What is Dyson Cube Project?
3 parts
Dyson Cube Project adds a huge late-game power source to the pack. You build a Dyson Cube around the Sun, launch Solar Sails and Beams into orbit, and collect the energy on the ground. The quest text says it can produce up to an insane 1GFE/t. This pack includes version 1.0.2 of the mod, and it has been in the pack since 1.8 or earlier.[1][2]
Who it's for
This is for players chasing the biggest power output the pack offers. The quest "Dyson Cube" quest sits in the Basic Power chapter and unlocks after the End Game Power Options quest. Treat it as an end-game project, not an early power upgrade.[2]
The two controllers
- EM Rail Ejector Controller launches Solar Sails and Beams into orbit. You can feed items in automatically through the center of its bottom face, and you will need automation to reach maximum output.[2]
- Ray Receiver Controller collects the energy. It outputs power from the center of its bottom face.[2]
Scaling up
You can package beams and sails into bundles for faster launches, which is much easier than sending them one by one. For maximum output you need to send 8,333,333 beams and 49,999,998 sails into orbit. The quest advises setting up robust resource generation before you scale up to that level.[2]
How do you get started with Dyson Cube Project?
3 parts
The Dyson Cube is this pack's big late-game power source. The quest "Dyson Cube" quest sits in the Basic Power chapter and comes after End Game Power Options. It describes the cube as producing up to 1GFE/t and asks you to make two machines: the EM Rail Ejector Controller and the Ray Receiver Controller.[2]
Step by step
- Craft a Beam. Beams are one of the two things you launch into orbit.[2][3]
- Craft a Solar Sail. Solar Sails are the other thing you launch.[2][3]
- Craft the EM Rail Ejector Controller. This is the launcher that sends Solar Sails and Beams into orbit around the Sun.[2][3]
- Craft the Ray Receiver Controller. This is the machine that collects the energy.[2][3]

Packages for faster launches
You can bundle beams and sails into packages, which the quest says is much easier than sending them one by one. Here are the in-pack recipes for the Beam Package and the Solar Sail Package.[2][3]

Before you scale up
The ejector takes items automatically through the center of its bottom face. The quest says you will definitely need automation to reach maximum output. The receiver outputs power from the center of its bottom face.[2]
Maximum output needs 8,333,333 beams and 49,999,998 sails in orbit, which is a lot. Get robust resource generation running before you start scaling up.[2]
One of the mod's tooltips says power is optional, and that supplying power lets you ramp up how many beams or sails are ejected. The tooltip text does not say which machine it is attached to.[4]
How does Dyson Cube Project work?
4 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10: To the Sky 1.8 guide
The sources for Dyson Cube Project in this pack are thin, so this section only covers what they confirm. The mod's items form a small crafting chain: beams, solar sails, packaged versions of both, and a pair of controller items.[4][5]
Power is optional
The mod's tooltip says power is optional. Supplying power allows you to ramp up how many beams or sails are ejected, so it acts as a throughput boost rather than a requirement.[4]
Beams and beam packages
The pack has changed the recipe for Beam, and Beam Package is crafted from it, also with a pack-changed recipe.[5]

Solar sails and sail packages
Solar Sail and Solar Sail Package also use pack-changed recipes. A tooltip in the mod's language file reads "Contains %s solar sail(s)", where the game fills in the count.[4][5]

Controllers
The pack provides the EM Rail Ejector Controller and the Ray Receiver Controller. Both recipes were changed by the pack, so don't rely on the mod's default recipes.[5]

How do you progress through Dyson Cube Project?
5 parts
The Dyson Cube is a late-game power source in this pack. It sits in the Basic Power quest chapter, and the quest says it can produce up to 1GFE/t. The catch is that you have to launch a huge number of beams and sails to get there.[2]
Where it fits in the quest line
The "Dyson Cube" quest quest unlocks after End Game Power Options. Its two tasks are to get an EM Rail Ejector Controller and a Ray Receiver Controller. So you'll want your other big power options sorted before you start on this one.[2]
The sources show no separate tier ladder for this mod. The progression is a chain: craft the materials, build the launcher, build the receiver, then scale up.[2][3]
Step by step
- Finish End Game Power Options to unlock the Dyson Cube quest.[2]
- Craft Beam and Solar Sail. These are what you launch into orbit around the Sun.[2][3]
- Build the EM Rail Ejector Controller. It launches Solar Sails and Beams, and you can feed it items through the center of its bottom face.[2]
- Build the Ray Receiver Controller to collect the energy. It outputs power from the center of its bottom face.[2]
- Bundle your materials into Beam Package and Solar Sail Package items so launches go faster.[2][3]
- Scale up your launches toward the maximum output, which needs 8,333,333 beams and 49,999,998 sails in orbit.[2]
In-pack recipes
The pack changes every recipe in this chain, so don't rely on what you remember from the mod's defaults. Here are the exact versions you'll craft, starting with the launch materials.[3]

Unverified The sources don't confirm how much power you get at partial launch counts, or whether there are intermediate upgrades beyond these items. Treat anything beyond the 1GFE/t maximum and the beam and sail counts above as unconfirmed.
Which All the Mods 10: To the Sky quests use Dyson Cube Project?
2 parts
The Dyson Cube is covered by a single quest in the pack. "Dyson Cube" quest sits in the Basic Power chapter, and it unlocks after the End Game Power Options quest in the same chapter. It is a late-game power goal, so treat it as something to work toward once your resource generation is solid.[2]
What the quest asks for
The quest has two item tasks. You need to obtain the EM Rail Ejector Controller and the Ray Receiver Controller. These are the two ends of the setup: one launches, the other collects.[2]
- The EM Rail Ejector Controller launches Solar Sails and Beams into orbit around the Sun. You can feed items in automatically through the center of the bottom face. The quest says you'll definitely need automation to reach maximum power output.[2]
- The ejector cannot fire at midday, at night, or during rain.[2]
- The Ray Receiver Controller collects the energy. It outputs power from the center of its bottom face, but it cannot receive power during night or rain.[2]
Scaling up
The quest describes the Dyson Cube as producing up to 1GFE/t. You can package beams and sails into bundles for faster launches, which the quest says is much easier than sending them one by one.[2]
For maximum output, the quest says you need to send 8,333,333 beams and 49,999,998 sails into orbit. That is a lot, so the quest advises having robust resource generation in place before you start scaling up.[2]
