RS: Requestify is a mod in Project Infinity 0.1 0.0.51.4-hotfix-2, where it is version 2.3.3. Keep you refined storage stocked with crafteable items (Summary from the mod's Modrinth page.)

What is RS: Requestify?

1 part

RS: Requestify is an add-on for Refined Storage. In this pack it adds two items you can work with: the Requester and the Crafting Emitter. The pack ships version 2.3.3 of the mod, and it has been in the pack since 0.0.45.4 or earlier.[1][2]

Where the quest book puts it

RS: Requestify has no chapter of its own. Both of its items sit in the Refined Storage chapter, which is in the "Storage and Power" group. It is chapter 16 of 44 in the book and holds 68 quests.[2]

The path to the Requester runs through the auto-crafting part of the chapter. "Auto-Crafting" quest comes first, then "Alexa ! Craft for me" quest, which asks for the Refined Storage Crafter. After that comes "Can I get umm..." quest, the quest that asks for the Requester.[2]

Two quests unlock after the Requester quest. One is a quest in "Refined Storage", which asks for the Crafting Emitter. The other is a quest in "Refined Storage", which asks for the Elite Requester from another mod. That one leads on to a quest in "Refined Storage" and then a quest in "Refined Storage".[2]

Unverified The sources I have don't explain in detail what the Requester and the Crafting Emitter do, so check them in game or in their quests before relying on specifics.

How do you get started with RS: Requestify?

3 parts

RS: Requestify adds two blocks on top of Refined Storage: the Requester and the Crafting Emitter. Both recipes use Refined Storage parts such as processors and machine casings, so your first steps are really about getting a Refined Storage network and auto-crafting going. The pack's quest book walks you through it in its Refined Storage chapter, in the "Storage and Power" group.[2][3][4]

The order to follow

  1. Start with "Getting Started" quest. The quest asks for quartz enriched iron and the processor binding. Quartz enriched iron is also an ingredient in the Crafting Emitter recipe below.[2][3]
  2. Do a quest in "Refined Storage". It asks you to obtain the basic, improved and advanced processors. The recipes below use the improved and advanced processors.[2][3]
  3. Next, "Core of Refined Storage" quest asks for the controller.[2]
  4. Then "Auto-Crafting" quest asks for a pattern grid and a pattern. The book lists it after the controller quest and a quest in "Refined Storage", and that one is listed after "Please Insert Disk" quest.[2]
  5. After that, "Alexa ! Craft for me" quest asks for a crafter. The book lists it after the auto-crafting quest.[2]
  6. Now you're ready for "Can I get umm..." quest, which asks you to obtain the Requester and comes right after the crafter quest.[2][4]
  7. Finish with a quest in "Refined Storage", which asks you to obtain the Crafting Emitter and also comes right after the Requester quest.[2][4]

Your first Requester

The Requester keeps the filtered item or fluid in stock at the amount you set. That's the point of this mod: you ask for something once and your network keeps crafting it to maintain the stock. Here's the in-pack recipe:[4]

Then the Crafting Emitter

The Crafting Emitter gives off a redstone signal whenever any item or fluid in its filter is being crafted. It's handy for hooking your network up to lights, machines or other redstone setups.[4]

Tip: A single request is capped. In this pack the setting COMMON.MAX_CRAFT_AMOUNT is 1000 items per request, so if you want more than that, ask for it in several requests.[5]

In the quest book, a quest in "Refined Storage" is listed after the Requester quest, and it asks for an Elite Requester.[2]

How does RS: Requestify work?

3 parts

This mod is small and does two jobs: it keeps things in stock automatically, and it tells your redstone when something is being crafted. Each job has its own block, so you can learn the whole mod quickly.[4]

Requester: keeping items in stock

The Requester keeps the filtered item or fluid in stock at the amount you want. You pick what to keep stocked and how much, then press Save in its screen to apply your settings.[4]

The filter covers fluids as well as items, so the same block can keep a fluid supply topped up.[4]

Request size limit

This pack sets COMMON.MAX_CRAFT_AMOUNT to 1,000, which is the maximum amount of items per request. The config only accepts values above 1, so you can raise or lower the cap, but you can't set it to 1 or less.[5]

Tip: If a Requester seems to ask for less than you typed, check the 1,000 cap in the config file first.[5]

Crafting Emitter: redstone from crafting

The Crafting Emitter emits a redstone signal when any item or fluid in its filter is being crafted. Use it to trigger lights, locks or other machines while a craft is running.[4]

Unverified How the Requester and Crafting Emitter connect to your storage setup, and the exact fields in their screens beyond the Save button, could not be confirmed from the available sources.

How do you progress through RS: Requestify?

