What is CommonCapabilities?

Same as in the All the Mods 10 2.12 guide

CommonCapabilities is part of the pack as version 2.9.7, shipped as the NeoForge 1.21.1 build. It has been in the pack since version 0.32 or earlier, so it's a long-standing part of the mod list rather than a recent addition.[1]

Unverified The available data doesn't describe what CommonCapabilities does, and there's no guidebook or platform description to confirm it. I can't tell you who it's for or what it adds to your gameplay. As far as the data shows, no quests in this pack involve the mod, and it isn't on the ATM Star path, so you don't need to plan your progression around it.

How do you get started with CommonCapabilities?

Same as in the All the Mods 10 0.50 guide

I don't have a confirmed set of first steps for CommonCapabilities in this pack, so I'm keeping this section short instead of guessing.[2]

The one thing the mod's own language file confirms is that it has a configuration screen, whose title is built from the pattern "%s configuration".[2]

Unverified No in-pack recipes, quests or config options for CommonCapabilities were available to me, so I can't say which items to make first or in what order.

How does CommonCapabilities work?

Same as in the All the Mods 10 0.50 guide

The only thing the available material for CommonCapabilities shows is its language file, and that contains a single string: the title of a configuration screen, written as "%s configuration". That is not enough to explain how the mod handles machines, multiblocks, power, fluids or items.[2]

Unverified How CommonCapabilities handles power, fluid and item transfer, and whether it adds any machines, multiblocks or automation features of its own, could not be confirmed from the sources available for this pack.

Which CommonCapabilities config options matter?

3 parts

Same as in the All the Mods - Gravitas 4.0 guide

CommonCapabilities has only a handful of options in its common config, and most of them you'll never need to touch. Here is exactly how this pack sets them.[3]

Crash behavior

Analytics and version checking

Equality filter NBT paths

machine.general.ignoreNbtPathsForEqualityFilters is the only option that holds a list. Its comment says these are the NBT paths filtered away when checking equality. The pack sets it to the capability data at astralsorcery:cap_item_amulet_holder under ForgeCaps, plus the $.binding and $.energy paths.[3]

Tip: If you edit the equality filter list, keep each path as a quoted string inside the brackets, the same way the pack's existing entries are written.[3]

"From pack files" means the list came from the pack's own files; "from the published release" means ForgeBase read the jars of the release itself.

Items and blocks

We can't match this mod to the pack's item list: it registers as commoncapabilities, and the pack's recipe dump has nothing under that name. That means we found nothing, not that the mod adds nothing. Search the item browser
