What is Camol?

Camol is included in this pack as version 1.21.1-0.3.0, shipped as the file camol-1.21.1-0.3.0.jar. It has been part of the pack since version 2.40 or earlier, so it is a long-standing inclusion and not a recent addition.[1]

Unverified What Camol actually adds (its items, blocks or mechanics) could not be confirmed. There is no description, guidebook or platform listing available for it, so this guide does not describe its features.

Unverified Where Camol fits in the pack's progression is unconfirmed. The sources show no quests involving the mod and no place for it on the ATM Star path, so there is no guided way to meet it through questing.

For now, treat this page as a record that the mod is installed and at which version. If you find something it adds while playing, check it in-game before relying on it, because this guide has no confirmed recipes, configs or mechanics for it.[1]

How do you get started with Camol?

3 parts

Camol has a very short progression in this pack. You start with one item, the Camo Block, and everything else grows out of it. No quests in the pack involve this mod, so you won't get any in-game prompts for it.[2]

Step 1: Craft the Camo Block

The Camo Block is crafted in a normal crafting grid with a shaped recipe. It uses dyes, and the recipe accepts any dye of each required color, so you don't need one specific dye item. Here is the exact in-pack recipe:[2]

Step 2: Convert it if you need the other variant

Camol adds a second block, the Shape Retaining Camo Block. You don't craft it from scratch. You convert a Camo Block into it with a special conversion recipe.[2]

The conversion also works in reverse, so you can change your mind later and turn the Shape Retaining Camo Block back into a regular Camo Block.[2]

What to do first

  1. Gather dyes and craft a Camo Block using the shaped recipe above.[2]
  2. If you want the shape-retaining version, convert the block into a Shape Retaining Camo Block.[2]
  3. If you converted by mistake, use the reverse conversion to get your Camo Block back.[2]

Unverified Exactly how the Camo Block copies the look of other blocks, and what "shape retaining" changes in practice, can't be confirmed. The pack has no guidebook, quests or item descriptions for this mod, so test both blocks in a creative world before relying on them in a build.

How does Camol work?

2 parts

Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide

Camol is a small mod in this pack, and the only thing the sources confirm about it is its crafting. It adds Camo Block and Shape Retaining Camo Block. The recipe data shows no machines, multiblocks, power use, fluid handling or automation for it.[3]

Crafting the Camo Block

The Camo Block is made with a shaped crafting recipe. It uses black, blue, green, red and white dyes, and any dye from each of those color groups works. The exact in-pack layout is below.[3]

Switching between the block types

The mod has its own crafting recipe type for converting between its blocks. You can turn a Camo Block into a Shape Retaining Camo Block, and you can turn it back again. Each conversion recipe takes a single input item and gives you the other block.[3]

Unverified How the blocks behave when placed, such as what the Shape Retaining version does differently or how the camouflage is applied, is not shown by the sources here. The mod has no config files in the pack, no in-jar guidebook and no lang descriptions to check, so those mechanics are not described. Check the blocks in-game before relying on them.

How do you progress through Camol?

2 parts

Camol has no tier ladder in the recipes the pack shows. Everything revolves around the Camo Block and the Shape Retaining Camo Block: you craft the first, then convert between the forms whenever you like.[2]

Step 1: craft the Camo Block

The Camo Block is your starting point. It uses a shaped crafting recipe, and the exact in-pack version is shown below.[2]

Step 2: convert between the forms

The only recipe shown for the Shape Retaining Camo Block is a conversion from a Camo Block. It uses Camol's own conversion crafting type.[2]

The conversion also runs in reverse, so you can turn a Shape Retaining Camo Block back into a regular Camo Block if you change your mind.[2]

What changed in Camol between versions?

Here's how Camol has moved through the pack's releases. The sources only give version bumps, not what changed inside each one, so this is a timeline and not a feature list.[4][5][6]

  • All the Mods 10 2.40: Camol was added to the pack at version 1.21.1-0.2.1.[6]
  • All the Mods 10 2.42: updated from 1.21.1-0.2.1 to 1.21.1-0.2.3.[5]
  • All the Mods 10 4.6: updated from 1.21.1-0.2.3 to 1.21.1-0.3.0.[4]

All the Mods 10 4.14 ships Camol 1.21.1-0.3.0, so the version from the 4.6 update is still the one you get in this release.[1][4]

Unverified What actually changed in each Camol version (new features, fixes, or recipe and config changes) is unverified, because the sources here include no changelogs for the shipped jars.
