What is AEInfinityBooster?

1 part

AEInfinityBooster is a small add-on for Applied Energistics 2 (AE2). It adds two items: the Infinity Range Booster and the Dimension Card.[1][2]

Both are wireless boosters. They give you infinite connectivity range, and the Dimension Card adds optional cross-dimensional support. If you already use AE2's wireless gear and don't like being limited by distance, this mod is for you.[2]

Where it fits in the pack

The pack ships AEInfinityBooster version 1.21.1-1.0.0.52 for NeoForge. It has been in the pack since version 1.0 or earlier.[3]

In the quest book, you'll find it in the Applied Energistics 2 chapter as the quest "Infinity Booster" quest. It comes after the Wireless Terminals quest, so it is a follow-up once you have wireless access set up. The quest tasks are to obtain both the Infinity Range Booster and the Dimension Card.[2]

Unverified This guide has no confirmed crafting recipes, configuration options or usage steps for the two boosters, because none appeared in the available sources. Check the in-game recipe viewer for how to craft them. This site does hold All the Mods 10: To the Sky's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.

How do you get started with AEInfinityBooster?

3 parts

AEInfinityBooster is a small Applied Energistics 2 add-on. It gives you two wireless boosters: one for infinite connectivity range, and one that adds optional cross-dimensional support. In this pack, both are the tasks of the "Infinity Booster" quest quest in the Applied Energistics 2 chapter.[1][2]

What to make, in order

  1. Work through the Wireless Terminals quest first. The Infinity Booster quest comes right after it in the Applied Energistics 2 chapter, so that is where the quest book places this mod.[2]
  2. Craft the Infinity Range Booster. It is the first of the two items the quest asks for, and it gives you infinite wireless range.[2][4]
  3. Craft the Dimension Card when you want cross-dimensional connectivity. It is the second item the quest asks for, and its recipe takes the Infinity Range Booster, so the order above matters.[2][4]

The Infinity Range Booster

The pack changes this recipe from the mod's own, so follow the recipe below rather than anything you remember from the mod's defaults.[4]

The Dimension Card

This one is the mod's own recipe, with no pack change flagged. Have your Infinity Range Booster ready before you craft it.[4]

This is the mod's recipe as used in the pack.

Watch out: The Dimension Card's tooltip says it does not provide chunk loading capabilities, so do not expect it to load chunks for you.[5]

How does AEInfinityBooster work?

Same as in the All the Mods 10: To the Sky 2.0.4 guide

This mod is small. It adds two items to Applied Energistics 2: the Infinity Range Booster and the Dimension Card. Neither is a machine or a multiblock, so there is no power, fluid or item handling to set up.[1][5]

The two cards

Watch out: The Dimension Card's own tooltip says it does not provide chunk loading capabilities. Don't count on it to keep an area loaded.[5]

Crafting

The pack changed the Infinity Range Booster recipe from the mod's own version, so use the recipe below rather than anything you remember from other modpacks. It is a shaped crafting recipe.[6]

The Dimension Card uses the mod's own recipe, which the pack did not change. It is also a shaped crafting recipe.[6]

Unverified The sources do not describe how the cards behave in play: the exact range the Infinity Range Booster gives, how the Dimension Card works beyond its tooltip, or any settings. The mod has no config files in the pack.

How do you progress through AEInfinityBooster?

3 parts

This add-on has a short, simple progression: two items, two steps. In this pack, its quest sits in the Applied Energistics 2 chapter, so you'll reach it as part of your AE2 wireless setup.[2]

Quest path

The quest "Infinity Booster" quest comes after the Wireless Terminals quest. Its tasks are to obtain both the Infinity Range Booster and the Dimension Card. The quest describes the add-on as two bespoke wireless boosters that give infinite connectivity range, with optional cross-dimensional support.[2]

Tier 1: Infinity Range Booster

The Infinity Range Booster is the entry point. Its crafting recipe is changed by the pack, so don't rely on the mod's default recipe or on older guides. Use the recipe below instead.[4]

Tier 2: Dimension Card

The Dimension Card is the second step, and its recipe builds on the first-tier card, so make the Infinity Range Booster first. The recipe dump marks this one as a mod recipe, not one changed by the pack.[4]

How does AEInfinityBooster work with other mods?

Same as in the FTB Skies 2 1.22.0 guide

Infinity Range Booster is an add-on for AE2, so that is the mod it connects to most directly. In this pack, the link shows up in the crafting recipe.[1][7]

The pack changed the recipe for the Infinity Range Booster. It is a shaped crafting recipe that builds on AE2's Wireless Booster and also uses vanilla items such as Ender Eye and Nether Star. The netherite part accepts any ingot from the shared netherite ingot tag, so it does not matter which mod the ingot comes from. Here is the exact in-pack recipe:[7]

Tip: Because the pack changed this recipe, don't rely on recipes from the mod's own page or from other modpacks. Use the recipe above for what you actually need.[7]

Which All the Mods 10: To the Sky quests use AEInfinityBooster?

2 parts

This mod shows up in just one place in the quest book: the Applied Energistics 2 chapter. There is a single quest for it, so there is no long questline to follow.[2]

Infinity Booster

The quest "Infinity Booster" quest is the one that introduces the add-on. It describes the mod as providing two bespoke wireless boosters that allow infinite connectivity range, with optional cross-dimensional support.[2]

It has two item tasks: the Infinity Range Booster and the Dimension Card. The Infinity Range Booster is the one for unlimited range, and the Dimension Card is the one that adds the cross-dimensional part.[2]

Where it sits in the order

In the Applied Energistics 2 chapter, this quest comes after the Wireless Terminals quest. That makes sense, since the boosters are about extending how far your wireless access reaches. Finish Wireless Terminals first and then Infinity Booster will unlock.[2]

Unverified The sources do not say what rewards the Infinity Booster quest gives, and they do not list any other quests or chapters that involve this mod.

What changed in AEInfinityBooster between versions?

There isn't much version history to tell for this mod. All the Mods 10: To the Sky 1.2.1 ships AEInfinityBooster 1.21.1-1.0.0.52, and the mod has been in the pack since All the Mods 10: To the Sky 1.0 or earlier.[3]

The mod's own changelog for this version doesn't list any changes. It only says the full changelog is kept in the mod's GitHub repository, so check there if you want the detailed history.[8]
