What is BBL Routers?
1 part
BBL Routers is a wireless logistics mod for moving items, fluids and energy around your world, with no pipes or cables to run. If you want to automate storage, machines and tanks without building a spaghetti mess, this is for you.[1][2]
It works with three pieces. The Importer attaches to the inventory you want to insert into. The Exporter attaches to the inventory you want to pull from. The Connector links Importers to Exporters.[1]
Both blocks can be filtered for item stacks and fluid stacks, and dragging from JEI is supported. The mod also has support for Mekanism gases and Ars Source.[1]
This pack includes BBL Routers 1.1.7. Its quest chapter says the mod can transfer items, fluids, power, chemicals and source.[2][3]
How the pack's quests introduce it
The chapter starts with "-A5EDWelcome to BBL Routers" quest, which asks for the Connector. Two follow-ups ask you to place an Importer on the receiving inventory and an Exporter on the sender inventory.[2]
After that, the chapter branches into upgrade lines, each starting with its first tier:[2]
- "Transferring Items" quest with Item Upgrade I, continuing up to Item Upgrade IV.[2]
- "Transferring Fluids" quest with Fluid Upgrade I.[2]
- "Power Transmission" quest with RF Upgrade I.[2]
- "Transferring Chemicals" quest with Chemical Upgrade I.[2]
- "Transferring Source" quest with Source Upgrade I.[2]
- "Increasing Operation Speed" quest with Speed Upgrade I.[2]
- "Filter Upgrades" quest with the Mod Filter and Tag Filter. Right-click with a filter in hand to set it. The Mod Filter needs the full mod name without spaces, and the Tag Filter needs the tag without the #.[2]
- A quest for the Round Robin Upgrade, which the quest says you just put in the Exporter.[2]
Unverified The sources do not show where this mod fits in the wider pack progression, including any ATM Star path, so this guide makes no claim about that.
How do you get started with BBL Routers?
2 parts
BBL Routers is a fully wireless logistics mod. You only need Importers and Exporters, and together they can move items, fluids, power, chemicals and source. The pack changes the recipes for the Connector, Importer, Exporter and most of the upgrades, so the recipe blocks below show the in-pack versions.[2][4]
Your first items, in order
- Make the Connector. It's the task of the first quest, "-A5EDWelcome to BBL Routers" quest, and it's the tool you use to link your blocks together.[2][5]
- Make an Importer and place it on the inventory that should receive things. That's the task of a quest in "BBL Routers".[2]
- Make an Exporter and place it on the inventory you want to take things from. This is the task of a quest in "BBL Routers".[2]
- Link them with the Connector. Right-click the Importer to set its position, then right-click the Exporter to link them. Right-clicking again unlinks.[5]
- Make an Item Upgrade I for the Exporter. The Exporter does nothing on its own, and upgrades decide what kind of thing it can extract. This one is the task of "Transferring Items" quest.[2][5]

What to unlock next
After the welcome quest, the chapter opens one upgrade line per transfer type: "Transferring Items" quest, "Transferring Fluids" quest, "Power Transmission" quest, "Transferring Chemicals" quest and "Transferring Source" quest. Each line goes from tier I to tier IV, and each upgrade lets the Exporter extract its own resource.[2][4][5]
The Chemical and Source upgrades are crafted from items of other mods in the pack, so have those materials ready before you reach them.[4]
- Speed Upgrade I (quest "Increasing Operation Speed" quest) controls how often the Exporter extracts, measured in ticks. It also comes in tiers up to IV.[2][4][5]
- Round Robin Upgrade makes the Exporter distribute in order, evenly, between several Importers. The quest hint is just to put it in the Exporter.[2][5]
- Dimensional Upgrade lets the Exporter send to Importers in other dimensions.[5]
- Mod Filter and Tag Filter (quest "Filter Upgrades" quest) restrict what moves. Right-click with one in hand to set it. For the Mod Filter, write the full mod name without spaces. For the Tag Filter, write the tag without the #.[2]

