empty slot |
| any log | any log | any log |
Recipe id: domum_ornamentum:architectscutter
This is the pack's changed version of the Architect's Cutter recipe.
Step 2: Craft the building materials
The other Domum Ornamentum items in the recipe dump are crafting table recipes listed as mod recipes, so the pack hasn't changed them. That covers brick variants like Beige Bricks and Brown Stone Bricks, dyed extras like Red Brick Extra, and colored carpets like Blue Floating Carpet.[4]
One example of the brick recipes, a mod recipe the pack leaves as it is.
One example of the floating carpet recipes, also a mod recipe the pack leaves as it is.
Barrels and wood variety
The pack adds sawmill woodcutting recipes that turn logs, wood, stems and hyphae into the Laying Barrel (the Laying Barrel). They cover many modded woods, including ones from Productive Trees, Twilight Forest and Regions Unexplored. The Standing Barrel and the Laying Barrel also keep their crafting table recipes.[4]
How does Domum Ornamentum work with other mods?
2 parts
The main link between Domum Ornamentum and the rest of the pack is wood. The pack adds a lot of sawmill woodcutting recipes that turn logs from other mods into the Laying Barrel. Each recipe is built around one tree type, and it lists the log, the wood, the stripped log and the stripped wood.[4]
Which mods are involved
The trees come from Productive Trees, Regions Unexplored, Biomes We've Gone, Twilight Forest, Undergarden and Eternal Starlight. Here are a few examples from each.[4]
- Productive Trees: Key Lime Log, Plum Log, Mango Log and Soul Tree Log, among many other trees from that mod.[4]
- Regions Unexplored: Joshua Log, Baobab Log, Palm Log and Cypress Log. The Green and Yellow Bioshroom stems and hyphae have their own recipes too.[4]
- Biomes We've Gone: Sakura Log, Skyris Log and Rainbow Eucalyptus Log.[4]
- Twilight Forest: Twilight Oak Log, Canopy Tree Log, Mangrove Log and Timewood Log.[4]
- Undergarden: Grongle Log and Wigglewood Log.[4]
- Eternal Starlight: Scarlet Log.[4]
Here is what one of these recipes looks like, using Key Lime wood from Productive Trees.[4]

Quests
The only Domum Ornamentum quest I found in the sources is in the building_tips chapter, and it asks you to obtain the Architect's Cutter (a quest in "?"). It only involves an item from this mod, so it isn't a cross-mod quest.[2]
Unverified The sources don't say how many barrels each recipe produces, so check the in-game recipe viewer for the output amount. This site does hold All the Mods 10's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
Which All the Mods 10 quests use Domum Ornamentum?
Domum Ornamentum only shows up in one quest in this pack, and it sits in the "building_tips" chapter. If you were hoping for a whole questline about this mod, there isn't one.[2]
The quest is a quest in "?", and it has no title. Its single task is to obtain the Architect's Cutter, which is the mod's main crafting station for building blocks.[2]
The quest comes after another quest in the quest tree, so you have to complete that prerequisite before this one unlocks. The source doesn't list any other tasks or rewards for it.[2]
Unverified The quest's reward, if it has one, is not shown in the available quest data, so it can't be confirmed here.
What changed in Domum Ornamentum between versions?
1 part
Domum Ornamentum has been in All the Mods 10 since 2.2 or earlier, and the pack has bumped it a few times since. The sources only give version numbers for each update, not what changed inside the mod, so this is a version trail rather than a feature changelog.[1][7][8][9][10]
Pack updates to the mod
- All the Mods 10 2.42: updated from 1.0.204-1.21.1-snapshot to 1.0.213-snapshot.[10]
- All the Mods 10 4.1: updated from 1.0.213-snapshot to 1.0.216-snapshot.[9]
- All the Mods 10 4.3: updated from 1.0.216-snapshot to 1.0.218-snapshot.[8]
- All the Mods 10 4.5: updated from 1.0.218-snapshot to 1.0.220-snapshot.[7]
So in 4.5 you're running 1.0.220-snapshot, shipped as the main jar build.[1][7]
Unverified What actually changed inside the mod between these builds (new blocks, fixes, recipe changes) is unverified. There are no stored changelogs for the shipped jars, so check the mod's own release notes if you need details.
