What is Simple Teleporters?
1 part
Simple Teleporters is a teleportation mod, and this pack ships version 2.0.1 of it (the 1.21.1 build). It has been in the pack since 1.0.0 or earlier, so it's a long-standing part of the mod list.[1]
The mod adds the Teleporter and the Ender Shard. You'll meet both in the pack's questbook.[2]
Where it fits in the progression
The pack has a quest in the exploration and combat chapter, a quest in "?", with the Teleporter and the Ender Shard as its tasks. That placement suggests the mod is part of the pack's exploration side. The quest has no title, so the questbook doesn't say more about it.[2]
Unverified The sources don't confirm how teleporters are crafted, how they are linked or powered, or what the Ender Shard is used for. Check the in-game recipe viewer for the exact recipes in this pack before you plan a build around them. This site does hold FTB StoneBlock 4's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
How do you get started with Simple Teleporters?
3 parts
Simple Teleporters keeps things small. The two items that matter are the Ender Shard and the Teleporter. You make the shard first, because the teleporter recipe uses it.[3]
Step by step
- Make an Ender Shard. In this pack it comes from a smelting recipe, not a crafting grid.[3]
- Craft a Teleporter. The recipe is shaped and includes the shard you just made. Check the recipe block below before you start gathering.[3]
- Look at your shard's tooltip. The mod's text for a linked shard shows a set of coordinates and a dimension.[4]
Smelt this first, since the teleporter recipe needs a shard.

This is the teleporter itself, a shaped crafting recipe.
Clearing a shard
The pack also has a shapeless recipe called clear_shard. It takes an Ender Shard and gives you an Ender Shard back.[3]
Quest and visual options
The pack's quest book has a quest in the exploration and combat chapter that asks for a teleporter and an ender shard, so you can use it as a checklist: a quest in "?".[2]
The mod also has options to turn off the nameplate shown above a teleporter with a named crystal, and the particles shown above an active teleporter. They are handy if the effects clutter your base.[4]
How does Simple Teleporters work?
4 parts
Simple Teleporters keeps things small. The sources I have only cover a few parts of it: the Ender Shard, the Teleporter block and two client-side display options. I'll stick to what is confirmed.[3][4]
Ender Shards store a location
An Ender Shard can be linked to a position. Its tooltip reads "Linked Ender Shard to" followed by three coordinates and a dimension, so a shard remembers both where a spot is and which dimension it is in.[4]
In this pack you make a shard by smelting an Ender Eye in a furnace. Here is the exact recipe:[3]
There is also a shapeless recipe that takes one Ender Shard and gives back one Ender Shard. Its id is clear_shard.[3]
Unverified The recipe id suggests this one wipes a shard's stored link so you can reuse it. The sources don't state that outright, so test it in your world before relying on it.
The Teleporter block
The Teleporter is a shaped crafting recipe in this pack. It uses an Ender Shard along with other materials, and the recipe block below shows exactly what.[3]
Crafting Shaped
| Empty slot | Empty slot | |
| any gold storage block | any netherite ingot | any gold storage block |
Recipe id: simpleteleporters:teleporter
The mod's text mentions a teleporter with a named crystal, and an active teleporter. So a teleporter can be given a name through its crystal, and it has an active state.[4]
Display options
Two client-side options control what you see around teleporters. client.disableNameplate hides the nameplate shown above a teleporter with a named crystal. client.disableParticles hides the particles shown above an active teleporter.[4][5]
The pack sets both to false, which matches the default. Nameplates and particles are therefore both visible unless you change them.[5]
What I can't confirm
Unverified The sources don't explain how to link a shard to a location, how to place a shard in a teleporter, or how to name a crystal. They also say nothing about teleport range, cross-dimension limits, cooldowns, power or fluid costs, or item automation such as hoppers and pipes. I'm leaving those out rather than guessing.
How do you progress through Simple Teleporters?
4 parts
The sources for this pack show a short crafting chain built around the Ender Shard and the Teleporter. They show no upgraded teleporter versions, so this section follows that chain step by step.[3]
First: the Ender Shard
The Ender Shard is the starting point. In this pack it is made by smelting, not by crafting, so you need a smelting setup before anything else.[3]
Next: the Teleporter
The Teleporter is a shaped crafting recipe that needs an Ender Shard. The recipe below shows the exact in-pack layout.[3]
Crafting Shaped
| Empty slot | Empty slot | |
| any gold storage block | any netherite ingot | any gold storage block |
Recipe id: simpleteleporters:teleporter
The quest
In the quest book, a quest in "?" sits in the exploration combat chapter and has no title in the quest file. Its tasks are the Teleporter and the Ender Shard, so it matches the crafting chain above.[2]
Clearing a shard
The pack also has a shapeless crafting recipe called clear shard. It takes an Ender Shard and gives back an Ender Shard.[3]
Which FTB StoneBlock 4 quests use Simple Teleporters?
Same as in the FTB StoneBlock 4 1.21.0 guide
In this pack, Simple Teleporters appears in a single quest, in the exploration and combat chapter of the quest book.[6]
- The quest a quest in "?" has no title in the pack files. Its tasks are an item task for the Teleporter and an item task for the Ender Shard.[6]
Because this is the only quest that involves the mod, there is no sequence of Simple Teleporters quests to follow. You complete it by providing both items.[6]
Which Simple Teleporters config options matter?
1 part
The Simple Teleporters config covered here is the client-side file, so the options below change what you see on your own screen rather than how teleporters work.[5]
Client options
- client.disableNameplate is set to false in this pack, which matches the mod default of false. That means the nameplate shown above a teleporter with a named crystal is visible. Set it to true if you want to hide those nameplates.[5]
- client.disableParticles is set to false in this pack, which also matches the mod default of false. The particles shown above an active teleporter stay on. Set it to true if you want to turn them off.[5]
The pack hasn't changed either value from the mod default, so you're getting the stock experience here.[5]