How does BBL Routers work?
4 parts
BBL Routers is a wireless transport system for items, fluids and energy. There are only three core pieces: the Importer, the Exporter and the Connector. Everything else is an upgrade that tells the Exporter what it is allowed to move.[1][5]
The basic setup
The Importer goes on the inventory you want to insert into. The Exporter goes on the inventory you want to pull from. Neither does anything on its own: the Exporter only extracts once you give it upgrades, and the Importer only inserts what a connected Exporter sends it.[1][5]
- Place an Importer on the inventory you want to fill.[1][5]
- Place an Exporter on the inventory you want to empty.[1][5]
- Right click the Importer with the Connector to store its position.[5]
- Right click the Exporter with the Connector to link them. Right click again to unlink.[5]
- Put the upgrades for the type of transfer you want into the Exporter.[5]

Upgrades decide what moves
Each transfer type has its own upgrade. The tooltips say the upgrade sets how much moves per operation, but the amount is a placeholder in the text I have, so I can't give you the numbers per tier. Check the tooltip in game, where you can hold SHIFT for more info.[5]
- Items: Item Upgrade I through Item Upgrade IV allow item extraction at a set number of items per operation.[4][5]
- Fluids: Fluid Upgrade I through Fluid Upgrade IV allow fluid extraction at a set mB per operation.[4][5]
- Mekanism chemicals: Chemical Upgrade I through Chemical Upgrade IV allow chemical extraction at a set mB per operation.[4][5]
- Energy: RF Upgrade I through RF Upgrade IV allow RF extraction at a set RF per operation.[4][5]
- Ars Nouveau Source: Source Upgrade I through Source Upgrade IV allow Source extraction at a set amount per operation.[4][5]
- PneumaticCraft air: Basic Pressure Upgrade, Reinforced Pressure Upgrade and Advanced Pressure Upgrade allow air extraction at a set amount per operation.[4][5]
The Item, Fluid, Chemical, RF and Source upgrades each come in four tiers, so the tier you pick controls how big each transfer is.[4]
Speed, distribution and range
The Speed Upgrade controls how often the Exporter extracts, measured in ticks. Speed Upgrade I is the first one I can confirm in this pack.[4][5]
If one Exporter is linked to several Importers, the Round Robin Upgrade makes it distribute in order, evenly between them.[4][5]
The Dimensional Upgrade allows the Exporter to extract to Importers in other dimensions.[4][5]

Filters
Exporters and Importers can be filtered for both item stacks and fluid stacks, and you can drag stacks in from JEI. The Exporter's filter slots show up as empty Item/Fluid filters.[1][5]
There is also a Mod Filter that you right click to open. Unlike the upgrades, its recipe is the mod's own and is unchanged in this pack.[4][5]

Unverified The exact per-operation amounts for each upgrade tier, and the tick intervals for the Speed Upgrade, are not in the sources I have. The pack has no config files for this mod, so I can't say whether anything is configurable.
How do you progress through BBL Routers?
4 parts
BBL Routers is a wireless logistics mod, and its quest chapter doubles as the progression path. It opens with "-A5EDWelcome to BBL Routers" quest, which asks for a Connector. Importers and Exporters can then move items, fluids, power, chemicals and source.[2]
The pack changed the recipes for almost everything in this mod, so don't rely on what you remember from other packs. The recipe blocks below show the exact in-pack versions.[4]
Step 1: Connector, Importer and Exporter
Two quests unlock right after the welcome quest. One asks you to place an Importer on the receiving inventory. The other asks you to place an Exporter on the sender inventory.[2]

Step 2: Pick your upgrade branches
The upgrade quests are split into branches. Each branch starts with a tier I quest, and the tier II to IV quests unlock after that first quest. The chapter data I have doesn't name the quest that unlocks the branches themselves, so check the quest book to see exactly when each one opens.[2]
- "Transferring Items" quest starts the item branch with Item Upgrade I. It continues up to Item Upgrade IV.[2]
- "Transferring Fluids" quest starts the fluid branch with Fluid Upgrade I. It continues up to Fluid Upgrade IV.[2]
- "Transferring Chemicals" quest starts the chemical branch with Chemical Upgrade I. It continues up to Chemical Upgrade IV.[2]
- "Power Transmission" quest starts the power branch with RF Upgrade I. It continues up to RF Upgrade IV.[2]
- "Transferring Source" quest starts the source branch with Source Upgrade I. It continues up to Source Upgrade IV.[2]
- "Increasing Operation Speed" quest starts the speed branch with Speed Upgrade I. It continues up to Speed Upgrade IV.[2]
Every tier in these branches has its own pack-changed recipe, and each tier needs different materials than the one before. Here is the item branch as an example of how the tiers step up.[4]

