What is GeOre Nouveau?

Same as in the FTB Skies 2 1.22.0 guide

GeOre Nouveau is one of the mods bundled in the pack. This pack ships version 0.5.9, using the file GeOre_Nouveau-1.21.1-0.5.9.jar, which is built for Minecraft 1.21.1.[1]

Unverified The sources I have don't describe what GeOre Nouveau does, who it is aimed at, or any of its items, recipes or configs, so I'm not guessing at them here. Check the mod in-game before relying on any specific behavior.

Unverified The sources don't show any quests in this pack that involve the mod, and they don't place it on the ATM Star path. Treat it as something outside the guided progression until a source says otherwise.

How do you get started with GeOre Nouveau?

3 parts

GeOre Nouveau adds geores for many different materials, including coal, copper, iron, gold, diamond, emerald, lapis, redstone, quartz, aluminum, lead, nickel, osmium, platinum and ancient debris. The sources I have only cover the mod's tooltips, so this section is short. I'd rather give you what is confirmed than guess at the rest.[2]

Step 1: get a dowsing rod for the geore you want

There is a dowsing rod for each geore type. Using one grants Magic Find and Scrying. Magical creatures glow, and the matching geore is revealed through blocks. So a Copper Dowsing Rod shows you Copper Geore, and a Diamond Dowsing Rod shows you Diamond Geore. That makes it the first tool to reach for when you want to find a specific material.[2]

Tip: The dowsing rods also work on an Imbuement Chamber and an Enchanting Apparatus, where they highlight the linked pedestals. If you are building a Nouveau setup, this is a handy way to check that everything is connected.[2]

Step 2: awaken a budding geore for a charm

Each geore type also has a charm. You get a charm by performing the Ritual of Awakening near the matching budding geore. For example, the Iron Charm needs Budding Iron Geore, and the Coal Charm needs Budding Coal Geore.[2]

What I can't confirm yet

Unverified I can't confirm the crafting recipes for the dowsing rods. Nothing I have shows how to make them in this pack, so I'm not adding a recipe block. The same goes for the exact steps of the Ritual of Awakening, where budding geores generate, what the charms do once you have them, and any quests or config options for the mod. I'll add them once there is a source that confirms them.

How does GeOre Nouveau work?

3 parts

Same as in the All the Mods 10: To the Sky 2.0.4 guide

Here's the honest picture for this one: the material available for GeOre Nouveau in this pack only covers a few of its systems. It describes the charms, the dowsing rods and the GeOre Golem conversions. It doesn't explain machines, multiblocks, power, fluids or automation, so I won't guess at those.[3]

GeOre Golem conversions

The mod adds a recipe viewer category called GeOre Golem Conversion. Its description says that only a GeOre Golem of a specific type can perform a given conversion, so check the type shown in that category before you start.[3]

Charms and the Ritual of Awakening

Each ore type has its own charm. A charm is obtained by performing the Ritual of Awakening near the matching Budding GeOre. For example, the Copper charm needs a Budding Copper GeOre nearby, and the Diamond charm needs a Budding Diamond GeOre.[3]

Charms exist for vanilla materials such as coal, iron, gold, diamond, emerald, lapis, redstone, quartz and ancient debris. They also exist for modded ones such as allthemodium, unobtainium, osmium, uranium, tin and silver. The list is long, but the tooltip text is the same apart from the ore name.[3]

Dowsing rods

Every ore type also has a matching dowsing rod. Using one grants Magic Find and Scrying. Magical creatures glow, and the GeOre of that rod's type is revealed through blocks. That makes the rod a handy way to track down the right GeOre before you try the ritual for its charm.[3]

The rods can also be used on the Imbuement Chamber and the Enchanting Apparatus, where they highlight the linked pedestals. This is useful when you're checking a setup for those blocks.[3]

Tip: Match the rod to the ore you want. The tooltip says each rod reveals its own type of GeOre, so pick the rod named after the ore you're hunting.[3]

Unverified Crafting recipes for the charms and rods and any config settings for this mod are not shown by the sources available here, so they are not covered in this section.
