What is Waystones: Sable (Create Aeronautics Addon)?
2 parts
Waystones: Sable is a small compatibility mod. Sable adds SubLevels, which are independent physical structures embedded in the same dimension, and the Waystones mod doesn't natively understand them. Without a fix you get broken teleportation, invalid waystones and desync. This addon teaches Waystones how to behave inside and around SubLevels, so your waystones work in normal space and on Sable structures alike.[1]
What it fixes
- Teleportation: players are teleported into and out of SubLevels correctly, including coordinate transforms and entity motion resets.[1]
- Validation: waystones placed inside SubLevels are recognised as valid, even when the SubLevel is stored or unloaded.[1]
- Distance calculation: sorting and distance checks account for SubLevel projections, so the closest waystone really is the closest.[1]
- Client synchronization: SubLevel state, tracking and freeze packets are synced to the client after teleporting, which prevents rubber-banding and ghost waystones.[1]
- Warp Plates: entity detection and arrival logic are fixed for Warp Plates located inside SubLevels.[1]
- Labeling: waystones inside SubLevels show a [SubLevel] tag in the selection screen.[1]
In this pack
This pack ships version 1.0.7 of the mod, and it has been included since pack version 1.0.3 or earlier.[2]
The project page says no extra configuration is needed: you install it alongside its dependencies and play. It needs Waystones, Sable and Create, and it has to be installed on both the server and the client for full functionality.[1]
How do you get started with Waystones: Sable (Create Aeronautics Addon)?
1 part
Good news: there is nothing to craft first here. Waystones: Sable is a compatibility mod. It lets Waystones work properly inside Sable's SubLevel system, which fixes teleportation, validation, distance calculation and client synchronization for waystones placed inside or targeting SubLevels.[1]
So your first steps are the normal Waystones ones. This mod just makes sure they keep working once your builds involve SubLevels.[1]
What to do first
- Set up and use your waystones as you normally would. The project page says no additional configuration is required.[1]
- If you want a waystone on a SubLevel structure, go ahead and place it there. Waystones inside SubLevels are recognized as valid, even when the SubLevel is stored or unloaded.[1]
- When you open the selection screen, look for the [SubLevel] tag. It marks the waystones that are inside SubLevels.[1]
- Trust the sorting. Distance checks account for SubLevel projections, so the closest waystone in the list really is the closest.[1]
The mod also defines a waystone group named "Sable SubLevels", so you may see that name in the waystone interface.[3]
Warp Plates are covered too. The mod fixes entity detection and arrival logic for Warp Plates located inside SubLevels.[1]
Unverified The sources for this pack show no crafting recipes, quests or config options for this mod, so nothing pack-specific beyond the behavior above is confirmed.
How does Waystones: Sable (Create Aeronautics Addon) work?
3 parts
This mod doesn't add machines, multiblocks or new items to manage. It's a compatibility layer that lets Waystones work correctly with Sable's SubLevel system. A SubLevel is an independent physical structure embedded in the same dimension. Waystones doesn't understand these natively, which causes broken teleportation, invalid waystones and desync. This mod fixes that.[1]
What it fixes
- Teleportation: players are teleported into and out of SubLevels correctly. The mod handles coordinate transforms, entity motion resets and cross-dimensional logic.[1]
- Validation: a waystone placed inside a SubLevel is still recognized as valid, even when that SubLevel is stored or unloaded.[1]
- Distance calculation: sorting and distance checks take SubLevel projections into account, so the closest waystone really is the closest.[1]
- Client synchronization: SubLevel state, tracking and freeze packets are synced to the client after teleportation. This prevents rubber-banding and ghost waystones.[1]
- Warp Plates: entity detection and arrival logic are fixed for Warp Plates located inside SubLevels.[1]
What you'll see in the selection screen
Waystones inside SubLevels are visually marked with a [SubLevel] tag in the selection screen, so you can tell them apart from waystones in normal space. The mod's language file also defines a waystone group named "Sable SubLevels".[1][3]
Setup notes
It depends on Waystones, Sable and Create, along with NeoForge for Minecraft 1.21.1. If you hit a bug, the project page asks you to make sure every dependency is up to date. Then report the Minecraft, NeoForge and mod versions, the steps to reproduce it and, if possible, the relevant part of the log.[1]
What changed in Waystones: Sable (Create Aeronautics Addon) between versions?
1 part
FTB Skies 2: Aero 1.10.0 ships Waystones: Sable (Create Aeronautics Addon) 1.0.7. The addon has been in the pack since 1.0.3 or earlier, so you've had it for a good while. The pack changelogs have no entries for this mod, so everything below comes from the mod's own changelogs.[2]
Mod releases
- 1.0.7 (the version in this pack): fixes a Twinbound issue. The changelog gives no further detail.[2][4]
- 1.0.6: fixes a bug where the plate didn't work in a sub level inside an unloaded chunk.[5]
- 1.0.5: updated compatibility for Waystones 21.1.36 and Sable 2.0.3, and replaced the Mixin with the new Waystones API.[6]
The 1.0.5 change is the biggest one here. Instead of hooking into Waystones with a Mixin, the addon now uses the API that Waystones provides.[6]

Items and blocks
We can't match this mod to the pack's item list: it registers as waystonessable, and the pack's recipe dump has nothing under that name. That means we found nothing, not that the mod adds nothing. Search the item browser