3 parts

RS: Requestify adds two items in this pack, the Requester and the Crafting Emitter. There are no tiers inside the mod itself, so the progression here is about where the quest book puts them and what you need to have done first.[2][3]

Where it sits in the quest book

Both items are in the "Refined Storage" chapter, which is chapter 16 of 44 in the book and part of the "Storage and Power" group. The chapter has 68 quests.[2]

The path starts with "Refined Storage" quest, then "Getting Started" quest, then a quest in "Refined Storage". After that comes "Core of Refined Storage" quest, which is the Controller quest.[2]

Autocrafting is next. "Auto-Crafting" quest unlocks after the Core quest and a quest in "Refined Storage", and the Construction Core quest itself comes after "Please Insert Disk" quest. Then "Alexa ! Craft for me" quest asks you for the Crafter.[2]

The Requester and Crafting Emitter quests

  1. "Can I get umm..." quest is the Requester quest, and it comes right after the Crafter quest.[2]
  2. a quest in "Refined Storage" also unlocks after the Requester quest, so you can pick it up once that one is done.[2]
  3. a quest in "Refined Storage" follows the Requester quest as well. Its task is an item from the Cable Tiers mod, not from this mod.[2]

The quest book then continues that line with a quest in "Refined Storage" and a quest in "Refined Storage". Both ask for Cable Tiers items too.[2]

Crafting them

Both items are crafted at a crafting table with a shaped recipe. The recipe dump lists them as the mod's own recipes. The pack's recipe is shown below.[3]

Unverified The sources for this pack do not describe in detail what the Requester and Crafting Emitter do once placed, or any config options for them, so check them in-game before relying on specifics.

How does RS: Requestify work with other mods?

4 parts

RS: Requestify is an add-on for Refined Storage, so most of its links with other mods are to Refined Storage itself, plus one Cable Tiers upgrade. Here is how that shows up in the recipes and the quest book.[2][3]

Requester

The Requester is built mostly from Refined Storage parts, with a bit of vanilla redstone. Nothing in the sources says the pack changed this recipe, so it is the mod's own recipe.[3]

Crafting Emitter

The Crafting Emitter also leans on Refined Storage components. On the vanilla side it uses the Crafting Table and the Redstone Torch, and the recipe block below shows the exact in-pack recipe. This is the mod's own recipe too.[3]

Cable Tiers: Elite Requester

The Elite Requester is where Requestify meets another add-on. Its recipe uses the Requester as an ingredient, and the sources mark it as changed by the pack, so don't assume it matches the Cable Tiers default.[3]

Where it sits in the quest book

Requestify has no chapter of its own. In the pack's quest book its quests are in the "Refined Storage" chapter, in the "Storage and Power" group.[2]

In the quest book, "Alexa ! Craft for me" quest asks you for the Crafter. "Can I get umm..." quest comes after it and asks for the Requester. a quest in "Refined Storage" (the Crafting Emitter) and a quest in "Refined Storage" (the Elite Requester) both come after that one.[2]

The Cable Tiers requester line goes on from the Elite Requester quest: a quest in "Refined Storage" comes after it, and a quest in "Refined Storage" comes after that.[2]

Tip: Seven quests in the Refined Storage chapter are not covered here. If you want the full text of any quest, check the quest book.[2]

Which Project Infinity 0.1 quests use RS: Requestify?

3 parts

This mod has no chapter of its own. Its quests sit inside the pack's Refined Storage chapter, in the group "Storage and Power". Only a few quests in that chapter ask for items from this mod.[2]

The path to the Requester

In the quest book the Requester sits on the auto-crafting line of the chapter. Start at "Refined Storage" quest, then "Getting Started" quest and a quest in "Refined Storage". After that comes "Core of Refined Storage" quest, which asks you to obtain the Refined Storage controller.[2]

From the core, "Auto-Crafting" quest is the next step on this line. It is listed after both the core quest and a quest in "Refined Storage", and it asks you to obtain a pattern grid and a pattern. "Alexa ! Craft for me" quest follows it and asks you to obtain a crafter.[2]

Quests that ask for this mod's items

  1. "Can I get umm..." quest is listed right after the crafter quest and asks you to obtain the Requester.[2]
  2. a quest in "Refined Storage" is also listed after the Requester quest and asks you to obtain the Crafting Emitter.[2]

Both quests ask for the item only. The Requester and the Crafting Emitter are the only items from this mod that the quest book asks for.[2]

Where the Requester line continues

The Requester quest is also followed by a line of quests that ask for items from another mod. a quest in "Refined Storage" is listed right after it, then a quest in "Refined Storage", and the line ends at a quest in "Refined Storage". Each one is listed after the one before it, so you work through them in that order.[2]

The Crafting Emitter quest is a side branch off the same Requester quest. Nothing in the chapter unlocks after it.[2]

Which RS: Requestify config options matter?

Only one option for this mod is confirmed in the pack's files, and it's the one you'll notice most: how much you can ask for in a single request. It lives in the common config file for the mod.[5]

  • COMMON.MAX_CRAFT_AMOUNT is set to 1,000 in this pack. It is the maximum amount of items per request, and the accepted range is anything above 1.[5]

In practice, that means a single request can't ask for more than 1,000 of an item. If you need more, you'll have to split it into several requests.[5]

Unverified The sources don't show the mod's own default for this option, so it isn't confirmed whether the pack changed the value from the default.

What changed in RS: Requestify between versions?

1 part

There isn't much history to cover for RS: Requestify in this pack. Project Infinity 0.1 0.0.51.4-hotfix-2 ships version 2.3.3 (the file rsrequestify-1.20.1-2.3.3.jar), and it was first included in Project Infinity 0.1 0.0.45.4 or earlier.[1]

Mod changelog

  • 2.3.3: updated to a newer RS version. That is the only note in the changelog for this release.[6]

The sources don't list any pack changelog entries for this mod, so I can't tell you about pack-specific changes to it across releases.[1]
