Stuck? Why it might not be working
- Create Aeronautics: the propeller spins but the ship won't moveA spinning propeller does not prove it is pushing your ship. A ship moves only when the rotor is assembled on the bearing, the bearing is part of the ship, and thrust is above zero; this page checks each one, including a known relog bug that has no fixed version yet.Checked against the versions in FTB Skies 2: Aero 1.13.0.

What is Create Aeronautics?
2 parts
Create Aeronautics builds on the systems of Create so you can make vehicles and physics contraptions, powered by Sable. Think planes, drones and hot-air balloons, but also cars, trucks and whimsical gizmos. This pack includes version 1.3.2.[1][2]
The 3 sections of content
- Simulated is the core of the project. It provides assembly, redstone components and all the tools you need to interact with simulated contraptions.[1]
- Aeronautics covers flying contraptions, using hot air, propellers and magic floating rocks.[1]
- Offroad lets you put almost anything that looks like a wheel to work in a land vehicle.[1]
Requirements and known issues
Both Sable and Create must be installed for Create Aeronautics to work. The mod's own page also lists a known incompatibility: it currently has visual issues with Iris Shaders, so keep that in mind if you add shaders to the pack.[1]
This pack's mod list shows Create Aeronautics has been part of the pack since version 1.0.3 or earlier.[2]
How do you get started with Create Aeronautics?
2 parts
Create Aeronautics builds on Create and lets you make vehicles and physics contraptions, from planes, drones and hot-air balloons to cars and trucks. It runs on Sable, so both Create and Sable have to be installed for it to work.[1]
The three sections of content
The mod is split into 3 sections, and knowing what each one does tells you what to look for first.[1]
- Simulated is the core. It provides assembly, redstone components and the tools you need to interact with simulated contraptions.[1]
- Aeronautics covers flying contraptions, using hot air, propellers and magic floating rocks.[1]
- Offroad lets you put almost anything that looks like a wheel to use in land vehicles.[1]
Where to begin
Because Simulated is the core of the mod, the sensible order is to start there. Get the assembly and interaction tools first, then move on to Aeronautics for flight or Offroad for wheels, depending on what you want to build.[1]
Unverified The exact first items to craft in this pack, their order and their in-pack recipes could not be confirmed from the available sources, so this guide does not list them yet.
How does Create Aeronautics work?
2 parts
Create Aeronautics builds on the systems of Create so you can make vehicles and physics contraptions, powered by Sable. The project page lists planes, drones, hot-air balloons, cars, trucks and whimsical gizmos as things you can build.[1]
The three sections
The mod's content is split into 3 sections, and each one covers a different part of building a vehicle.[1]
- Simulated is the core of the project. It provides assembly, redstone components and the tools you need to interact with simulated contraptions.[1]
- Aeronautics is for flying contraptions. It uses hot air, propellers and magic floating rocks.[1]
- Offroad lets you use almost anything that looks like a wheel to make land vehicles.[1]
Requirements and known issues
You need both Sable and Create installed to play Create Aeronautics. Sable is the physics system the vehicles run on, and Create is what the mod expands.[1]
What changed in Create Aeronautics between versions?
3 parts
FTB Skies 2: Aero 1.10.0 ships Create Aeronautics 1.3.2. The mod has been in the pack since 1.0.3 or earlier. Below are the notable changes from the mod's own changelogs, newest first.[2]

- Fixed the Swivel Bearing not adjusting its mass when assembled properly.[3]
1.3.1
- Fixed CC compatibility with the Linked Typewriter.[4]
- Portable Engines no longer remove creative blaze cakes from survival players.[4]
- Tires can now specify a minimum friction.[4]
- Fixed some issues with Docking Connector fluid handling.[4]
1.3.0
This release updated the mod to Sable 2.0.0 and came with a long list of additions, balance changes and fixes.[5]
- New: Docking Connectors can transfer FE.[5]
- New: Typewriters give a comparator output while in use and support custom names.[5]
- New: a custom Steering Wheel GUI when you wear goggles, a new Gyroscopic Mechanism texture, statistics on various items, and a config to hide the "new ponder!" tooltip.[5]
- Balance: the Optical Sensor range was reduced by 0.5 blocks, hot air gusts were rebalanced, and Propellers no longer push entities they have no line of sight to.[5]
- Behaviour: Borehead Bearings no longer break blocks with no collision shape, fake players can't use Plunger Launchers, and the Velocity Sensor display link readout is no longer negative.[5]
- Swivel Bearing fixes: constraints now apply when the plate is in the world, disassembly works when the base and plate share a sub-level, and a disassembled bearing no longer updates its target angle.[5]
- Crash fixes covered the Linked Typewriter, Springs, the Optical Sensor with waterlogged blocks, the Steam Burner on servers, Levitite catalyzing on the client, and a ServiceLoader crash in large modpacks.[5]
- Other fixes: Redstone Inductor charge and discharge speed and model, Spring and Torsion Spring behaviour, Spring and Physics Staff rendering with Iris, Adjustable Burner sound performance, Ropes now respect the tile drops gamerule, and a Honey Glue recipe fix.[5]

Items and blocks
We can't match this mod to the pack's item list: it registers as aeronautics_bundled, and the pack's recipe dump has nothing under that name. That means we found nothing, not that the mod adds nothing. Search the item browser
