What is Reliquified Twilight Forest?

2 parts

Reliquified Twilight Forest is a compatibility addon that connects Relics and Twilight Forest. It adds a set of thematic relics tied to the Twilight Forest dimension.[1]

You get these relics by defeating Twilight Forest bosses. Each one grants you some of the abilities its original owner had, so the boss fights double as a way to expand your toolkit.[1]

Who it's for

This addon is for you if you like Twilight Forest boss progression and want extra rewards from it. The mod requires both Relics and The Twilight Forest to work.[1]

In this pack

The pack includes Reliquified Twilight Forest version 0.5.2, built for Minecraft 1.21.1. Everything in this guide describes that version.[2]

Unverified The sources don't say where the mod fits in the pack's progression, and they don't list specific relics, their abilities, or which boss drops which relic. Check those in-game before you plan around them.

How do you get started with Reliquified Twilight Forest?

2 parts

There's no crafting checklist to follow with this mod. Reliquified Twilight Forest is a compatibility addon between Relics and The Twilight Forest, and it adds themed relics to the Twilight Forest dimension. It needs both of those mods to work.[1]

Your first step: go beat Twilight Forest bosses

The relics come from defeating bosses in the Twilight Forest. Each one gives you some of the abilities its original owner had. So the best first move is to work through the Twilight Forest and take on its bosses.[1]

The item descriptions hint at where some relics come from. The Hydra Heart is described as the most valuable part of a multi-headed, fire-breathing serpent that lives in the fiery depths of the Twilight Forest. The Lich Crown has abilities that make skeletons friendly to you and boost your damage based on biome temperature.[3]

Unverified Which boss drops which relic, and the drop chances, are not confirmed by the sources I have. No in-pack crafting recipes or quests for this mod's items were found, so treat boss drops as the way to get them.

What to know once you have a relic

  • Relics level up through use. Each one has its own leveling source, such as earning experience for every activation of its main ability.[3]
  • Some relics store things. For the Charm Backpack, Chromatic Cloak and Goblin Nose, you right-click the relic in your inventory while holding the item to put it in. To take items back out, your cursor must be empty.[3]
  • The Charm Backpack stores life or inventory charms. When a stored charm activates, it prevents complete destruction and goes on cooldown instead.[3]
  • The Firefly Queen places a firefly nearby when you are in complete darkness. It builds up larvae over time to do this, which makes it handy for caving and exploring.[3]
  • The Goblin Nose worsens your vision but lets you detect valuable ores within a set radius when activated.[3]
Tip: Check each relic's tooltip in game. The exact numbers, like ability ranges, chances and cooldowns, show up there, and the language file only has placeholders for them. I can't confirm this pack's specific values from the sources.[3]

How does Reliquified Twilight Forest work?

3 parts

This mod is a compatibility addon between Relics and The Twilight Forest. It adds themed relics that you get by defeating Twilight Forest bosses, and each one gives you some of the abilities of its original owner. It needs both Relics and The Twilight Forest to run.[1]

Unverified The available sources describe no machines, multiblocks, power, fluids or automation for this mod. Everything they cover is relic items and their abilities, so this section sticks to how those work.

Relics that store things

Several relics have their own internal storage, which you fill and empty by clicking in your inventory. Inserting always means right-clicking the relic with the item, and extracting needs an empty cursor.[3]

  • Charm Backpack: holds life or inventory charms. When a stored charm activates, it prevents complete destruction and goes on cooldown, with the length measured in minutes per its level. To store a charm, right-click the backpack in your inventory with it.[3]
  • Chromatic Cloak: stores wool in slots, with a set number of units per slot. Each wool color grants a specific effect, applied for a set number of seconds if it isn't already active, and it uses up one unit of wool. Identical-colored wool slots raise the effect level, up to a maximum.[3]
  • Goblin Nose: when activated, it worsens your vision but sharpens your smell so you can detect valuable ores within a radius. You can also store ore blocks inside the nose, and then the sense recognizes only those ores.[3]
  • Lich Crown: you inlay it with special gems. Each unique gem unlocks a new ability, and extra gems of the same type raise that ability's level. To insert a gem, right-click the crown while holding the gem in your inventory. To remove one, right-click the crown with an empty cursor.[3]
Tip: The Lich Crown's description says its full potential is unlocked by uniting all ten gems, so you'll want to keep every gem type you find.[3]

Relic leveling

Relics level up through use. Each ability has a leveling source that awards experience points when the ability does its thing. The Charm Backpack earns XP each time a stored charm activates. The Firefly Queen earns it for each firefly placed, and the Goblin Nose for each ore mined while its ability is active. The Giant Glove earns it for each block broken or entity hit with an item it has enhanced.[3]

The Deer Antler works a little differently. It gives XP for every 3 seconds you spend with a creature on your antlers.[3]

Ability behavior worth knowing

  • Lich Crown, Frostbite: stacks a frostbite effect on attack. Once the effect exceeds 7 seconds, the target takes 1 damage through armor every 2 seconds until it ends.[3]
  • Lich Crown, Lifedrain: triggers when your health falls below 20%. It drains health from all targets within a radius for 5 seconds, then goes on cooldown.[3]
  • Lich Crown, Frenzy: attacking different targets in a row increases your damage per hit. Hitting a target you already attacked, or not attacking for more than 5 seconds, resets the bonus.[3]
  • Lich Crown, Ethereal Transformation: projectiles aimed at you pass through harmlessly. After a set number of deflections, the ability goes on cooldown.[3]
  • Lich Crown, Twilight Sovereign: grants full immortality inside the boundaries of the Twilight Forest.[3]
  • Hydra Heart: when you take damage, it has a chance to drop a blood droplet. On landing, the droplet creates a damaging area that ignites targets for 5 seconds.[3]
  • Deer Antler: used on a creature under a maximum hitbox volume, it places the creature on your antlers and stops it from damaging you.[3]
  • Firefly Queen: builds up firefly larvae in an internal buffer, up to a maximum. When you are in complete darkness, it uses 1 larva and places a firefly nearby.[3]
  • Invisibility Cloak: grants full invisibility after you stay completely still or keep sneaking, uninterrupted, for a set time. It can also hide your equipped armor.[3]

Unverified Many exact values (storage capacities, cooldown lengths, proc chances, XP amounts and the gem count's per-ability effects) are filled in by the game and don't appear in the available sources. The pack's actual values for these are unconfirmed, so check the in-game tooltips.
