What is PipezRetriever?
4 parts
PipezRetriever is a small addon for Pipez. It adds a Retrieve Mode to Pipez pipes, so a pipe can pull items, fluids and energy out of connected inventories instead of only pushing them in.[1]
The pack includes PipezRetriever version 0.0.1.[2]
What it changes
The mod adds an Extract/Retrieve button at the top-left of the pipe configuration screen. Extract Mode is the default and works the way Pipez normally does: it pushes items, fluids or energy from the source to the connected destinations. Retrieve Mode reverses the flow and pulls from the connected destinations into the source.[1]
Retrieve Mode works with the existing Pipez configuration options, so you don't have to relearn your pipe setups.[1]
Supported pipe types
Who it's for
It's for you if you already use Pipez and want a pipe to pull from a chest, tank or other inventory instead of pushing into it. It's a quality-of-life addon, not a standalone logistics system, because it needs Pipez to work.[1]
Progression
Unverified The sources don't show where PipezRetriever fits in this pack's progression. The mod isn't on the ATM Star quest path, no quests in this pack involve it, and no in-jar guidebook was found. Whether Mekanism is in this pack, which gas pipe retrieve mode needs, is also unconfirmed.
How do you get started with PipezRetriever?
3 parts
PipezRetriever is a small addon for Pipez. It doesn't add a pile of new machines. It adds one feature to the pipes you already know: Retrieve Mode, which lets a pipe pull items, fluids and energy from connected inventories instead of only pushing them out.[1]
Step 1: Start with a Pipez pipe
There is nothing separate to craft first. PipezRetriever works on Pipez pipes and needs Pipez installed. It supports item, fluid, energy and universal pipes, and gas pipes too if Mekanism is also installed. So the first thing to make is whichever Pipez pipe fits the job you have in mind.[1]
I couldn't find any recipes that produce this mod's items, so there is no recipe block here. You use the pipes you already have.[1]
Step 2: Find the Extract/Retrieve button
Open the pipe's configuration screen. The mod adds an Extract/Retrieve button in the top-left of that UI.[1]
- Extract mode is the default. It pushes items, fluids or energy from the source to the connected destinations.[1][3]
- Retrieve mode is the toggle. It pulls items, fluids or energy from the connected inventories into the source.[1][3]
Retrieve mode works with the existing Pipez configuration options, so you don't have to relearn how your pipes are set up.[1]
What I can't confirm yet
No quests in this pack involve the mod, and I have no in-pack guidebook for it. So the steps above are everything I can back up.[1]
Unverified One of the mod's tooltips reads "Requires at least a Basic Upgrade". The sources don't say which feature it applies to, how you get that upgrade in this pack, or whether it affects Retrieve Mode.
How does PipezRetriever work?
3 parts
PipezRetriever is a small addon for Pipez that adds one big idea: Retrieve Mode. Normally a pipe pushes things out of the block it's attached to. With this addon, the same pipe can pull things in instead.[1]
Extract vs. Retrieve
The mod adds an Extract/Retrieve button to the top-left of the pipe configuration UI. Its tooltip is "Toggle Retrieve Mode".[1][3]
- Extract Mode is the default. It pushes items, fluids or energy from the source to the connected destinations. The in-game tooltip reads "Extract (Push to destinations)".[1][3]
- Retrieve Mode pulls items, fluids or energy from the connected destinations into the source. The in-game tooltip reads "Retrieve (Pull from destinations)".[1][3]
In other words, the pipe stays the same and only the direction of flow changes. That's handy when you want a pipe network to collect from several inventories into one place instead of spreading out from one.[1][3]
Supported pipe types
Retrieve Mode works with every Pipez pipe type the mod lists:[1]
- Item Pipes[1]
- Fluid Pipes[1]
- Energy Pipes[1]
- Gas Pipes, which need Mekanism installed for retrieve support[1]
- Universal Pipes[1]
The project page also says Retrieve Mode works with all existing Pipez configuration options. The sources don't go into detail on what those options do, so check Pipez itself for how each one behaves.[1]
Requirements
The project page lists Minecraft 1.21.1, NeoForge 21.1.77 or newer, and Pipez 1.21.1-1.2.19 or newer. Mekanism is an optional dependency, needed only for Gas Pipe retrieve support.[1]
Unverified The mod includes a tooltip reading "Requires at least a Basic Upgrade", but the available sources don't say which feature it applies to or how upgrades interact with Retrieve Mode. Transfer rates, filters and other limits in retrieve mode are also not documented in the sources.

Items and blocks
We can't match this mod to the pack's item list: it registers as pipezretriever, and the pack's recipe dump has nothing under that name. That means we found nothing, not that the mod adds nothing. Search the item browser