How does BBL Routers work with other mods?
3 parts
BBL Routers is fully wireless, and in this pack its more specialized upgrades are built from items out of other mods. Three mods are involved: Mekanism, Ars Nouveau and PneumaticCraft. The project page confirms support for Mekanism gases and Ars Source, and it says there is "more" without naming it.[1][4]
Mekanism: chemical upgrades
The four Chemical Upgrades (Chemical Upgrade I through Chemical Upgrade IV) tie BBL Routers to Mekanism through its Chemical Upgrade, and the recipes below show each tier. The first tier is the one the "Transferring Chemicals" quest quest asks you to craft.[2][4]

Which All the Mods 10: To the Sky quests use BBL Routers?
3 parts
The pack has a single quest chapter for this mod, called BBL Routers. It opens with "-A5EDWelcome to BBL Routers" quest, which asks you to get a Connector. The quest text describes the mod as a completely wireless logistics system. You only need Importers and Exporters, and they can transfer items, fluids, power, chemicals and source.[2]
Getting started
Two quests unlock right after the welcome quest, and both are about placing the basic blocks.[2]
- a quest in "BBL Routers" asks for an Importer. The quest hint says to place it on the receiving inventory.[2]
- a quest in "BBL Routers" asks for an Exporter. The quest hint says to place it on the sender inventory.[2]
Upgrade branches
The rest of the chapter is a set of upgrade branches. Each one starts with a tier I quest. The tier II, III and IV quests each unlock directly from that tier I quest, so they are not chained one after another. Here is each branch in tier order.[2]
- Items: "Transferring Items" quest asks for Item Upgrade I. Then come a quest in "BBL Routers" (Item Upgrade II), a quest in "BBL Routers" (Item Upgrade III) and a quest in "BBL Routers" (Item Upgrade IV).[2]
- Fluids: "Transferring Fluids" quest asks for Fluid Upgrade I. Then come a quest in "BBL Routers" (Fluid Upgrade II), a quest in "BBL Routers" (Fluid Upgrade III) and a quest in "BBL Routers" (Fluid Upgrade IV).[2]
- Chemicals: "Transferring Chemicals" quest asks for Chemical Upgrade I. Then come a quest in "BBL Routers" (Chemical Upgrade II), a quest in "BBL Routers" (Chemical Upgrade III) and a quest in "BBL Routers" (Chemical Upgrade IV).[2]
- Power: "Power Transmission" quest asks for RF Upgrade I. Then come a quest in "BBL Routers" (RF Upgrade II), a quest in "BBL Routers" (RF Upgrade III) and a quest in "BBL Routers" (RF Upgrade IV).[2]
- Source: "Transferring Source" quest asks for Source Upgrade I. Then come a quest in "BBL Routers" (Source Upgrade II), a quest in "BBL Routers" (Source Upgrade III) and a quest in "BBL Routers" (Source Upgrade IV).[2]
- Speed: "Increasing Operation Speed" quest asks for Speed Upgrade I. Then come a quest in "BBL Routers" (Speed Upgrade II), a quest in "BBL Routers" (Speed Upgrade III) and a quest in "BBL Routers" (Speed Upgrade IV).[2]
Filters and round robin
Two more quests sit alongside the upgrade branches. "Filter Upgrades" quest asks for a Mod Filter and a Tag Filter. a quest in "BBL Routers" asks for a Round Robin Upgrade, and its hint says to just put it in the Exporter.[2]
Unverified The upgrade, filter and round robin quests all unlock after one earlier quest that is not described in the available quest data. It is unconfirmed whether that quest is part of this chapter's welcome sequence, so the exact point where these branches open up is unverified.
What changed in BBL Routers between versions?
In All the Mods 10: To the Sky 2.0.4, BBL Routers is at version 1.1.7 (the file routers-1.21.1-1.1.7.jar). The mod has been in the pack since 1.2 or earlier.[3]
The mod's changelog has entries for versions 1.0.11, 1.0.16, 1.0.21, 1.0.23, 1.1.2, 1.1.6 and 1.1.7. Each entry only points to the mod author's Discord for updates and support, so none of them lists what actually changed.[6][7][8][9][10][11][12]
Unverified What changed in each BBL Routers release, and whether the pack changed anything for this mod along the way, is not confirmed. The mod changelogs list no changes, and there are no pack changelog entries for it.
