What is Dyson Cube Project?
1 part
Same as in the All the Mods 10 4.14 guide
Dyson Cube Project is part of this pack, included as version 1.0.1. It has been in the pack since 4.13 or earlier, so it isn't a new addition in this release.[1]
Beyond that, the sources I have don't say what the mod adds, who it's aimed at, or how it plays. I'd rather leave that out than guess and send you down the wrong path.[1]
Where it fits in progression
There are no quests in this pack that involve this mod, and it is not on the ATM Star quest path. You won't be nudged toward it by the questbook, so any use of it is your own choice rather than a required step.[1]
Unverified What Dyson Cube Project actually adds (items, machines, mechanics), its recipes, any pack-specific config changes, and how it fits into the pack's tech progression are not confirmed by the available sources, so none of that is described here.
How do you get started with Dyson Cube Project?
4 parts
Dyson Cube Project starts with a small set of craftable parts, and every recipe for it in this pack has been changed from the mod's own. Don't rely on recipes from other guides or the mod's defaults. The recipe blocks below show exactly what you need here.[2]
First, make a Beam
Start with Beam. The Beam Package and both controllers use it as an ingredient, and the Ray Receiver Controller needs it too, so it is the first thing to craft.[2]
Next, make a Solar Sail
Next is Solar Sail. It goes into the Solar Sail Package and into the Ray Receiver Controller.[2]

Then pack them up
Each of these parts has a packaged version. Beam Package is crafted from a Beam, and Solar Sail Package is crafted from a Solar Sail.[2]

Finally, craft the controllers
The EM Rail Ejector Controller needs a Beam, while the Ray Receiver Controller needs a Beam and a Solar Sail. That is why the Beam and the Solar Sail come first.[2]

How does Dyson Cube Project work?
4 parts
The sources for Dyson Cube Project in this pack are thin, so this section only covers what they confirm. The mod's items form a small crafting chain: beams, solar sails, packaged versions of both, and a pair of controller items.[2][3]
Power is optional
The mod's tooltip says power is optional. Supplying power allows you to ramp up how many beams or sails are ejected, so it acts as a throughput boost rather than a requirement.[3]
Beams and beam packages
The pack has changed the recipe for Beam, and Beam Package is crafted from it, also with a pack-changed recipe.[2]

Solar sails and sail packages
Solar Sail and Solar Sail Package also use pack-changed recipes. A tooltip in the mod's language file reads "Contains %s solar sail(s)", where the game fills in the count.[2][3]

Controllers
The pack provides the EM Rail Ejector Controller and the Ray Receiver Controller. Both recipes were changed by the pack, so don't rely on the mod's default recipes.[2]

How do you progress through Dyson Cube Project?
3 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 4.14 guide
The sources here show no quest path for this mod, so the progression comes from how the crafting recipes depend on each other. Every Dyson Cube Project recipe in the pack is marked as changed by the pack, so don't rely on the mod's default recipes. The ones below are what you actually craft here.[4]
First: Beams and Solar Sails
Everything starts with the Beam and the Solar Sail. Neither needs another mod item crafted first, and the rest of the chain is built on them.[4]
Crafting Shaped

Recipe id: dysoncubeproject:beam
The pack changed this recipe, and it needs no other Dyson Cube Project item.

| any lapi gems | any copper ingot | any lapi gems |
Recipe id: dysoncubeproject:solar_sail
The pack changed this recipe too, and it needs no other Dyson Cube Project item.
Next: Packages
Then you bundle each component into a package. The Beam Package is made from a Beam, and the Solar Sail Package is made from a Solar Sail. Each package is one crafting step on top of its component.[4]

The pack changed this recipe. It takes a Beam as an ingredient.

Recipe id: dysoncubeproject:solar_sail_package
The pack changed this recipe. It takes a Solar Sail as an ingredient.
Last: The controllers
The controllers also build on the first components. The EM Rail Ejector Controller needs a Beam, so you can make it without any Solar Sails. The Ray Receiver Controller needs a Beam and a Solar Sail, so it is the last item in this chain to unlock.[4]

The pack changed this recipe. It takes a Beam but no Solar Sail.

Recipe id: dysoncubeproject:ray_receiver_controller
The pack changed this recipe. It takes both a Beam and a Solar Sail.
